tucked away by the freeway overpass near the 405 is a quaint newer self storage facility called US Storage centers. highly recommended as the staff steven was very kind and helpful. although one is recommended to look online ahead of space offering sizes and possibly reserve booking ahead of time. they even have a one bedroom move truck available for use included free as look as you book ahead and keep the mileage 50 miles or less. if you intend longer distance usage it is the 67 cents per mile. this in itself was a great deal considering the headache of going to rent the truck elsewhere. the gates are all digitally operated on an app called genie and access to storage are during business hours. i appreciate the kind staff and truck and half off first full months of rent. there is an option to purchase a lock for 19 dollars so that is pretty convenient as well. highly recommended due to friendly helpful staff, location, affordability. thank you steven read more

Customer Service = 0 I arranged for a storage unit online and paid online. At the end of the process, it said I would need to stop by the Storage center prior to using the storage unit. I arranged to take a late lunch Friday since I would be moving some items to storage Saturday morning prior to the office opening. Upon arriving at the storage facility, just prior to 1:30pm I found the office to be locked. The hours stated online and, on the door, say the office hours are 9am-6pm Monday - Friday. I found a sign taped to the inside of the tinted office window saying it is under construction and to use the gate to the right for the temporary office. The gate door is locked. I call the phone number on the door and get a person off site that answers. They say the office should be open. They ask for my information and say they will call me back. Shortly after they call me back and say the person is at lunch until 2pm can I wait. I explain that I drove over at my lunch so that I can have access tomorrow morning and nowhere on the Office door or online does it say closed for lunch at any specific time. I ask if it would be possible to complete the information over the phone or get a gate code so I can move my items tomorrow morning. I am told that cannot be done. I plan and handle everything I can online ahead of time. I drive to the Storage facility on my lunch hour to complete the process that they cannot handle online. The office gets closed during business hours and I am asked to wait and be late for my lunch. Maybe they are not familiar with what customer service should look like, but this is not it. read more

this guy Steven who works here is odd and his customer service persona I would describe as corse and devoid of basic congeniality. I conveyed that I would find renters insurance independently of the coverage offered by US Storage and he couldn't wait to tell my about the penalt... 3 dollars, lol. In any other instance I would have just paid the 3 bucks but because of the look of satisfaction that came over Steven while delivering the news of a penalty I then decided that it would be worth losing the 15 dollar processing fee that I had already paid for. Well worth it to insure not having to interact with this individual in the future. Why do these negative personality types go for custom service positions? They continually raise the rent I moved out in September and I had to do it the stairs on the third floor because they did not have the elevator fixed as the promised I told them the month before I was going to move out so I was told I was getting a refund because they take the money right away okay this has been since September I called about my refund they told me I would get it in November because corporate has to cut me a check I've called the follow-up several times and I just get a run around it's a shame because the facility itself is kind of nice other than them raising the rent constantly I was with them for 2 years and I had two storages and I cut it down to one I don't understand why they take the money out of your account so fast knowing that you're moving out and yet you cannot get your money back as fast as they take it out of your account I'm going to have to file a grievance with the better Business bureau or something to get my money it's over $170 that they owe me. Another thing is that they are not climate control they say it is but it's not leave me up on third floor you feel it there's no climate control and they shut the lights off like within 30 minutes while you're still in the unit read more

