Went in for a tour with Lorin, from the beginning it wasn't the most welcoming environment. Overall, the model space was pleasing to the eye. It's unfortunate that they don't show the actual apartment you will be renting. Despite that I went forward with application because I needed something quickly and didn't seem too bad. Plus I really liked that it had a pool, gym and BBQ area. I applied was approved and signed a contract. Few days later I was told the listed date cannot be my move in date anymore because they cannot sign on a day they were closed. Which I understood, mistakes happen. I was then sent a new lease with a higher pricing........ why am I being charged extra because the office made a mistake is beyond me. (They could've at least mentioned that, lucky I read everything) I reached out to Lorin and she did change it to a sooner date that matches the price I agreed too. I don't know whats going on in that leasing office but by the end of the week I had 4 different leases sent to me all inaccurate to what was agreed upon. Due to the inconsistency, I decided to stop by and make sure we're all on the same page before my move in date. Lorin comes out to assist me. I try to explain why I was there as she cuts me off and says if you don't want to live here I can just refund your deposit... my response, was good to know that is now an option and she says I need to tell her now. Obviously, I wasn't going to make an irrational decision so I let her know I would not be moving in that same day by 5pm. It's hard finding a suitable place in our area sometimes but im glad i got out when I did! Ended up hearing similar stories from other tours. Negative energy really turned me off, cant even imagine how it would go if i moved in and needed help! Sounds like a nightmare lol Ended up finding a place and being approved that same day! In 18 years I have seen quite the transformation of these properties, from the major renovations of the dwellings to the amenities that include the club house,with a state of the art workout building, Billiard/gathering room ,huge pool, mailroom and let's not forget the children's playground impressively as well is this private community's four Seasons tenant Activities ( my personal favorite is Halloween ) this year's was even more epic than ever! Would give no stars if I could. This complex is falsely advertised. I was scammed into renting a "luxury" unit priced at $1800. Upon my move in I experienced roaches/pests, a filthy unit where I had to do a heavy duty cleaning and even cleaned up fecal matter numerous times. I stepped on sharp nails in the bedroom carpet where I punctured skin. That issue went unresolved and I was told to just "avoid the area" when walking in the bedroom. I've had several plumbing incidents due to mainline issues. My neighbors experienced these problems as well. The photos of my bathtub & walls shrouded in sewage are posted. The shower curtain rod that they installed was faulty, eventually collapsed and struck me on the head, and caused an emergency room visit where I was diagnosed with a concussion. There have been many other issues with my unit that I will not list on this review since it will cause it to be too lengthy, but please feel free to direct message me for more information. Since I moved here July 17, 2020, I have had 15 different technicians enter my apartment a total of 27 times. Mind you, we are still in the midst of a pandemic (don't forget, I had to visit the hospital due to the negligence of management). Management will probably give a professional response saying: Please contact us with any issues you may have, etc. Trust that I have, and that my cries for help fall on deaf ears. Anyone seeking additional information about my experience can directly message me where I can give you a comprehensive overview of my 2.5 month stay. I am in the process of ending my lease early with management. Response to business owner reply: Are you implying the 20+ entries happened because I'm a problematic resident that can't be satisfied? everything you could want from a management team. they are flexible, responsive, kind, and always willing to try and work with you. Gianna Diamond is the GOAT; she is a total rock star. She has saved my behind so many times by being so responsive and we communicate directly instead of going through the email distribution that takes longer. Gianna is so good I would vote for her for mayor and would not be surprised if she is running her own property some day if she continues in this field. The manager,Frank, is always a nice and reasonable man. It is obvious he takes pride in what he does as he is always walking the grounds making sure things are in order and always available to stop and chat if there is an issue. Maintenance is always super responsive and they usually come within hours and replace and non functioning units instead of wasting time trying to fix them on the stop. read more

