This was a cute little cafe I wandered into while my kids were jumping over at the jump park. I really wanted a tasty drink rather than the kind of stuff available there, so I ordered the mango tea. It was lovely and refreshing. Also picked up a couple sugar cookies that my kids rated as "okay" compared to other structured frosted sugar cookies they've had. The inside was really cute and the food options seemed interesting. Did run a bit on the pricey side for a lunch menu/sandwich, so I opted to wait and see what the kids wanted after they were done at the park. Service seemed a little confused - they kept passing various orders/pieces back and forth between the three folks behind the counter. Maybe they were training? Anyway, if we're back up here next time I visit my sister, we might try it out after the jump-fest.

I got the Lexi which was great! The bread was warm and fresh, all the ingredients paired perfectly together. The reason is not 5 stars is the price - it ended up being a little over $13 w/tax, & it didn't come with a drink or chips. Therefore, this isn't something I would get on the regular. I also got one of the day old baked goods - it was one of their special chocolate chip cookies. It was really hard & dry, but can't complain too much since it was only a buck. Lastly, if you drive down the road- you can enjoy the Mountain views at the park!

Bf and I drove up for Halloween weekend/ ODU vs JMU game, and decided to grab breakfast before the drive back down to VB and this place was great! Super quiet, out of the way location, and so there wasn't a wait or long line at 11am on a Sunday morning. The menu offers lattes and smoothies, breakfast foods and lunch foods, so even if you're not wanting one you can get the other. Our food came out within 5 minutes of sitting down and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. There were like 5-6 baristas when we walked up to the register and they seemed knowledgable of their menu and offerings. They recommended their White Chocolate and Raspberry Cake over the Caramel Pound Cake since I was between both and it was so good. Loved the avocado toast, a very fresh and light meal that was filling for one person. The Loaded Logan was also very tasty, my bf demolished it quickly. The atmosphere was friendly, easy going, and just a good spot for chit chat with friends. You could come here to study but maybe not during busy rushes as it gets a little loud with everyone talking. Would love to be back here when we visit again- 10/10 experience!

So glad we visited this super cute cafe. It was a welcome departure from the touristy Massanutten dining spots. When we arrived, we were the only customers. We ordered 3 sandwiches, 2 smoothies, and 1 dessert to go. The young lady who took our order was also the one who prepared our smoothies. She was nice enough to prepare them without the yogurt so they would be dairy free. A lady brought our sandwiches from the back in a timely manner. Everything was prepared as requested. All of the food was good, with the vegetables tasting crisp and fresh. The cafe is a cute little spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It felt really good to support this small business. Pro-tip: They offer yummy gluten free rolls for those in need. They also offer a gluten free dessert, although they were sold out when we arrived.

Today for lunch I took a drive down 33 and discovered Crossroads Cafe & Catering. It is in an adorable shopping complex just off 33. Parking was ample and convenient. Upon entering the smell of freshly brewed coffee tickled my nose! Faint smells of freshly baked treats were also lingering in the air. I was promptly greeted and my order taken. I sat along the bar table along the front windows to enjoy my meal while basking in the sunshine of the crisp fall day. "The Benny" was superb; left me to reminisce on happy memories of Thanksgiving. I couldn't resist the Peanut Butter pie (which apparently is a local favorite and I quickly discovered why). Overall, I highly recommend this Cafe. Everything was delightful and I left with a full belly and happy. I'll definitely be adding it to my list of local establishments to support.

I wasn't blown away, but it's not a bad option. There are a lot of places closer to me that I enjoy more, so I wouldn't go out of my way to return. The Lexi sandwich had a nice balsamic glaze. Don't think I would get it again only because the mozzarella cheese wasn't fully melted. Overall, quiet environment so if you're looking to hang out somewhere low key, then I would recommend it.

This place is such a cute little spot on the outside of town. It's family owned and there is outside seating!! It's on the new mall strip at the corner of spotswood and Rockingham park. You have a great view of a nice field and the Massanutten mountain. They have a good options of breakfast items that are affordable and tasteful and a specialty menu for coffee and smoothies! The interior design of the establishment is very planned out. There is a nice contrast of white, black and green. There is a lot of plant life in the building that makes the inside feel spacious. There are even board games if you plan on staying for a longer visit. With it being a family owned business, the service is very nice and friendly and they make you feel extremely welcomed. If you're looking for a nice coffee shop to go to that isn't frequently visited by college students but still give a great assortment of options, I'd recommend coming to crossroads!

Right off 33 on the left coning from Harrisonburg.

