Trustworthiness is NOT a word I would use to describe this company. Time and time again they have found ways of nickel and diming me with a sub standard facility. After agreeing to move to a smaller storage locker, my rent was increased more than three times the original amount in less than three years. All while homeless people hang out in the facility and water damage destroyed some of my merchandise in the previous locker. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere. I just chalked it up to old man stuff; who gets excited by storage? Well fast forward to today and now I'm an older man and let me tell you, service matters. Art was the first person to help me; he was so polite, helpful, and best of all, NOT PUSHY! He showed me all three units they had, and at the end I mentioned I was going to check out public storage, a competitor down the street. Art smiled and said I should def check them out, because it would mean I would be coming back to him. Boy was he right; I went, checked it out, and came running back the next day asking if Art still had space left for me Nate helped me with my paperwork, payment; etc etc, and like Art; wasn't pushy and ultra polite. My move in date was a week away, so he recommended we put a hold on the spot I wanted, and when I was ready, to call him up A week later, I called up the shop and they were able to not only rent me to unit; BUT offer a moving truck to help me move, free of charge! David drove the truck to my place, got the ramp down for us and when we were done, drove the truck back for us to offload. After using AAA Self Storage without too many issues for over two years, I finally got fed up and…read moreleft. They could've had a 20 year customer, as I have a storage trailer that I've stored long-term for many years. Instead, the manager, Ralph, who's always on a power trip felt it was OK to charge me a late fee, even though I had paid a year ahead of time two years in a row. They tried to scam me. I'm not sure if they do this with other customers where they don't send out a late notice, even though they specify that they do, and then just charge a late fee. Since I had not received payment due notification, I didn't realize it was time to pay up again which normally I do pay a full year right upfront. Of course, I received the late notice, but never received the email saying that my year of payment has ended and that it's time to pay again so in other words, I never received an invoice of payment due, only a late fee. It happened two years in a row, and after pointing this out to Ralph, the so-called "manager". He just was belligerent and said "oh we definitely sent out the payment due email and text message", both of which I never received and I showed him on my phone texts and email that I never did. He refused to remove the late fee, so I moved out, and now have done a one year upfront payment with another place down the street. I highly recommend that you do not use AAA Self Storage while Ralph is still the manager there and until they fix their late fee scam that they apparently have going on. They have no business sense. My next-door neighbor just got a storage facility for his three jet skis, a boat and Motorhome, and asked me where he should go. I certainly steered him away from AAA Self Storage and will surely do so for anyone else that I know, looking for storage now and in the future.

I stored most of my household belongings for 5 months while I completed a renovation on my home. Curbside was prompt in my initial pickup and finally today when they returned my possessions. Highly recommend using Curbside as they are headquartered in Huntington Beach and family owned and provide the service I expected and an affordable price.