RENTERS BEWARE! As wonderful as it may be that the apartments are newly renovated, the apartments are actually being rented out although they are not completely moved in ready. The lease started on April 7, 2020, and as of April 14, 2020, we are still waiting for The Crossings At One to send someone out to repair the cable wiring in the attic above the apartment that was completely cut during renovation so Xfinity (Comcast) to activate service. Without these cable wires to the apartment, you won't have Cable, Wifi, or a Landline phone. An Xfinity (Comcast) cannot run wires or cable or repair the cable wires so you are basically at the mercy of Crossings. Although The Crossings At One advertises the apartments as cable/satellite ready this is not true. They will let you move in knowing that cable wire in the attic was not connected to all the apartments. We have complained about the problem on April 8, April 9, April 10, April 11, and April 13 and the building MANAGEMENT TEAM keeps referring to our inquiry into when the cable wire will be repaired as a REQUEST FOR SERVICE for an amenity that should have been available on move-in day. No apologies, no follow-ups, no acknowledgment that they dropped the ball when they gave a key to an apartment that was not ready, just an attitude as if they are doing us a favor by responding to our request. When they did call the conversation started off with "do you have any questions for us or our manager?" as if they don't know what the problem is. This is really a joke to the management team and I hope that Fieldstone Properties I LLC (property owners) finally connect the dots and start paying attention to the complaints online and start replacing some members in their management team. I don't know if they can't afford financially to have the contractor complete the wiring in the attic, but that is a Crossing problem and not a tenant problem. I would respect them more if they were just honest with the entire situation. The Leasing Agents who rent you the apartments are very nice and professional but it's Management you have to worry about, very unprofessional and at times disrespectful. Save your time and your money, with all the newer apartments in the surrounding area this old building with a facelift is not really worth the time or aggravation. read more

Wow what a great community!! We moved into the Crossing at One North on (covid) Halloween. Gianna Diamond, resident coordinator, oraganized an event for the kids with social distancing in mind. She and her crew made my  son  and all the kids so happy . He got to wear his costume,  had some picture taken ,  and got some treats.  Our favorite was the  FREE ICE CREAM TRUCK. These few months have been wonderful. Any service needs have been handled promptly and professionally.  The neighbors are welcoming. The pet friendly atmosphere is great and the  grounds are well cared for. The one Crossings at One North is a great community that we are happy to call home.  -Euniece read more

Renters BEWARE! Make sure you see the actual apartment you will be renting. I scheduled a tour to see an apartment and was shown a beautiful model apartment in pristine condition. At the time of my tour only model apartments were shown since tenants were still living in the actual apartments that would be rented out, which is completely understandable. A couple days before my move in date I requested to see the actual apartment. However, it still wasn't available for me to see. Now on my move in day I was given an apartment the complete opposite of what I was shown. The apartment was not even move in ready. When I voiced my complaints/concerns I was reassured everything would be taken care of, but that definitely wasn't the case. The leasing consultant made it clear that these issues was out of her scope of work and directed me to the person in charge of such affairs since I was now a tenant and no longer a prospective tenant. I reached out to this individual and was told they could get the apartment move in ready. At this point I just wanted to be transferred into an apartment like what I was shown. That's it! Now for this to happen I would have to pay a transfer fee and my rent would go up to the current market price. And, I'm still waiting for management/maintenance to make the apartment move in ready even though I'm already moved in. Make sure you see the actual apartment. This experience has been a complete nightmare to say the least. read more

If breaking a lease wasn't so expensive, I'd be gone. I do not review anything ever! I'm so easy going.. in fact I made a yelp account just for this. If I can save you the trouble, don't move here. Don't move here unless you want a cheaply done 'luxury' apartment that they don't maintain. I was in a bind looking for a place during covid before I buy a house, that's how I ended up here. The apartment I signed up for was a different layout than what I was initially shown but that ended up being whatever. (I had to creep outside a window to see my place) anyways moving in this place was fine. The hallways need some serious TLC, and despite renovations the apartments need work. Now let's get into the bad stuff. These apartment hallways and common areas are not maintained. My entry way is DISGUSTING right now (check out the pics), there's communal washers that I don't use but walk by.. there's been a huge puddle of water there for a solid 2 weeks (pics included). Oh and since I've moved in there's been about 1000 cigarette butts sitting right outside your building (also included) . While speaking of common spaces I had an issue today and if I don't have the appropriate response from management tomorrow, then I will add that into my review. Oh but don't worry, you have a very high likely hood of having your packages stolen or ripped into (if you don't send them to tulip drive lockers) because this building won't invest a small amount of money in lobby cameras. (Would be a nice safety addition for women) Moving to my apartment, my ceiling has leaked twice (pics included), my paint is lifting off the wall (pic included), my kitchen tiles are buckling and cracking and my floor is SO SQUEAKY! Oh and for the second time I don't have a working microwave. Also they have nobody to fix anything unless it is when you are at work during the week days... I don't know about you but I don't want a stranger in my home when I'm not here. If you work night shift expect to not park in front of your place. As a female it's pretty unsafe knowing there are 0 cameras on the property (they did recently put in more lights). Meanwhile there's a car on 4 flats with a 2017 registration sticker in the lot.. makes you wonder how many other abandoned cars are in the lot. Oh and let's get started on the workers they outsource. So apparently we're supposed to have grills set up.. not sure if they actually work after all this time, the workers left a ton of trash in the court yard. Also they'll park like jerks taking up multiple spots with their trucks that can fit in any normal spot. Recently I had to go to work and I had a work truck blocking me in.. with no driver. There were multiple open spots but he chose to pull his truck behind my car and just leave it there. I had to search around for him and was late for my meeting. I pay almost $2k a month for what? SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE DON'T MOVE HERE. I plan on spreading this word to every platform I can. Don't get suckered into "luxury" or the location. There are better deals out there (covid moving sucked). You will be happier in an apartment where it's clean, cute, you don't hear every word of your neighbors etc etc! You deserve better than an old apartment they throw some paint on and call luxury. Oh p.s. they've asked to do cockroach stuff in our apartment a couples times.. never seen one but obviously they aren't far away. read more