I selected this company to cater my wedding, and it unfortunately was a disappointment. Throughout…read morethe process despite being explicit about our wishes, there were large errors on our wedding day. We requested to have chicken with a white wine/sage sauce, and instead on our wedding day it was just breaded chicken with no sauce. Similarly we requested salmon with their blackberry/bourbon glaze, and instead there was just baked salmon with no sauce. The food was additionally lukewarm, and those were our two main entrees, so that was extremely frustrating. With our charcuterie grazing board at cocktail hour, there were no crackers or crostinis present despite that being in the description and on our contract. We spent so much money and devotion on this aspect of our wedding day, only to have these issues occur and guests state their dislike of the food quality/taste. Communication with this vendor was overall frustrating as the owner would often check up/clarify decisions that have already been established, and the items that she hoped to confirm were often not accurate. Five days before our wedding, she had asked to confirm if we had one passed appetizer, when we had previously established the 3 items we wanted passed around. I also did not utilize their rental services for glassware/cutlery, and because of this they were not planning to supply anything for our cocktail hour despite having a stationary table and passed appetizers. If I did not inquire about it, they were not even going to provide us with cocktail napkins for the passed appetizers! I have been in contact with the vendor since and she was able to provide us with a partial refund (about 1/7 or 14% of what we paid), however this will not change my feelings or frustration present during my wedding day. I would not recommend using this company for wedding catering.

People went back for seconds and thirds and we still had plenty of food. We had food service only (no bussing tables) and our servers did a great job setting up and keep food replenished. The presentation was professional. They did a great job adjusting to the evolving schedule of the event. We would happily hire Early Katering again.

But he put all of our worries to rest. We planned a Mexican feast and that's exactly what we got! We couldn't travel with much for the banquet so we had LFA catering do it all. Food, wines, beers, very nice disposable plates and tableware. Him and his staff were wonderful and polite very professional! We were very pleased with everything and if we were to it again Jason and LFA would be my first call. Thank you very much. We had many compliments on the food.

We hired LFA Catering LLC for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and unfortunately, the…read moreexperience was extremely disappointing. Rehearsal Dinner The first signs of trouble appeared here. Despite our wedding planner reaching out hours before the event, Jason (the owner) never responded. He was responsible for providing tables and chairs for 40 guests but brought enough for less than a third. While the food was acceptable, it did not match the quality we experienced during our tasting. Wedding Day Our wedding had about 135 guests; per the contract, the catering team was supposed to arrive 3 hours early to assist with setup, food prep, and drinks. Instead, most staff and food arrived late and during the ceremony. Jason was not on-site and could not be reached until well after the event began. The bartenders arrived on time but with no direction and without mixers (also part of the contract), forcing our planner to purchase them out of pocket. Luckily we provided the alcohol so we at least had beer and wine. Because of their late arrival and lack of organization, we had to delay happy hour, dinner, and the reception. When food was finally served, many agreed-upon dishes were missing, including gluten-free options for guests with dietary restrictions. Portions were inconsistent, and they ultimately ran out of food, leaving 20+ guests--including our band and planner--without dinner. Jason did not arrive until after 8 PM (seven hours late) and offered no apology or solution to running out of food. After the Event The team was contracted to handle cleanup, breakdown and trash removal, but this was minimally worked on. Our planner stayed until midnight to clean what she could, after Jason and his staff had left. The next day, my wife, several guests and I spent the whole morning finishing what Jason hadn't done. Afterwards, while my wife and I are trying to enjoy our honeymoon and recover from the disaster he created with our wedding, he harassed my wife about getting all of the items he had left at the venue (we had to take them and store them in our trailer so we didn't get charged by the venue). He didn't have the decency to communicate during the wedding or make efforts to correct his mistakes, but he sure could call and text us non-stop when it was impacting his pocket book. You might wonder if there were warning signs. Honestly, there weren't--until the rehearsal dinner. Leading up to the wedding, Jason was responsive and helpful. He provided a wonderful tasting, he even met us a couple months in advance to walk venue and discuss our needs and coordinate with our wedding planner. He even worked with us to design a menu that accommodated multiple dietary restrictions. He seemed professional and committed. However, on the day of, he was overcommitted and underperformed. The food quality was nowhere near what we had at the tasting. It seemed either Jason didn't prepare the food himself (the head chef onsite was not Jason) or he cannot scale his recipes. Most dishes were bland, poorly cooked, or inedible. Jason may be a fine chef, but he is not a caterer. Something though that really defines who Jason and LFA Catering is, not once, to this day have we received an apology for everything that happened. In fact, during any conversation, with us or anyone else involved, he has only made excuses and tried to defend his actions saying he did the best he could. I'm sorry, but if that's the attitude you plan to have, I could not in good conscious recommend him to anyone for any catering needs. After reading another review where he no called and no showed, I feel lucky we at least received some food and services. I truly feel for those people. I hope whoever has spent the time to read this and their review, learn from our mistakes and stay as far away as possible from this company.
