**Please just save your money and go elsewhere. If i could, id give no stars, but unfortunately, I…read moredo have to provide at least one** On May 5, 2025, I enrolled in a gym membership under a "5 de Mayo" promotion, which included three complimentary personal training sessions. During the first personal training session, I was coerced into signing a six-month personal training contract despite not having used the remaining two complimentary sessions. My account was set up for automatic payment. I was not made aware of any errors by gym staff until approximately three to four months later, when I began receiving calls from a legal attorney attempting to collect payments. This was confusing, as my account had been on auto-pay and I had not authorized any additional charges. After contacting the gym by phone and receiving no resolution, I was instructed to come in person. During that visit, I was informed by higher-level staff that the issue resulted from a staff error. Specifically, another individual's payment information had been entered onto my account without proper verification. I did not legally provide authorization for this change. As a result of this error, my payments were incorrectly reported as past due, my credit was negatively impacted, and I was subjected to repeated collection calls. When going again in person, I had a very unprofessional interaction with front desk staff. I asked for support, and the staff member blamed the issue on me and stated that I deserved for my credit to be negatively affected. I then requested assistance from someone else, as the first staff member was being condescending. The staff member smirked and stated that she was the only one who could provide support. I called for a staff member who was passing by to assist me, and with his help, I was able to get the issue resolved and spoke with a manager regarding the matter. Later, approaching December 2025, I sought to close my account. I was informed that I had to be added to a three-month personal training contract to pay off the balance stemming from the earlier staff error. Reluctantly, I agreed to this arrangement. I was verbally informed that I could officially close the account on the final day of that three-month period. On February 5, 2026, I returned to pay off the remaining balance to close my account earlier than planned. I was told I would need to provide a 30-day notice, despite previously providing what effectively served as a 90-day notice through the three-month contract agreement. As a result, I was forced to pay for an additional month for both membership and personal training. During that same visit, I requested a written statement documenting the previously acknowledged staff error to submit to the credit bureau. The manager I spoke with stated he would communicate this request to the appropriate parties, as he himself was not authorized to issue it. The following day, I attempted to follow up via phone but received conflicting information regarding the manager's availability and was denied direct contact with a supervisor, despite being informed that a supervisor is the appropriate person to handle this matter.

This place im very upset with them , first of all im retired and live on a buget , so when they…read moresaid 15.00 a month I was happy , turns out its its 15.00 every 2 weeks I was never told that plus I bought the plan which was 69.00 now this is a total scam all you get for 69 dollars is a trainer for 3 times that's it , but if I would have known that it was every 2 weeks I would have never signed up ,because I live on a pension check which only comes once a month totally disgusted with how business take advantage of people .

super grateful to have had this experience! joined for the 6 week challenge and i'm super pleased…read morewith my results! im super appreciative to have had coach Mel to guide me through this challenge and im thankful for all the advice she gave me on the daily as well as after every weekly meeting. all though this challenge might be over i will definitely carry on with all the things i learned and use them for my daily life from now on! workouts were always killer and challenging, but also could always be modified if anything was too hard for me. all the coaches here have a great energy and motivate each and one of us individually which i love, they never make anyone feel any less and pay close attention to make sure you've got all the forms right so that you can get the best out of the hour workout as possible. definitely feel like this is only the beginning and that i can get even better results as i stick to this gym to help me through it.

This is for the mcallen location. Beware attending this group class gym! this gym used to have a…read morevery positive, welcoming, and motivating environment. Unfortunately, the atmosphere has changed significantly, and much of the responsibility now seems to fall on only two coaches who are consistently having to pick up the slack. There are ongoing concerns regarding Ashleys professionalism, coaching ability, energy, and engagement with members. Us members have expressed frustration with her horrible attitude and the quality of her coaching. To be completely direct, Others and I do not believe Ashley is a good fit for a coaching position. Her coaching lacks the energy, motivation, instruction, and professionalism that members should be able to expect from a coach. She does not create an encouraging environment, and there have been repeated concerns about her attitude and the way she interacts with all of us. Quite frankly, it is embarrassing and disappointing to see that, after so many complaints and repeated opportunities to address these concerns, Ashley is still employed and continues to represent this gym as a coach. The fact that management continues to retain and reward an employee despite consistent negative feedback from members reflects poorly on the gym and raises serious questions. These are not isolated complaints from one person. These concerns have not only been discussed verbally with Vince in person, but multiple of us have also submitted emails to him regarding the same issues. What is especially frustrating is that, despite the repeated feedback, it does not appear that these concerns are being addressed. Instead, she continues to receive additional hours and responsibilities, including coaching the kid classes, sales duties, while members continue to experience the same issues. This has left many of us questioning whether member feedback is actually being taken seriously. This is by far the worst coach FITLab has ever had out of the 5 years i have been attending. Mel and Brian are both great coaches who bring energy, encouragement, and professionalism to the gym, and they are deeply appreciated by many of us. It is disappointing to see great coaches come and go.While a coach who has received numerous complaints continues to remain in a position without any apparent improvement or accountability. At this point, this is bigger than simply not liking a coach. This is about the quality of the member experience and the direction of the gym. Us members should not have to repeatedly complain about the same issue and feel as though nobody is listening. If management continues to ignore consistent feedback, it sends the message that member satisfaction and the quality of coaching are not priorities. If management has reviewed the complaints and the feedback from members, I believe the appropriate action is to remove Ashley from the coaching position and, ultimately, terminate her employment since obviously her performance and conduct cannot meet the standards expected of a coach and employee. All of us should not have to REPEATEDLY complain about the same issue and feel as though nobody is listening. Great coaches should be recognized, supported, and appreciated not pushed aside while a coach who consistently receives negative feedback is given more opportunities.
