I mean like a Barnes & Noble kitchen with sandwiches, burgers, pastas and even ribs - with separate seating and everything. The inside is massive, but organized and well stocked. I liked seeing the big book displays and the different sections they created. The kids area was also really nice and welcoming. While we didn't check out the cafe as we had just eaten lunch, we did buy a few books for our daughter. We could have spent hours here, but sadly we had to drive home. Staff were very friendly and helpful! You could always find at least one employee walking around in each section which I really liked. Overall, this is an amazing location! I highly suggest stopping in if you're in the area - buy a book and grab some lunch! Can't wait to come back next time we are in Folsom!

Staff is always helpful. Parking is probably the biggest challenge to no fault of B&N. Books are at msrp unless you pay for the b&n annual club membership which can save you a discount if you buy enough books here to offset. People will always ask why not just get it on amazon for cheaper but I still like to go and support these bookstores and find stories and books vs look online..maybe it's the old fashion treasure hunting and flipping through book summaries and covers that we find intriguing ...to past time by...but it's something I enjoy doing with my sons and that in itself as rare as it is...is worth it to me!

i came here on a whim. i'm from nevada. i saw nevada section that had a book with the UNR mackay…read morestatue, i took a picture with the book. the man behind the counter told me that "can i help you find anything" i said "no, im just looking" he said "this isn't a library the books, aren't to be played with" immediately put a bad taste in my mouth. i was taking a photo with the book, i was very interested in buying books but i immediately left. when i first came in i said "i could spend all day inside" and he had a bad attitude. i have never had a bad experience at a used book store. whatever you do don't come here. go to the library because at least they will give you better service then the one i had here. i'm going to address the remarks the owner made. it seems you barley remember me as a customer because when you said "When you first came in, I greeted you in a friendly manner welcoming you to the store" you never greeted us when we came in. we were only asked what we were looking for after i had been in the store for 20 minutes. bad customer service. if you genuinely wanted us to buy something you would be attentive and greeting every customer upon entering. "I perceived this as you playing with my books for entertainment or social media purposes, as I see far too often in my shop." so you're just assuming i wouldnt buy anything??? like you said i was bouncing around excited. i hadn't even seen all there was to see! you assumed i wasn't going to buy anything based off the fact that i wasn't looking at everything??? " Unfortunately, when I see someone taking selfies with books in my shop, the vast majority of the time they do not buy anything, now or ever." it wasn't a selfie... i was taking a picture with the back because i went to UNR and graduated there. when i went to half price books and they had a book from traner middle school no one came up to me to pressure me into purchasing something. "Some books only get a little more oil from the fingers, or slightly more thumbed pages. Others get ruined as they get dropped or crammed carelessly onto the shelf" notice how when you were disrespectful i didn't cram it back on the shelf i put it nicely back on the shelf but you don't want to include that in your response. unfortunately you don't understand the risks with running a bookstore because if you did you'd realized that books get handled and touched. if you're so worried put it behind a glass case so they don't get grabbed... you can't police every person who touches your books. i DID have a desire to purchase from your used bookstore however your attitude turned me away along with multiple other customers who wrote a review just like mine. "Please come with a genuine intention, respecting the books I have worked so hard on and invested so much in to provide them for you to browse" again with the assuming i won't buy anything that is disrespectful. i buy books from all types of stores. i just went to have price books and the money could've spent at your establishment went to someone else. i had intentions of buying from you but genuinely your rude attitude and your rotten response to my review really makes me never want to recommend this business to anyone. you profiled us is what you did. you used personal characteristics i had such as " Unfortunately, when I see someone taking selfies with books in my shop, the vast majority of the time they do not buy anything, now or ever", which you used to predict our behavior. next time put a sign saying if you're not going to buy anything don't come in! anyone looking to buy books in auburn please drive literally anywhere else! if i had known you conduct buisness i would've never step foot inside. support business who support you. some suggestions: grass root books, reno nv 1hr 40mins thistle & nightshade, reno nv 1hr 32mins half price books, citrus heights ca 31mins time tested books, sac ca 45 mins underground books sac, ca 2hrs 54mins

The store has two floors packed with books, so there's always another shelf to check out. It's also in a really cute part of downtown Auburn, which makes it an easy stop if you're spending the day there. I love supporting independent bookstores, and this one is definitely worth popping into if you're in the area.

How have I never reviewed A Seat at the Table??…read more This is such a lovely cornerstone for community gatherings. They do interesting events like crafting, story time, open mic, etc. They have tons of books and knick knacks and the food and drinks are pretty good. They even have a community pantry to help food insecure families. For those with younger kids, there's a small play area with a cute winnebago. We plan on coming every weekend to do homework here. Please support your local bookstore!

They have one little table out in front that was *very* convenient for my situation, but when you walk in, it's a full community third space! Plenty of tables and chairs. There was a mix group of people from children to teens and adults and everyone seemed to be enjoying their time! For a small bookshop, their selection of books is great!! They have a variety of genres and I even spotted a ton of my favorite authors. Next time I come by, I'm definitely trying their cafe!
