I love this CrossFit gym! I have been a member for 3yrs now. I have nothing but great things to say. The owner Andrew is an amazing coach on all levels, to first timers to experience members. What I love the most are the small classes and his ability to focus on every member every time.

    Is a contract required?

Hey Isaac, we do not require contracts or commitments. Unlike 24 hour fitness, we want our members to come to class everyday because if you're not showing up you're not getting any better. Sounds like a Free No Sweat Intro is right up your alley.…

The gym floor was broken up into 4 areas: cardio, functional training, free weights and weight machines and racks. The cardio area was probably the largest area. Everything I saw seemed to be in good working condition. The locker rooms were standard size for a Fitness 19 and with limited showers. The negatives are that the free weight/ weight machine area was crowded and the cardio StairMasters were filthy.

This hostile behavior is entirely unacceptable, shows a severe lack of basic politeness, and damages the company's brand image.Modern artificial intelligence systems offer better, more useful, and far more consistent customer service than the current front-desk team. To improve operations and eliminate this toxic environment, the company should completely restructure its business model to reduce overhead and human error. Transitioning to an online-only sign-up process, an automated entry gate, one competent manager, a single dedicated personal trainer, and a security guard would save the business money while completely removing hostile frontline workers from the member experience. Due to the current lack of oversight, I am taking my daily business and workout energy to a competing facility

After a year of training with…read morehim, I built my confidence (and stamina) enough to sign up for Leo's strength and conditioning course. Five years later, I married Colin--a fellow iron warehouse weightlifter. Now we have a baby, and I'm trying to find time to get back to the gym. Even though we live in Castro Valley, we try to find time to go to Iron Warehouse because it's worth it for the community. Leo does an amazing job of uplifting people that want to get into shape--and stay in shape! Truly, he creates a community in this little garage gym. It's the kind of place where people wave hello to each other as they arrive. You get out what you put in. Get ready to sweat. :)

I was able to have a consultation with him to discuss my current abilities/limitations and my goals, and he designed a personalized program for me to achieve success. His credentials are on full display through his extensive knowledge on proper form, mechanics, and motion of the body. He is not intimidating, but will motivate you to give 110%. Also, his payment plans are reasonable and won't burn a hole in your wallet. Michael pushes me to be the best I can be and I have no doubt that with his support I will be able to exceed my goals. I am a big fan of the open layout here. I don't feel cramped at all and feel completely comfortable/confident with the space they provide. They also have an abundance of equipment/tools for you to not only accomplish your own fitness goals, but to explore new ones as well. There are plenty of amenities and programs they offer for your to explore; however, I have yet to experience them so my review is limited in that regard. Ultimately, this is is a wonderful facility to repeatedly lift heavy things and put them back down, and I recommend you come check it out.

They have some really great equipment that is hard to…read morefind elsewhere, especially for building glutes (multiple hip thrust machines from Peach Builder, RDL machine which I've never seen anywhere else, standing hip abduction, angled squat, you name it). They also have a ton of squat racks and benches available so you can probably always find equipment--we came while half the squat racks were taken because a class was in session and we (3 of us) still didn't need to wait for any equipment. My only complaint is that there is no designated room for the classes, so it can get really loud while they're teaching them because you have to work out in the same area. It would have been good to have a warning about that before.

Update, still a beautiful facility, very clean but I have some things I'm not crazy about…read more 1.It's stuffy, I don't know if they use the AC, but if they do it's still warm, like mid 70's feeling which is abnormal if you're used to commercial gyms which temps hover around 67-72 degrees. They recently put in two industrial sized fans, but it doesn't solve the lack of ventilation/circulation 2.They are always out of paper towels but they do have small microfiber rags available 3.The incline bench press has a platform for a spotter but it is too close to the wall 4. Their water filter says it needs to be replaced, I don't know if that is accurate or not, but I did try it and it tastes fine. 5.The parking lot gets tight, I wonder if the spaces are not regular sized because I have had to climb into the driver's seat through the passenger's side because someone parked too close even though I park pretty smack dab in the middle between the lines. For double the price of a typical gym points 1 and 2 seem very fixable. The rest are just small grievances, or simply observations. Still a great gym. Love the culture and appreciate the gym etiquette compared to commercial gyms. The trainers are knowledgeable and kind.

Community is humble, passionate and about the right size (not too big feeling crowded or not too small). You have various options (CrossFit, bootcamp, powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting etc) to chose from depending on interest and where you are at in your fitness journey.

I had no background in CrossFit or weightlifting and felt completely new to it all, but they explained the basics clearly, kept things motivating, and often stepped in to correct form so we built the right foundation. That gave me confidence and made the classes something I looked forward to instead of dreaded. Over time, I enjoyed Boot Camp so much that I moved into CrossFit. I'm still a beginner in CrossFit and probably will be for a while but my weight loss has accelerated since making the switch, and I've started feeling stronger, healthier, and more positive overall. So far, I've had classes with seven different coaches plus Brad, the owner, and every one of them has been dedicated, approachable, and engaged. Each coach has their own style, which makes it fun you pick up something new in every session. Brad himself is humble and very committed to building the kind of community that makes people want to keep coming back. The best part of this gym is the great community of coaches n people. It's full of people who push themselves, encourage each other, and make the hard work enjoyable. If you're looking for a place that challenges you but also supports you, CrossFit One World is it. Joining here has been one of the best decisions for my health and well-being.
