Utmost professionals. They showed up on time and took down two dead pine trees. Their chipper is INCREDIBLE. It is huge and can chip trees that are about 18 inches in diameter. Oh, and it is also remote controlled. It was so cool watching the trees come down, and how quickly and efficiently all the brush and limbs were chipped. Also, they were easily the most cost effective. We got three bids, and two others couldn't even get to the trees with their chipper. It was a pleasure watching this team work. Fabulous Job. The tree they partially took down was maybe 60 feet tall. I had built an substantial tree house, two levels 8x8 12 ft high, around the tree. I needed the lower part preserved and left about 6 ft above the upper floor without damaging the tree house. Mission accomplished. They clean up everything and left me with 10 18 inch rounds as I requested. They used a really cool bucket machine that easily got into my yard. The owner is very knowledgeable about trees and gave me tips to help maintain the other large tree I have in the back yard. I have used Crossfire to help me with trees on my replacement home in Magalia. One involved Oak tree limbs hanging over my house and a couple of trees overhanging my driveway. Second time, I had several more trees next to my drive way, which could have trapped me because they were leaning toward the driveway. Last time I had Crossfire come in and remove a huge Oak Tree which had fallen in my backyard and posed a fire hazard. Each time they arrived on time. Each time, when they left, you couldn't tell they had been here. They went so far as to use leaf rakes to remove small sticks. Lastly, their prices were very fair. I have a 3 acre property in Paradise that went through the devastation of the Camp Fire. I called DJ, the owner of Crossfire, who came to my RV set amongst the vestiges of old walnut and fruit trees and burned ponderosa pines and weeds. I wanted to save as much as possible and you could tell he loved Paradise as well as its trees. After assessing my place he sent out a well oiled machine to my place. It was amazing to watch. Chainsaws, masticating, weed whacking, raking. Skidsters, trucks to haul the debris away. He had a feller who felled a large pine into my small orchard, and like watching a brilliant surgeon, he placed it where not even a twig from an old apple tree was touched. Clean up immaculate. Fast, Quality work with fair pricing. It's been 4 years now, my home is now rebuilt. I've had Crossfire come out yearly for fire safety /weed abatement and I'm very happy. They limbed up, pruned some of my resprouting trees to help regrow and took down those trees attacked by pine beetles or drought. If you need yard cleanup or a fire-prevention barrier, Crossfire Tree and Vegetation is the way to go. I hired DJ Gomes to clear two acres of downed shrubbery and limbs. In approximately two hours, he masticated the vegetation to mulch in place and moved the larger trees to a convenient location for firewood cutting. The work he did would have taken me approximately two weeks to clear. He was very reasonable price-wise as well, charging well under what it would have cost me to hire a crew to perform approximately the same quality of work. I highly recommend this company. read more

I met with DJ Gombs and his crew at a radio antenna site in Cohasset on July 13, 2017 to have them start clearing years of brush and tree over growth for a fire protection zone. DJ had a crew of 6 or 7 men running chain saws, a chipper and their big Masticator machine. It looks like an over sized Bob Cat with a set of devouring blades on the front that really rip up the brush, small trees and other types of overgrowth.
