Just wanted to thank Lonnie (sp?) for being so hospitable to my family and I, allowing us a tour of the whole cafe as well as my former childhood home. It's been probably 15 yrs or more since I came back to my home town and wasn't expecting such service to a total stranger. I remembered some things about my dad's store incorrectly until after we were on our way back to Phoenix. Looks like they did a great job turning it into a cozy cafe from a small convenience store. That building has been there for more than 50 yrs. Next time we're in town, we'll be sure to dine here. Thanks for helping bring back some childhood memories. :) read more

I was excited that they have a gluten free menu. I ordered sirloin with mashed potatoes and tomatoes off of the gluten free menu. My husband ordered the steak burger, medium well with Cole slaw and fruit. My steak was decent but the potatoes were instant and I'm not confident that the ingredients support a gluten free meal so I didn't eat more than a couple of bites. My husbands steak burger was pretty much raw. It was bleeding all over the plate. I tasted it and it was clear that it truly wasn't cooked. The waitress was not really engaged. Another employee came to pick up the plates, my husband's steak burger had barely been touched but he didn't bother to ask if there was an issue. Eventually the waitress walked by and dropped the check. My husband had to stop her to ask whether we were to pay her or upfront. I get that she could be having a rough day, but her demeanor screams that she has no interest in serving. The place was super busy but we won't go again. Not a great experience. Carpet could use some cleaning too. read more

I had a mediocre experience with Crossroad's phone didn't order and picked it up the sandwich was just plain and very average however I did suffer from a stomach ache the entire night afterwards I will revisit them again as I do here for many locals they are quite good just a heads up be careful of what you order. read more

Not bad for a quick breakfast before heading home. Got the Quickie- it's a pancake, bacon or sausage, and egg. Pancake was pretty huge, actually ended up sharing it with a buddy. Most of the fellow Californians who came for the paddling race on the Colorado the weekend we were here in Parker ended up eating here too before we went home. Put in a togo order for breakfast burritos. 2 breakfast burritos came out to $10.16 which was amazing since I'm used to paying that for 1 breakfast burrito. I got an egg & cheese burrito add avo while my bf got the same but with sausage instead. Burritos were super good and a great value. There isn't many options for breakfast in Parker so I stopped at crossroads for a quick meal. I ordered the basic comfort food eggs, bacon, pancakes and enjoyed the meal. The service was fast and friendly and I didn't have to wait for a seat sitting at the breakfast bar. I eat breakfast here every time I visit Parker! I went with a group of 7 and was seated right away. I ordered the chicken fried steak with 2 over medium eggs, country potatoes, and gravy. The steak was huge and very filling and delicious! Here's a tip: instead of ordering toast with your CFS and eggs, get a biscuit... You can dip your biscuit into the gravy for an included biscuits and gravy side. The wait to get our food took awhile, but I think it's because we had a large group. This place came highly recommended to us by friends and family. We went on a Sunday during "brunch" hours. The staff greeting us was friendly, but our server's attitude could have been a little more upbeat. I ordered the fried egg, bacon & cheese sandwich. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed that it was cold. Upon biting into the sandwich, I realized it was EXTREMELY dry and way over toasted. It was like eating a large flat crouton (so much so, I choked on it because it was so dry). The sandwich had nothing on it, no butter, mayo, etc., so it made the already dry sandwich worse. The home potatoes were also dry (or old), but had good flavor on the ones I could eat. Our friends that were with us had the same sandwich and it was the same way, unfortunately. Bathrooms are some of the worst I have seen and I often stop at random greasy spoons.staff was nice.water was undrinkable.food average. It is also a great place to come if you like sausage, as their spicy sausage is pretty amazing. The service here is terrible. We stopped because there were many cars in the parking lot. Later it became obvious they were all still waiting for their food. When I asked the waitress how big the blueberry pancakes were, she said they were the same size as the regular pancakes. Really. Helpful. She then amended her response to say they were "plate-size". In my experience, plate-size means they are as large as a plate. Not even close. We waited and waited after ordering and were seriously considering walking out. The waitress finally came over and told us our order was the next one up. We still considered walking out, but she finally brought the food. My grandson's pancakes were so tough it was difficult to cut them with a knife. "Butter" is not really margarine. We will not stop here again. read more

