I got no Joke $22 Dollars. I spent $180.00 on those 2 shoes combined. The girls that work there act like they're working for Donatella Versace. Like Daaam talk about attitude. They're absolutely RUDE. Jesus Christ. JUST HORRIBLE. The Manager comments on here acting like she is going to change things. Those employees are so rude. No type of Customer service. So that pretty much brand new Banana Republic shirt that cost $39.95 on sale, they figure they'll sell it for $14, and you get a whopping $5 for it. Wow, what a deal... Save yourself the drive to the store, and the wait in the store. Go to Salvation Army or Goodwill instead and donate your clothes and get a receipt where the amount is left blank for you to fill in. read more

This place has become below average. I haven't found anything "great" within the store in the past year. I feel a lot of what they're putting on their rack is poor quality. Examples: stains, very damaged clothes, poor fabric garments. It simply appears that their standard has gone down. Also, some of the employers have their noses in the air when handling customers. They don't come off as friendly. I probably won't be back here to sell my clothes either. I sell more on Ebay or at other stores. It's clear that this Crossroads would rather purchase something stained over something brand new and in style. I've also worked as a designer for well known brands and major recording artists so it's not like I'm oblivious to what quality is or what customers want to buy. read more

I saw this great ad in the LA Weekly from Crossroads Trading CO. WE BUY YOUR CLOTHES. Hurray, I thought as I packed up my levi jeans, other jeans, and classic slacks in traditional colors, Khaki, Blk, Loden, Burg. They didn't want a one. These are all new too. I don't wear pants as a rule, so maybe one of the pairs was worn more than twice. They only want trendy. Their ad also says they have Friendly Buyers. They must have been off that day. read more

I'm reluctant to write this, but I feel it's important that other people who visit Crossroads to trade clothes are aware of something that isn't included in writing in their buying policy. I was completely mortified today when I went into the store to trade some things in. First, I'll say that I like Crossroads, and have been able to find some excellent things in the Melrose and Santa Monica Blvd locations. I've had good experiences trading with them and feel they price things fairly. I try to bring in brands that I've seen them sell in their store, and usually have a very decent trade. I take the store credit (50% of what their selling price will be) because I shop for 2 women, they like certain brands, and if they don't buy what I've selected from Crossroads for them I try to sell it on eBay. Overall, I think it's a good system- I bring in good quality items, the store gets them to sell, and I get to find things for my ladies. Here's where things went bad today. I did my customary trade, and went to shop the store so I could spend my credit (BTW, I always spend more than I've traded... I'm not very practical!). One of the buyers came over to me and told me they've noticed I trade at their store and the Santa Monica one often, and bring in clothes of varied sizes, so they wanted to know if I was a "professional trader". I said, "I guess so, if you could call it that?" He said, "We have a policy here that when someone is a professional seller, we won't offer them store credit, but will only give the 30% of the selling price in cash. Our policy is that we don't support other businesses like yours. We'll give you the credit today, but not after this." I suppose I could have lied about how I make my living- I know other people who do what I do and are just better at hiding it. Regardless, what I was told today isn't written in their policy; they should add that "professional sellers/ shoppers can't trade, only sell". Also, this was told to me in a busy store, and although I was surrounded by strangers, it was pretty embarrassing to be spoken to like this. I've been a very good customer at Crossroads, and now I that I've been "flagged" in their system I'm not sure if I should trade/ buy things there anymore. Very upsetting. read more

What? 5 stars for a Crossroads? You better believe it. The buyers at this location know their stuff. Yes, like any consignment shop, you have to dig, but this place is a treasure trove for label whores, and an added bonus is that much of the clothes are in exceptional condition. I spent some quality time here yesterday and came away with a huge bag full of beautiful pieces for a little over $100. The best thing? They look brand new. The location on Santa Monica Blvd has been rated higher by Yelpers, so next time I will go check that location out, but definitely coming back to this one too on my next visit to LA." read more