6 stars. I drove to 8 storage facilities and ended up at US Storage here in Westminster. The property manager Kevin, helped explain the unit sizes plus the packages. He was so quick to get me an amazing unit and also includes a big truck and dolly to help me move. Also saved me over $250 and about 6 hours of time. The pricing is also way more affordable than any of the 8 storage facilities that I had went to. I was looking in Costa Mesa, Newport and sant Ana. Oh and he also gave me a lock for my unit for free. These storage places always up charge, I feel like I got a deal rather then ripped off. It feels good to have it stored away for an amazing price. Kevin was easy to work with and very efficient. Big shout out to Kevin and Rain for making our first experience with US Storage (Westminster, CA) a great one. This facility as others commented is clean, secure, and kept up very well. Not sure how old or new their pictures are on this site are, but the place still looks like that. When we first visited, Kevin took great care in showing us around and opened various units sized around what our requirements are. What a great first impression it was as he explained the layouts, process, and cost structure, and that we could use their truck for move in. In follow up calls he was very detailed in answering questions and we reserved a time (and reserve use of their truck) to take another look so we could choose what one to rent. They gave a call and a text reminder of the appointment. That day came and we then met Rain who was also exceptional in customer service in showing what was available and from that we made our choice of 2 units. Rain made the unit booking, using the truck and move in experience a positive one. He was very thorough and patient going over the documents. He made sure we had what we needed to get settled into the units including access to carts (nice ones, not beat up), lock plates for padlocks, and access code (they are high tech with an app so you can "remotely" open gates). During our move in he was accessible as he would answer the phone and came to help us with a stuck lock. Overall, our experience with the staff and facility a 5 star rating is well deserved. We decided to go with this place because they had a promotion, storage and truck. We are on the freeway and the tire blows. We call and ask for help and they say "the manager is going to finish his lunch break." Mean while we are stranded on the 405 freeway and have to be out today. I am now behind schedule, I don't know if I should leave the truck on the freeway and get an Uber it has been over hour and 30 mins and I still have no answers. I can't believe they aren't sending a tow truck or offering us help on what to do, when they gave us a truck in bad condition. We could have lost control of the truck and would of been held responsible. read more

Property manager Kevin is extremely respectful and understanding in my needs & timeline in terms of storage. He honored deals stated online & outlined all the pricing for the estimated duration I would need my unit for. So far all of the prices he wrote down for me have been honored! Kevin was very considerate of the pandemic-related regulations. I wanted to view my potential unit before renting and he gave me a tour with minimal contact, he also properly wore his mask the entire time. He was very friendly and was not offended that I wanted to inspect the unit myself before renting. I toured the unit and rented it within the same hour. The units do require that you purchase a $12 lock from the facility. Not that this was a downside but I did not know this before going in. The lock is yours to keep after purchasing/renting & we were allowed to put our own lock on our storage in addition to their required lock. As for the facility, the indoor portion is quite clean and free of trash/debris/bugs/excessive dust from what I saw. I did, however, rent mid-pandemic so I am not sure how the facilities are when they have more traffic but I assume they are maintained to the same quality I witnessed. There are a few "flatbed" carts for use and these were great for moving everything from the car in one trip to the storage unit. Elevators are spacious & give plenty of time to drive in & out of them before they close on you. Premises is locked with a gate that you enter with a provided code which turns the security for your unit off when you enter and back on when you exit. The hours of operation are a huge plus, they were open whenever we made it to the gates with plenty of time to exit. Kevin also outlines any fees associated with being locked in after hours and needing to be let out. read more

I have had some form of storage unit at US Storage Centers for years. I had no work for a couple of months and it set me back substantially. I was scrambling to get the money together to pay for the unit and then move out by the end of the month. Just this afternoon I got a call saying they are going to lock me out of the unit on Friday morning at 10am. Tomorrow is the Thanksgiving holiday and they are just now calling me about the lockout at 2pm. Since I am already on the locksmith schedule, they refuse to waive the fee or not lock me out, despite planning to move out by the end of the month. I either have to pay in full by 10am Friday or incur another fee. So not only will I be incurring a lockout fee I can't afford, I cannot have access to my items. They do not settle or take partial payments, nor will they do anything to work with the customer despite YEARS of payments and storage use. I really hope I don't lose my belongings because they are important to me. read more

I found this place in a Yelp search and called around to a few storage centers in the OC area. Called in on a Saturday and spoke with Gabby and then Kevin (the manager). I made an appointment for Sunday and was able to not only get a great deal on a unit, but they let me borrow their moving truck! That saved me so much time and money... what a clutch way to do business. Admittedly, I even showed up late to drop the truck off, but Kevin was super patient and understanding and I was able to get so much done in a weekend. You can tell Kevin has a passion for customer service! The units are really clean and nice. I stored a bunch of old records in my unit and even during the hottest part of the day, it was cool in the central unit. They are all built of concrete/cinderblocks and metal. read more