A week or so ago we got hit with what felt like more than 12 inches of snow. I've been here several years and don't recall ever having this much snow! What a task of coming out after the plows came and shoveling my car out. I wasn't happy with Mother Nature but hey what are you going to do! Thankfully, 3 men Dave, Ryan and John from the Maintenance department were out there clearing paths for us residents and saw me shoveling. Within minutes they took over shoveling for me and I was able to drive out! I'm so thankful they were out there and even more thankful that chivalry isn't gone! read more

Crossing at One - AVOID!!! Where do I even begin. I moved here in August 2019 for work and have had nothing but trouble with this company/property. First of all the apartments are nothing like you see on the website so don't be fooled. They are small with paper thin walls where you can hear everything in a 360degree area around you. I had one old air conditioner in the living room which sounded like a jet engine and nothing in the bedroom, so the hot summers were miserable. Around September my window was smashed with a large rock caused by landscapers on their lawnmowers. I was told by the property team "oh yeah that happens sometimes". Well thank god I wasn't sitting on my sofa, or home at the time because the rock dented the wall all the way to the other side of the apartment. To make matters worse it took over TWO, yes TWO months to repair the damage (pictures attached). When I moved out I found shards of glass all under the sofa which they assured me "they had their maintenance staff take care of". I moved out in July 2020 and STILL have not received my deposit. Despite NJ law § 46:8-21.1, requiring return of the deposit within 30 days. The office is MIA, does not respond to e-mails, phone calls, voicemails. I did finally receive a letter dated September 8th (38 days after move out) telling me a check would be sent within 30 days... I'm sorry but you have broken the LAW. Crossings has no problem telling its tenants that it will fine them if they are FIVE days late with their rent. Now I have to pursue action through the small claims court due to their inability to follow the law. Also please don't reply with a generic response advising me to contact the office for help - I HAVE DONE THIS FOR WEEKS Edit - It's hilarious how you responded to my review by asking me to contact the office when I have stated above nobody has answered the phone, or emails in WEEKS. I'm sure anyone reading this can see that you just write a generic response without actually reading the content... DO NOT RENT HERE!!! read more

Don't live here! You will pay as much rent as a mortgage and they promise all these amenities but they have zero security and people are constantly having packages stolen. Management is aware of the issue and tells you to send your packages to their "secure" mail center but half the time the carriers just leave the boxes on the floor instead of in the lockers and it's a loose-loose situation. If you want to feel comfortable in the community you live in it's not going to be here. First it's stealing then what's next? read more

It is pretty spacious, quiet, and the management team is nice and they plan cool events like pictures with Easter Bunny, food trucks and DJs for holidays like 4th of July and a Christmas door decorating contest. *Gianna Diamond* ESPECIALLY, has been so friendly and helpful and efficient with whatever our needs have been! This is the best apartment in the area - period. I found this place for my mother and she has loved it since Day 1! Not only is the place super accommodating and clean, but the major props go to the management. They're on top of everything from repair to minor maintenance that would normally be overlooked! Another thing to note is that the neighbors are very respectful and understand that there are "quiet" hours. They are very friendly and easy to get along with! Parking is more than plentiful. Since there are no assigned spots this may be a bit uncomfortable for those that are used to it but I promise you that there will always be parking available. Rent is always reminded to us so that we don't miss out payments and there is even a grace period! Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone that asks about it and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! read more