I only came here to sell three pairs of Diesel jeans, one of which they didn't accept but were basically brand new, and they would have given me $7 per pair for the others. I laughed and walked out. I guess I'm used to Beacon's Closet in Brooklyn where they gladly give you a much better rate on clothes. The jeans will just sit in my car then and collect dust. I bought a few things today. There were so many amazing deals I took advantage of. Aside from all of the great steals I got today I witnessed some amazing customer service. The service is why I'm writing the review. Everyone here was so nice. I noticed the sales associate patiently helping an older shopper. She assisted her with the kind of attentiveness and expertise one would expect to receive in a high end luxury retail location. I loved listening to their interaction as they scaled the racks looking for the perfect "riding pants" as the older woman kept saying. Lol ( I think she meant leggings). The young lady breezed through the inventory from rack to rack helping her put together a proper outfit. It was refreshing to see world class customer service in such a laid back shopping atmosphere. read more

Maybe they are not as trendy as Wasteland, but their staff have great energy and positive, polite attitude when it comes to treating their customers. The staff from Wasteland at the buying counter was fairly rude, never greeted and never smiled, looked like someone owes him a million bucks. He barely scanned through my clothes and shoes then told me the shoes were so worn out (the Marc Jacobs heels I only wore twice ) and simply said "I don't see anything we can use today" and just stormed off the counter. I then brought exact same stuff to Crossroads which is across the street, the ladies in the store were all very nice especially the courteous girl with black hair and cute bangs at the buying counter. She scanned through everything gently , saying my shoes were in very nice condition , and politely explained me which items they will take but which items they can't accept because those were not popular at this time among their customers or because of different seasons. Despite the overpricing stuff, maybe Wasteland boasts on their great taste to attract vintage shoppers whereas I found a friendly and nice attitude to treat your customers goes a longer way. I am selling stuff instead of buying doesn't make me less respectful as a client. You never know who will come through the door one day. read more

The selection was boring. Nothing really good. Meaning that perhaps who ever here is doing the buying should be a little more selective. Sorry.. All though service was great the selection was rather dull. I will give them credit for I found a "vintage like" (not vintage) wind breaker. I also found a Miss Sixty overcoat for $55. If your into more of a vintage shop then this really is not the place. Some vintage pieces but they were blah. More-so a selection of newer stuff. i can't say im a fan because i can hardly find anything in the men's aisle for clothes that fit my style or fit my fat ass at all. thou, most of the clothes they were selling were in pretty good condition as a 2nd hand store. i sold a wardrobe of my hardly worn, expensive name brand clothes for a fraction of its store credit because i've gained over 60lbs since i joined the military. i use to be 110 wet in high school and now im 174lbs in muscle and fat. I wanted to get ride of them. my lost is their gain.* they weren't too picky in buying my clothes because most of my stuff was in pretty good condition and i know i had style. its the clothes that make the man. thou, the staff is very helpful. Birdy helped me out with the clothes i wanted to sell. it was my first time. She was really attentive, helpful, and totally cute. you look good, you feel good, you do good. read more

First time seller to this location and absolutely the last.. Lol basically the white lady manager was pretty rude when I first walked in. I asked if they bought Versace items And she said yes and then I asked about how their buying process is and she said that I had to sign in first and they'd tell me when they call my name. Keep in mind there was 6 people in front of me with bags and bags and bags of clothes... So I left and check out Buffalo exchange and came back about an hour later and then waited 40minutes for them check my items and the guy asked his manager if they'd take the Versace items and she said no and disappeared after she already said they'd take the brand... Petty rude and obviously this lady hates her management life and Crossroads. Whatever never coming back and definitely happy to take my vintage else where who'll pay hundreds more than these people. Sometimes I wonder what kind of racket they are running. I say that because I've brought in clothes and shoes that were turned down because of minor wear issues but when I browsed the store to shop there was a bunch of really visibly worn shoes all along the wall. I've thrifted all around Melrose and can honestly say this is the best place to get good-quality clothing and shoes for reasonable prices. The first day I went, I purchased five tops (Zara, Topshop, Madewell, Tripp NYC, Urban Outfitters)- didn't expect to find as much black clothing as I did considering it was LA but this place changed my mind! My friend and I were so pleased that we came back the next day and already, there were new shoes and bags in stock so we ended up grabbing the ones that caught our eye. I can't speak more highly of this store. Amazing clothes for a reasonable price. Huge brands normally hundreds of dollars, are only $20-$30. Be ready to sift. It's not one of those stores where you can go and window shop, not touch anything, and find your perfect dress. When you see something, get it because it will not be there tomorrow. Tip: look at what's hanging on the wall. Some of the cutest and newest stuff is there. Also, go when you have at least an hour to spare and you'll find some amazing things. In addition, their skirt selection isn't amazing. But their tops and dresses are awesome. They also buy a lot, so try and sell some of your old stuff that isn't worn looking. read more

