I had a great relationship with them when Dr.Howe was there. Then they let him go to a nerve disorder which was a shame because he was excellent and could have verbally trained some new staff. He was a WONDERFUL VET. Then I started noticing little things that irritated me yet they called me a difficult client. They had treated my two cats. One had diabetes and other issues. This one girl never got along with me from the get go. She had an attituede and apologized for it a couple times, but yet still marked me as a difficult client. Well it is supposed to be an animal hospital...I ask you does an Animal HOSPITAL, have a right to call it's business this when they won't treat pets after business hours even though they have the appropriate equipment to treat them. I had a problem ONE TIME when they decided to treat my fur baby on a SATURDAY. The TECH they sent in to meet me was exadtly that a TECH, not a vet, yet they decided she would be good enough. WRONG....and the charges were astronomical!!! Then one time that I was leaving there I saw the receptionist give this woman the remains of her deceased dog, and just say "HAVE A NICE DAY"..... She was crying. I followed her out to her truck and asked her if she was ok, then she really started crying, and told her it was ok and asked her dog's name. Then I sat there and listened to her tell me stories about him. The poor lady. They should have had someone walk the lady out and listened to her for a few minutes. I couldn't believe it. FINALLY WHAT IT CAME DOWN TO WAS: My KITTY was sick and it looked like she was throwing up blood, i called the clinic and the lady said if you bring her right in the vet can see her, and I told her it would be a few minutes, because i knew it would be hard to get her into her carrier because if she is sick she hides. The girl said as long as your here before noon...and "Oh yes, you will be charged for the visit as an emergency. I got to the clinic and called them and told them I was there, and then they told me I coudn't get in to see her now because we had already made an appt. for MONDAY. I said yes we did as a f/u to today. And you told me that I could get in if i got here before noon. She kept insisting that I could not get her seen. After all the money I spent there. Each visit no matter what it was always costs almost 200.00 and they don't even give out complimentary nail cutting. Dr. Howe used to do that. I mean this business spent millions revampin g the place then raised their rates. I had beeen a client for over 10 years and probabvly put millions into it. And to have this business treat me like my kitty and I didn't matter was just horrible. It makes me wonder if i SHOULD TRUST ANY BUSINESS THAT CATERS TO FUR BABIES IN A NICE ENVIRONMENT. THEY GO THRU STAFF LIKE THEY ARE " disposable goods." THE WHOLE PLACE IS A SCAM FOR MONEY NOW. I had the utmost respect for it when DR. BOUVERETTE they were the initial owners. I can't believe they still own it. Then the vet has the audacity to tell me my kitty is overweight AND IF YOU KNEW HER SHE IS DEFINITELY A HYPOCRITE!!! And her husband worked there. Matter of fact I became a client back when they were first opening and the office looked poorish and they had a space heater. Dr. Bouverette came into meet my kitty and got down on the floor with it, and was petting it and talking so nice then they started upgrading and there were no good vets that would spend five minutes with you and discuss your furbaby. they did a sanitary shave on my baby cuz she has a birth defect and cut her and then tried to downplay it. meanwhile she got an infection. I'm late posting this review. My dog had a comprehensive wellness exam and treatments by Crossroads on May 5th. Because she had been ill on May 1st, she did not receive annual shots on this visit. We were able to get a July 9th appointment for her shots. On the July visit we were AGAIN charged $80 for a comprehensive wellness exam. When I responded with feedback to Crossroads on dissatisfaction on having to pay for yet another comprehensive exam after just having one in May (2 months), we received a certified letter informing us that they would no longer be caring for my dog. I had already informed them during the feedback that we would be taking our dog elsewhere so the receipt of a CERTIFIFIED letter of their action in response to honest feedback was both a surprise and disappointment. I strongly do not recommend Crossroads Animal Hospital due to the owners actions. read more

Please get a second opinion before accepting any opinions from these Vets. Dr. Bouverette included, unfortunately. Dr Whitmer informed me without X-rays that my 3 yr old cat had stomatitis and all teeth must be pulled. When I asked Beth Bouverette for her opinion this is what she texted, "this is Dr. Bouverette. Sorry for the delayed response. I agree with Dr. Whitmer's diagnosis of stomatitis and I very much trust her years of dental experience. I've seen some amazing results from her oral surgeries in the 5 years that I've worked with her. Would you be interested in talking to another client/pet parent that's recently gone through oral surgery with their cat? ". Apparently Dr. B trusted Whitmer... I took Luna to Grass Lake Veterinary for an exam and I'm happy to say Luna had X-rays after her teeth cleaning and it was clear that she didn't have Stomatitis. Which Crossroads tried to convince me that she needed all teeth removed. So unfortunate, that many pet owners may have just trusted Dr. Whitmer and had their pets teeth removed, which was Whitmer's plan. No doubt she's good at it. My question is why? Luna didn't require any teeth removal and no longer carries a diagnosis of Stomatitis. read more

I think the adequan helped my dog Paula a lot. I saw a remarkable change in Paula who is 10 years old. But I wish I had taken the shots instead of Paula. Half way through the series she perked up. She dug a duplex under my garage and has been adding to it most days. Today she broke her collar at the state park. She took off for a swim at the beach, ran down two paths looking back at me to tell me to follow her. Then she ran two laps around the parking lot and went for another swim at the boat dock. Some people tried to help me get her with potato chips. But of course she doesn't like potato chips. She prefers thin sliced Provolone with lightly steamed carrots. I got the definite impression she came to the car only because she was ready to go home. I recommend the shots. I need some for me asap. See less read more

I really love this pet hospital. I had went to Gaide's for a long time and then Dr. Gaide retired and they completely changed his clinic. It left me looking for somewhere else. I just Googled around and found that this clinic was also near my home. I first took in my dog. She was adopted from the shelter and had recently turned one. I took her in for an exam and she needed no vaccines. However, her coat was falling out and it concerned me. I was given some fish oil which greatly helped her coat. I then decided to go ahead and transfer my kitties to this clinic. I brought in Safiyyah and it was a great appointment. All my concerns were addressed. The doctor was very kind and interested in my cat's health. She also recommended a great cat food. Everyone is friendly. I enjoy the atmosphere, even though they are currently renovating. They are very thorough with their exams and do great with communicating and helping you understand what's going on, concerning your pet. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to my friends and family. They truly treat your pet as if it is one of their own. I've never had a long wait there, either, not even when I brought my dog in without calling first. (it was an emergency visit) Although they had a full schedule, they still fit us in, in a very reasonable amount of time. I owe enormous thanks to Dr. Beth and the staff at Crossroads clinic. My regular vet had no openings at the last minute on a Saturday for my terminally ill cat, but by Providence, Crossroads had an opening. Dr. Beth and the staff were kind, caring, gentle, and thorough. Dr. Beth offered me hope for my cat through palliative care. When I brought it up, she also supported me in deciding it was time to humanely euthanize her. Through skill and compassion, my cat's death was peaceful. The staff gave me the time I needed alone with her, and stayed with me the remainder of the time. They anticipated my every need, and gave me choices throughout the whole process. They made a clay paw print keepsake, and placed her body in an "angel bag" for me to bring her home, which was what I wanted to do.