If ever visiting Parker AZ Crossroads is a must. After the bad experience we had at one restaurant that I will review later,not only was the food excellent the service and people were very nice. When we pulled up the parki g lot was crowded (good sign). Inside the place was busy. I read the chicken fried steak Is to die for but I had an omlette with some awesome home fries My girlfriend had a chili cheese omlette with grits. Yummy!!! The coffe was great and it just kept flowing until we said we had enough. I was up Parker way and after looking into places for breakfast, this is where I ended up. The place was really busy on a Saturday morning and we waited for about 10 minutes to get a table. The place was really hoppin' and there was a lot going on. Seemed that locals, tourists, and all sorts of people were in for breakfast this morning. The food was pretty standard, not very special. I really wanted a cinnamon roll, but they had just run out. They looked really good! Service was friendly, but a bit inattentive... seemed that the servers were a bit flustered with it being so busy. Overall, the food was just meh, and the service took forever even though it was very nice. A-OK is what I'm going with. If in town, don't fret to drop in, but there might be a better place nearby for chow. read more

Another review where I wish I had half stars. It's a 3.5er folks. The service was friendly, however we did visit towards the end of the day (not last minute, but towards closing hour) and I felt somewhat rushed. Not bad, especially when people came in to be seated after we had our food. Here is the thing. If you close at a time, unless you post a notice saying no orders for sit down after x time, then you are happily open for business. Sure I get it. You want to go home, but someone is paying for a meal and your wages/tips. We both had the chicken fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns. Chicken fried steak had what skated to be a magical coating on it. Crispy perfection. However the meat was tougher than most chicken fried steaks ive had, which somewhat killed that.The gravy also lacked something in the flavor department. Not the worst, not the best. I ordered my potatoes extra crispy, which they were sub standard on that. However the eggs were awesome. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful yolks. They have a pretty extensive menu here ,i stopped in for breakfast before heading out on the River. I was happy that the waitress listened to my request for eggs sunny side up easy, and thats the way I got them. Their prices are fair, the staff is prompt but they do get busy on the weekends. This is probably one of the better places in Parker to eat besides the Early bird just down the street. Everyone was friendly. Super homey. No one wears uniforms or aprons. Looks like a regular, but old, cafe. It looked like there were mostly locals there. Nice atmosphere... everyone is in their own world enjoying the mostly large portions. We ordered the crossroads sandwich (i think that's what it's called), potato salad, a Belgium waffle with strawberries and whipped cream a la carte, and another with the combo of 2 sausages and 2 eggs. We also ordered the 16 oz ham breakfast and a pork chop breakfast. Both came with eggs, sausage (or bacon) and one came with hash browns. Oh yeah we got biscuits and gravy too. That and 4 drinks and a slice of apple pie. It came out to $60 for 4 people who happened to order a whole lot of food! Not tooooo bad. The waitress, Tina, was nice and gave us lots of suggestions. The food was ok too. The waffle was pretty standard. Tastes and looks similar to IHOP. Maybe thicker though. The sandwich was good. The pepper jack was very strong which was a good thing. The potato salad was a bit bland but in a good way. The pork chops were a tad over cooked and so was the ham. Both were a bit dry but edible with good flavor. I can't speak for the eggs or sausage or apple pie. The hashbrowns were standard like Denny's. The biscuits and gravy was... different. Not what I'm used to. The gravy was a strange consistency and had a bit of a sweet taste to it. My first bite was "that was weird" but I ended up liking it! I had the same experience with the choc chip cookie (bought while walking out). The first bite was "what is that taste??" and then I thought it was good. Both were different and strange, but good. Based on the above information I would give this place 4 stars. Here's why I can't! The bathroom is DISGUSTING. They have double doors on the stall that you lock with one of the chain locks seen in apartments. The ones where you can open the door a bit and talk to the person through about 5 inches. Ok so because of that, pushing in or out allows someone to see in with about 3 inches of space. They don't know you're in there and are naturally going to push or pull on the door, at which point your cha cha is out for everyone to see. Seriously idiotic idea. The sink was super duper disgusting. I remember going down the hall way and seeing the decor and thinking it looked more like the hallways/eating areas of mechanics or Home Depot. It had me wondering what their kitchen cleanliness was like. I'd go back because it's decent and there's not too many places to sit down and eat over there.
