On my way back home, I stopped by Shah's Halal Food Lowell for takeout. I placed my online pickup order through DoorDash since I had credits. I ordered the Beef Chapli & Chips Platter ($11.99 plus tax) and Assorted Baklava ($3.49 plus tax). My online order was all set to go in about 13 minutes. The platter had soft seasoned ground beef kabobs, thin pakora chips, served over soft basmati rice and a mix green salad with creamy white sauce plus the optional hot sauces too. The platter had good savory and spicy flavors. The prepackaged assorted baklava was a good sweet treat for the after meal. I would definitely stop by again for more Halal takeout. We made two meals and one an individual sub. The total cost was just under $45. I was genuinely surprised by how much it cost. What equally surprised me was the amount and quality of the meats. It seems sparser than what I remember and not the same quality. The roll, dare I say it, was very subway like. It didn't seem completely done. I was disappointed.
