The rest is machines along with a spot for a dumbbell area and there is a row of 4-5 smith machines. There is 1 leg press machine that you can use with free weights. I've never used the locker room, so I can't speak on that. Otherwise this place is fine, it's always been clean and I've only interacted with the front desk when checking in and it's been fine. This facility doesn't have everything I would want in a gym for my personal needs, but it will not stop me from coming here because it is so close and has always been clean. There is plenty of parking, but it could use an update on painting lines. As long as you know what equipment is at whatever workout facility you want to workout at either within PF or outside, it's on the consumer to make that decision of what they want to do. I'm taking down a star because the Internet has been spotty and laggy for me in there, I don't ever use public wifi. This is when I need to check my email or load up an app on my phone, it can take a while for it to load. With that all being said this facility is great.. if you choose to work out here, just be aware of what equipment is available.

I'm used to a gym where the staff talked to customers, walked around and offered help. Most of the time the new people don't seem too friendly, like your bothering them. I was super disappointed one night when a new employee apparently went on break and proceeded to join me in the massage chair room.....as she talked on her phone....loudly. Oh well. I will still go there! Hell I might even work there if I had a chance! But I would smile and be more engaging.

It's is a little small, but personally I don't mind that. I haven't had to fight for a bench or for weights despite the small space. It's very clean, doesn't have that 'gym' sort of smell. The equipment is all up to date, with some of the coolest treadmills I've seen to date (hello Netflix while you jog!) The bathrooms and showers are private, which is nice. There's a big multipurpose room where they have group classes, but it can be used when it's empty. The bottom line? I go out of my way to go to this gym. It's the absolute best!

I texted him inquiring about cancelling and he responded "who is this?" So I assumed I had a wrong number. The membership was supposed to be up in April but I wasn't charged after March so I figured it had cancelled. I was charged in June so we contacted him as to why, he had us come in to the gym that day after we showed him screenshots of where we tried to contact him to satisfy his 30 day notice for cancellation requirement. He had us sign a form to cancel after telling us we would be refunded for June and that we wouldn't be charged anymore. I was charged again in July and when I contacted him he said because we signed after June 1st that we would be charged for July, after reminding him he told us to our faces we wouldn't be charged again he called me entitled and told me to file a complaint about it and then blocked my number. The most irresponsible slimy business owner I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Do not waste your time here

Rocky loses his temper over the slightest little thing (even rules that are not written or posted anywhere). He keeps a gun on him at all times, which I normally wouldn't mind but with a state of mind like his it always made me nervous. Without going into detail on the exact scenarios (because that would take FOREVER), the number of times that he freaked out on us and other paying customers and screamed in peoples face or got otherwise upset over rules that were never spoken or written anywhere or over things that weren't even rules to begin with is too much to count. If the Rocky's mania and temper problems aren't enough to dissuade you, a lot of the equipment here is shit. Rocky will say he doesn't buy matching plates because he's not a sissy gym and he's for "real powerlifters", but the reality is that he's just too cheap to buy good equipment. I've been to three other powerlifting gyms in ABQ, all of which you can find plates that actually go together. The place is dangerously hot in the summer, and Rocky will tell you it's so you "don't get injured" from cold muscles, but again he's just being cheap. Don't waste your time or money here.

Just yesterday, presidential proclamations to shrink two national monuments upwards of 80%. Seems like every single day, I got a reason to throw on some boxing gloves and punch a bag. Hard. UFC Gym is my therapist, my stress ball, my escape and the place where I find my focus. It really is that simple: all of that frustration, that powerless hurtle through the everyday, I need an outlet, and if you're feeling me, I can't recommend this place enough. Just drag your ass in the door, the classes are a terrific mix of old fashioned boot camp pain, aerobic exercise, hurt-so-good ab work, and yeah, plenty of punching, kicking, elbows and knees. I don't visit the Rio Rancho location often, but I like the facility, it's much more roomy than my usual spot, and it manages to maintain that familial vibe. If you're more into solo workouts, you'll like the selection of free weights, bikes and other machinery. The employees are super friendly, and they totally understand when you just need to blow off some steam. When the chaos consumes you, sweat it out. Beats the bottle, promise.

I've been a member at Designer Bodies for over a year and I'm excited to see their membership build…read morea little. After moving here, my husband and I were set on finding a good gym for our lifting and after trying half a dozen we tried out Designer Bodies and knew it was perfect for what we needed. It's not as large as some gyms around here but the equipment is some of the best I've seen and the owners are always around. There are a few things that could improve, but hopefully as the membership grows some of those things will happen naturally. I would love if they were able to move all the cardio and yoga mat stuff into a separate back room, it would give more privacy to them and more space for lifting equipment (another squat rack!). Another thing would be if the music changed. Currently, it's a little on the mellow side and I prefer a gym with upbeat music playing over the grunts of everyone working out. I also would love if they had longer hours as my job prevents me from getting in before they close on some nights. But again, these are all small things that are not going to prevent you from having a killer workout. I love the vibe here. Some people, like myself, like to get in and get out, and you can do that here. You can also hang out, like others do, and everyone seems to be pretty friendly so that's cool too.

I don't recommend any person I know to ever go there unless being talked about like a piece of meat is your cup of tea. Then by all means there's a teenage minded douche that wears booty shorts at the same time as a bandana that I'm sure will be there to disrespect you when your not looking. I tried returning when that Jersey Shore wanna be wasn't there(because my company had got a Hotel fairly close to that location)unfortunately it came as no surprise that he had nowhere else to be. As bad luck would have it I showed up before the sun is up, and even after our morning meeting. But everytime the booty short wearing womanizer was there... All in all its unsettling to hear and disturbing to see. Save your money and try a respectable gym.
