I mentioned I had been paying $75 and they acted as if they hadn't had $75 bales in months. I really don't appreciate any businesses conducting transactions this way. I can completely understand costs increase for x,y, or z reasons. But don't act like I'm crazy because your business isn't honoring your pricing. Found the receipt from the first bale I purchased at $75 4wks ago and found the facebook post as well. I will take the small amount of my business elsewhere. My first…read morebaby succulents were adopted from Walmart and Lowe's so this was the first time venturing out to a plant nursery. As always, I conferred with Yelp and decided on Calvert's. The first thing I noticed was how charming it looked from the road. We turned into the nursery and down a path full of gorgeous ceramic plant pots of all sizes and colours. Parking was ample and convenient. As we entered the green house we were greeted by a friendly "hello". My eyes lit up at all the pretty decorations, plants, and flowers as I scanned for succulents. All their plants look well cared for. Green and luscious. Healthy. There were many succulent varieties and I felt like a kid in a candy shop. As I'm fairly new to the hobby (been at it for just a month) I wanted baby succulents as I love to feel accomplished tending to them and seeing them grow. They had many 4-inch pot plants but very few 2-inchers. Still, I managed to find a baby bear's paw and cobweb plant I wanted. We went up to pay and the staff/cashiers were happy and friendly. Such a nice atmosphere! It must be so calming and pleasant to be among plants and flowers everyday for them I'm definitely coming back to check out their succulents again.

We hadn't been before, but we were in mind to try something different for a date night. As the weather was expected to be in the 40s temp., we donned our plaid shirt jackets, gloves, caps, etc. we took a large heavy blanket and some old fashioned thermos bottles full of decaf coffee. Once there, we felt like we stepped into quite an experience. The movie was showing and there were nice rows and rows of camping chairs full of people intently watching. (We arrived a few minutes late). What was strange is that it was eerily quiet! We found a place to spread our blanket and then settled in to watch. We laughed out loud at all the many parts that were so funny, however no one else laughed! How could this be?!? It was so silent. If it wasn't so cold you would have heard crickets! We continued to laugh, trying not to break the spell everyone was under. During the movie, we grabbed two sandwiches and two waters from the food truck.. Almost $25! They were okay, but too high for the quality. Also, we were very excited about having a hot piece of pie and sipping coffee. This food truck only served cold, cream pies. While very good, not ideal for this outdoor weather. The tree farm had a large fire pit. If you needed to warm a bit. Overall, we had a great time sitting outdoors, laughing (albeit alone and surrounded by ghostly figures wrapped in blankets all slumped in chairs), and sipping coffee while watching a great Christmas classic. The event was extremely well organized. Thank you to the Wells family for making this possible. We would definitely recommend, and perhaps make this a new tradition! We'll bring friends next time! The girl…read morehelping me said they could do a certain type of plant (I can't remember what she called it), but with the kind of flowers they put in it, they would have water tubes and only last about 8 hours. Since this was to be the delivered the day before the funeral I told her I didn't want that kind and wanted something that would last longer. I spent $102 total and got an ugly, plain plant with the $20 crystal cross that I requested stuck on the dirt and pushed against the plant. The plant was so plain that I was ashamed of it and apologized to the family. I have used this florist multiple times in the past and have always been thrilled. This order was a complete disappointment. Next time I will make sure we are both on the same page.
