I loved the concept, and everything came together perfectly good food, good vibes, and good times. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. After you finally order you get to try and find one of their dirty tables to sit at then wait way too long for terrible food. The food could not be more terrible, this is what they call biscuits and gravy and it tasted as bad as it looks, I think the best way to describe the color of the gravy is orange, which is weird. I had one bite of the biscuit and gravy and it was so bad that the stray cat that jumped on our table did not even want it, but it could have also been because of all the flies because the little fly fan at our table did not work but it also might have been from the constant smell from the sewer drain located right in the seating area. My wife had a chicken bagel egg sandwich- not good....all our food went in the trash. This is not a restaurant it is a disaster, do not believe the positive reviews.

The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I was also very impressed that they prepared the gluten-free sandwiches in separate containers from the rest of the order. That extra level of care really stood out. I highly recommend Old Moon Deli for anything from a single sandwich to catering for 30 people. They're great.

My boyfriend got their sandwich that was similar to an Italian sub, which comes with the olive spread on it. He liked his sandwich, but felt the olive spread was overwhelming and scraped most of it off. He later said that had there been less of it on the sandwich it probably would've been better for him. My stomach was a little upset, so I was looking for something milder. So I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich off of the kids menu. Maybe it's just me, but a grilled cheese sandwich is American cheese on white bread, grilled. Here, apparently children eat cheddar and Swiss on a grilled roll. I asked to hold the Swiss, and went with straight cheddar as American was not an option. It was OK, but nothing to write home about in my opinion. Apparently this is a popular spot, as the tables were full both before we arrived and after we left, but unfortunately, we did not have an overwhelmingly positive experience.

I eat here on a regular basis, Spike makes an amazing margarita with fresh squeezed juice. The pirate rolls, wings, Pad Thai with Grilled Pork (I prefer level 3 spicy because habenero keeps me humble), Banh Mi Sandwich and Vermicelli bowls are all on regular rotation. See you at the bar-but not on Tuesday, because they are closed.

The pho was freshly made and the Bahn mi was delish. The bar "cannon balls" were obviously from frozen. I can accept it his but was disappointed with the price for something they just warm up. The pricing was a sticking point. I can accept that venues on the seawall need to cover more costs, but this quality didn't match the charge. Finally, the building in general just felt off. The layout was odd. All high seating (bar stools) makes it difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The theming is thorough, going with the pirate motif, however they also just phoned it in for most of it. The tabletops are screwed into the barrels beneath, with the exposed heads sticking above the table top. The sparse decorations placed inside are mostly from a Halloween store or Pirates of Caribbean props.

I ordered Steak and Eggs and my wife ordered the Crabmeat Omelette. My Steak and Eggs were very good. The steak was a perfect medium rare. The eggs were over medium to a T, simply amazing. The breakfast potatoes were soft yet firm with delicious little crispy bits hidden throughout. My wife's Crabmeat Omelette was good. The crabmeat wasn't overly fishy and the omelette was fluffy. It just needed something extra to take it over the top, like fresh green onions or chives. This place was great. Everything from the service, the food and the atmosphere was above and beyond. I am definitely coming back and trying everything.

The waffle was good and fluffy--not too thick or too thin. The scrambled eggs were slightly overcooked but still tasty, and the bacon had the perfect amount of flavor and crispness. I wasn't a fan of the vanilla latte, as it was much too sweet for my taste, and the regular coffee was just okay--it lacked the bold flavor or kick I was hoping for. Others at my table ordered the steak and eggs and the migas, and both cleaned their plates, which is always a good sign. Overall, it was a nice breakfast spot with plenty of menu items I'd like to try, and I'd definitely go back.