Also wanted me to sign a lease agreement without seeing the actual apartment. The only apartment that i viewed previously was the demo. They also refuse to refund all fees previously paid. My wife and I have been living here for 2 years and it has been a great experience.  The units are a great size and have been redone, so everything was brand new when we moved in. We had the 1BR with a den, so I turned the den into my home office and the addition of the counter space/ breakfast bar is extremely convenient. The location of this property can not be beat. You have access to virtually every highway that runs through the state, within 2-5 minutes of driving. 2 malls in between and loads of restaurants, gives you great options for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. I travel a lot for work and getting to Newark airport in 20 minutes, is game changing. The new club house is awesome and is cleaned/maintained every single day so it stays nice for whenever you'd like to bring guests to hang out. The same goes for the pool within the complex as well, which is very large and has plenty of space for family and friends.    The leasing agent was great and very transparent in making recommendations on choosing the right model for us. The management team is above and beyond amazing and that includes their staff as well. They come out to fix any issues the same day and are always pleasant to work with and are always very understanding. People don't appreciate how important this is when choosing a community to live in. They even have community events during the holidays, for all tenant adults, or kids of all ages.  Overall living at The Crossings At One has been a great experience and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great place to live in an extremely perfect location. read more

This is by far the best apartment that you can choose to live in this area, I live in a 1 bedroom apartment in building 16 since the crossing at one bought it 2 years ago, the maintenance service is just awesome!! I almost never had to call Then because a issue but when I did it they were here in less than at hour. They keep everything always very clean and the staff is way to friendly and their service is always with the best attitude. I love my neighbors they are very friendly as well and I never have problem because noise, this is a great place to call home, yo just have to pay your rent and don't worry about nothing else. The only bill that I pay is electric, and sometimes my bill is not bigger than $25 dollars! Always parking space available, never garbage on the floor, summer time we can do bbq! I even have my bbq in the huge back yard that we have. I celebrated my baby's first birthday there and it was beautiful. Jacky from the management office is very helpful when you have a question or you need any kind of help about the apartment. read more

Everything you see is a facade, outside is all fluff but inside is wretched, just HORRIBLE! My walk-through was great, then i moved in and it all went terribly bad. I asked the leasing agent if the walls were soundproof she lied and said "yes". Then I had to give my very young niece and nephews headphones while they were visiting and the neighbors decided to have sex (loudly). Thank god my family attempted to be grown-ups about it to make me feel less embarrassed. Laundry machines are either never working or when one machine works then people leave their clothes in the washers and dryers for hours even after it's complete. The hallways always have a funky odor like it's desperately in need of cleaning. In my apt they did such a botched job with the floors that they creaked everywhere (i'm average weight & height) and they were unevenly placed so I wore slippers throughout my entire lease to avoid a splinter. At night regardless of how many parking spots the complex have, you can never find parking (if you do... then it will be on a street far away from you). Also ensure you don't live below people who are heavy-set or have kids because the ramifications from those creaking floors and paper thin walls are excruciating. The plumbing is horrendous. The sewer was backing up in my kitchen sink and bathtub constantly regardless of how many service calls i put in to the building managers. By the way, "yes" i did request a transfer to another apt but they (the buildings managers) will use their scare tactics that you may move into another apt that has problems that are 2x times worst, or that the apts available are double the price. My personal experience of this place gets much worst from my ceiling collapsing to my apt flooding twice but i prefer to keep my review of this property very general to all the experiences i know for certain that you will encounter also. I highly do not recommend this place. I must say thank you to them because if i didn't experience all of this. I would not have bought my townhouse to actually embrace the proper standard of living. read more

So grateful to be living here during this pandemic!! With living in such a large property its so easy to just go out for a run around the complex or just in the courtyard & not get stir crazy being stuck inside. Everyone is out running or walking their dogs & no one is on top of each other or getting in each others way, so it was safe & easy to still practice social distancing!! --Also, a big thank you to Management for working with me during this tough time of such uncertainty. read more

