They're known for their cocktails which are $6 between 5 & 8. The wine pairs nicely with the shareable charcuterie board, definitely worth it. And of you drink beer they have that too. They sell soups and salads, sandwiches, and breakfast that they serve from 9-3. We ordered the breakfast bowl and breakfast plate. They were both pretty good. The touch of microgreens on top of my bowl was a pleasant surprise. I love microgreens and they were fresh. Burger don't start til 6 pm but you can order with your drink to be queued up. I was hesitant to get the tots because last time they weren't cooked enough but my friends were cooked way better this time. I opted for the safe route and got chips. Order at the bar and they'll give you a buzzer to come back for your food. Drinks are made to order nd receive when you order. All these years, I had no idea that Marmo carried a cafe title to its name. I've walked past their elegant exterior countless times and assumed they were solely an upscale cocktail bar. Their participation in serving free drinks during Galveston's annual Art Walk only reinforced that belief for me. I recently DoorDashed on a busy interview day since I needed a semi-healthy option and had a gift card. Their menu is in fact, not crappy bar food in the slightest. The air fried chicken sandwich checks all the boxes needed for a 5 star rating. It's big, fairly priced ($12 if ordering directly from the restaurant), and contains a grocery list of ingredients (aioli, basil pesto, mozzarella, etc) that turn the sandwich into a complex array of savory freshness. I also ordered their breakfast taco; it doesn't stand out in any spectacular way, but it only costs a measly $1.50 (extra if adding meat or avocado) for a gigantic portion. I regret not finding out about this place sooner. Given how luxurious Marmo looks on the outside, you'd likely assume that whatever they're serving is too rich for your blood on a mundane weekday afternoon. However, their menu proves quite the contrary and deserves a glance if you're passing by. read more

MarMo is an interesting place and it's only open 3 hours a day from 9am-12pm so it can be tough to visit! However it was perfect for us, having just disembarked a cruise ship and needing a place to hang out before our late flight from Houston. The bartender was very friendly and gave us some recommendations on what to do in the area. Food looked amazing although we only had some drinks and coffees. My mimosa was also STRONG! Menu is small with plenty of options s for us. Breakfast tacos served with salsa and the avocado toast (add egg) were delicious. Very Reasonable prices for tourist city. Order and pay at the bar. We were immediately greeted and server was friendly and helpful when ordering. Very nice relaxed laid back vibe in the morning. It's like Cheers Everyone knows the Locals here. MarMo Cafe & Lounge is a beautiful drinking new drinking establishment in Galveston. This bar brings more of an elegant cocktail bar vibe to the strand that you cannot find at many other bars. Because Yelp decided to delete my last review of this place, I will be reassessing my review of MarMo today. Previously, I visited during the holidays, where the venue was decorated beautifully with lights and wrapping paper. Today, it's less of a spectacular view, but still very relaxed and intimate. The interior has nice floral wallpaper and a beautiful feathery mural. The outside patio is also very inviting, with fire pits and gazebos to lounge under. They also have a pretty sick waterfall and modern art sculptures throughout the patio. It's quite the immersive experience, even without the holiday decorations. The service can be a bit slow, but the cocktails are mixed perfectly and presented with class by the colorfully-dressed mixologists. I did have to wait in line for about 15 minutes today, and once I ordered my drink took another 3 or so minutes to get made. However, my espresso martini I ordered was delicious and the presentation was spectacular. It was a dark and bitter flavor with a slight sweetness in the background. It was served with 3 coffee beans placed in the middle, in the classic espresso martini style. It was the perfect drink to start my night! Overall, MarMo is a great new addition to the Galveston nightlife. I am disappointed that my last review was deleted because I can't remember exactly what I experienced here originally, but I'm sure it was just as good, if not better. I'm giving MarMo 16/20 Freys, losing points mostly based off of service time. FREY OUT! read more

Damn fine cocktails, friendly service, great vibe, and so close to my home. Shockingly, I am not a barfly here... But I could be! The food is definitely not shabby either. My first dish here was the ubiquitous avocado toast, but theirs is over the top good. Barbecued jackfruit pizza for the vegetarian in your group is so tasty that the meaty people will like it. There's also a tomato basil soup with grilled cheese that will take you back to a childhood you probably never had. Final thought: so worth it! read more

Ordered here for lunch one day and I really enjoyed my sandwich. I ordered the chicken sandwich but substituted the meat for eggplant. My only complaint is that the breading on the fried eggplant was a little too soft and the vinaigrette that was on the sandwich made it soggy. I will ask for it on the side next time. I like that this restaurant offers meatless options and the prices are very reasonable. My sandwich with chips was about $13 while other places in the area charge almost $20 for the same thing. Stopped by after dinner and was treating to an amazing fire place on a slightly chilly day. The happy hour goes nice and late which is perfect for an a post dinner drink. We really wanted to get some food, but we were just too full from dinner, so we ordered a gimlet and an old fashioned. I was a little bit put off by having multiple ice cubes in my old fashioned, instead of one big ice cube. However, both drinks were made well and tasted delicious. There was a guy at the bar practically yelling while talking so we went outside. Ordered two drinks, and the charcuterie board. Drinks were not great, old fashioned was super syrupy. Charcuterie board had one slice of toasted bread and several piles of meat, a few slices pickles and mustard. Super disappointed in a 20 board with one slice of white toast. The best part though was having these massive wood roaches crawl on every seat and table. Several were on empty drinks that were left outside. I don't get the hype at all. read more
