The community is awesome- super friendly, welcoming, and just a great vibe overall. Everyone I talk to has been here for 4, 5, 6, even 7+ years, which says everything about how special this place is. The coaches are amazing, focused on correct form, building skill, and making sure you get the most out of every workout. They have scaled options for everything, so no matter where you're at, you'll feel like you can do this and grow. I love walking in, seeing the workout, and thinking, I'm going to do that?! The "during" is always challenging, but walking out feeling proud and accomplished makes it all worth it. I've made this part of my daily routine, and I'm already seeing results. There are many clients that have been here as long, or longer than me. I appreciate the classbased teaching, with an individualized touch. The coaches and owners know my name. There is such a sense of community here. I have a complete home gym, but I still love coming to CrossFit EW for the community and a class. I certainly push myself more in a group situation, and I appreciate the coaches watching each one of us, giving tips and tricks and pointers. They won't even go so far as to tell you how much weight to lift or give you additional exercise options if you're not comfortable with a particular exercise or if you were not very proficient in a particular exercise. I appreciate their expertise. This gym is not a typical CrossFit gym because it has a towel service, clean bathrooms, clean showers, plenty of parking, as well as a small bar area which serves protein shakes to order. The equipment is in good shape, and there is plenty of equipment for everyone in the class. You also don't have to clean up after yourself, like some CrossFit gyms, this place has a cleaning crew and the coaches are very good about keeping it clean. Of course you have to return your own equipment, you can't leave it sitting out, but those are the same rules for any gym. There are new monthly challenges, a whiteboard to post your personal goals, and fun member events sporadically throughout the year. This is a great gym to start your journey of fitness. They focus on physical and mental well-being, exercise, and nutrition. There are so many different classes and courses available, as well as individualized training. I decided to check out Uncanny and was pleasantly surprised at how much I have learned from Coach Vinny in the short amount of time I have been there. He actually coaches throughout the wod and offers cues and corrections in a way that I am able to understand quickly. He is very observant of minor details which makes a world of a difference. The gym is fairly large compared to other boxes in the area. There is no A/C, which, I should deduct a star for, but since that is the classic "crossfit/warehouse" way, I wont LOL. I leave the gym drenched in sweat, sore the next day, and with better technique and direction. I am glad I checked this place out! My only recommendation would be to reduce the amount of Gator gear around the gym because its a bit nausating. Go Noles :-)