Does it look too good to be true? It is. We've lived here since September. In that time, we've had several days where we couldn't even enter our apartment. But let's start at the beginning. The units they rent don't look like the units they show. On top of that, the air conditioning? It's two - if you're lucky, two - ancient units that leak. Took three visits from maintenance in our first month here because the unit in our living room was leaking so badly we couldn't use it. They solution? Wedge a piece of wood under it so it would leak out the window and pool there rather than inside, where it had already damaged the window sill and wall (those weren't fixed by the way). The next problem we noticed was that the windows in our "den" were installed backwards - we live on the ground floor and couldn't lock our windows. Took two visits to fix that issue. And once it got cold? The brand new windows are drafty as hell, but that's actually a relief, because you can't turn your heat off, ever. The thermostat doesn't matter - we had our windows open when it was 3 degrees last week because it was almost 90 in our apartment. Now let's get to the fun stuff. Like being kicked out of our apartment for 3 days, so they could dig up our floor, due to a plumbing blockage. I get that emergencies happen and can't be helped, but the way this was handled? What a nightmare. They told us one week to pack up our entire living room, furniture and all, and move it into the den and bedroom because they needed to dig up the floor. So we did. Then they decided they didn't have to do it, so we moved everything back. A week later, they changed their minds and decided that they did need to do it, and wanted us out with less than 24 hours notice. They booked us a tiny extended stay hotel room - with a large dog and cat in tow - and then...just didn't update us on anything. Told us we'd have access to the apartment, but literally dug up the living room so much we couldn't get inside. It took me posting on social media for them to finally answer me about how long it would take for us to get back into our apartment. When we finally did 3 days later, they left mud on the walls and ceiling and the floors will never be clean again, thanks to all of the dirt they pulled out from under it. And then the roaches started. I woke up around midnight one night, going to get a glass of water. I turned on a light in the kitchen - dozens of roaches, everywhere. So four days later, they finally get an exterminator there. Again, we have to empty a room in our apartment - the kitchen needed to be totally boxed up so they could "properly inspect." The "proper inspection?" The exterminator was in our apartment for 12 minutes, including treatment, and then gone. Not surprisingly, this didn't solve the problem. They told us to expect a follow up visit in a week, so here we are living out of boxes for another week - our kitchen can't be used and we can't keep food in it, so we're eating out and wasting money. And we also have to vacate the apartment while they're treating. Easy for people, not easy when you have a dog and cat. They came back today, so I had to pay to board my dog and cat today and call out of work so I could take them and pick them up. Another big loss of funds. We were told today to expect a third visit "in a week or two." So we're STILL living out of boxes and unable to use our kitchen. We don't know if we'll have to board our pets again yet - no one told us what to expect. Oh, and the second we were allowed back into the apartment? I spent the entire afternoon killing roaches that were still happily running around my kitchen, even after this second treatment today, AND the whole building being treated this week. So yes, the location is great. The prices are even good. But none of it is worth this nightmare. I can't sleep because of the bugs. We are hemorrhaging money by eating out and repeatedly having to board our pets. This is absolutely horrible. I really wish I could give less stars. My apartment was updated nicely and resembled the model. I lived on the 3rd Floor and though nice at first glance, it isn't a well kept property as a whole. The hallways smell awful in EVERY BUILDING like rotting curry. People do smoke in their apartments. Not kid or family friendly. Barely any areas dedicated to child play that are appealing. The club house never was finished in the whole year that I rented and paid an amenities fee for NO amenities. Honestly these units are WAY overpriced. They need to consider lowering their prices if it's not going to be a high end and well keep community. They charge luxury price for mediocre. One bedroom with den I rented should be no more than 1550 for the area and the poor schools. Try again FieldStone. Lower your rates.. because they don't match your property. read more

"Willing to resolve the issue" and "being processed as of Friday", pretty words for people who have done nothing. Not only have I not received my refund as promised but no one from corporate will speak to me. How long does it take to process a check? Because it's been 11 days and I know the standard is 2 days. As for "willing to resolve any issue YOU may have had", no the issue was the incompetence of the employees in this department who claimed to have passed an inspection of the apartment to have me walk in and find all the walls with holes to fix wiring that supposedly "passed inspection", which by the way I ALSO PAID FOR. As soon as I figure out how to post the video I have of the broken down apartment you gave me on the the promised move in day, I will. read more

Newly renovated apartment but they lie and upper management will not reply to any complaints. New apartment was was not like the model apartment. Maintenance is practically unresponsive and takes shortcuts. Once you sign up you are treated as a number. They constantly lie to you telling you things missing when you get the apartment will be replaced. Lie after lie. read more

So....... I'm just trying to figure out when the 'club house' is going to be done....... It's been 2 years now and we haven't seen NOT one actually progressive thing done.(besides it being built, we haven't heard anything in months and the last time they mentioned anything was in January) How can you say it's going to be done in October 2017 but it is now April 2019 and it's still sitting there with not a FINGER touching it. If by the time i move from this place and it's STILL not built, they better expect to be giving me back half of my amenity fee. It's ridiculous now!!!!! The only thing i use here is the pool and that's only opened for 3 months.... so please, Can we figure out a way that this "club house" can finally be finished. read more

The Crossing at One is a very nice place to live. The staff is very friendly and the apartment are very clean and roomy. I'm very glad I picked this complex to live. read more