I realise that every person has had a different experience of Crossroads, however, I think any shop that is willing to buy your goods and give you cash or credit is fantastic! I wish this service was offered in more shops. Clothes are expensive on the whole and I appreciate what this shop offers. Every time I go I tend to find at least one item I like. i got the sickest pair of jeans ever from crossroads.... u just have to thumb thru everything... so if u have patience, by all means check this spot out!! if u have a bag of clothes and u r thinking about giving to good will...look thru it and if u have some stylish garb, set it aside and take it to crossroads....they're pretty good about exchanging ur trades for their merchandise. crossroads is a great place to get usually pricey items, like high end belts and accessories. i actually like items that r used...i get to facilitate their journey! maybe i'll even sell 'em back to crossroads when I am done with 'em!! xo- andrea read more

Stopped in on Sunday, this place had some really fabulous stuff! One of the prettiest Betsey Johnson dresses I've ever seen ($20, not my size, of course!), designer handbags & jeans galore, and some really adorable coats. It's a good thing there wasn't room in my luggage for anything more than the sweater dress I picked up, or I would have gone broke shopping in there. This place reminded me of a Buffalo Exchange, except they had better quality clothes in much better condition than I normally find at Buffalo. Now that I know there are numerous locations, I will plan a Crossroads day on my next LA trip & bring an empty suitcase!!! read more

Literally this place has saved my shopping life . I have a ton of clothing with tags on them , which I have never worn. I never really want to donate them because they have worth . I started selling to crossroads about 5 years ago and by now they have upgraded me to VIP . You have to kind of figure out what they are looking for each season and make sure nothing is stained or damaged. I have found some really great pieces here and always get compliments ! read more

I love this location the best out of all the LA ones. The assortment and brand selection is the best and I always find a great dress or top for an amazing value. In regards to the buying staff, usually I have attentive and good service from the female staff and Brandon. After reading the other reviews, there is a male buyer that is rude and completely unprofessional to be in a retail setting. I understand being selective and "on trend' but when they have a bad attitude and look at you like you can't afford anything less than Gucci, customers don't appreciate it and will not tell their friends to shop there. adorable jackets and HUGE selection of shoes! i saw some cute tops but nothing that fit this tall girl well. i hit this place up on the weekend and it was a bit of a zoo but the staff managing the dressing rooms were doing the best they could. We came to exchange a jacket from a SF store for some goodies we found here (brand new Banana Republic pants & shirt!!). the person ringing us up wasnt too friendly but he was going as fast as he could. I've had hit-and-miss experiences at this Crossroads in LA... compared to the Crossroads locations in SF, the selection here can be trendier and more upscale (leaving the dredges for me, like a pair of Theory pants and an Earl Jeans jacket.) But the service here can make me feel invisible, like when I once stood at the counter and waited to pay as the staff seemed to find anything else to do but ring up my purchase. The clothes here are great--lots of good pieces for decent prices. The staff? Absolutely awful. I was amazed at the general attitude held by every staff member I encountered, from the fitting rooms (where they seemed genuinely irritated that I wanted to try anything on at all) to the cash wrap (where they had one person handling a line of customers for quite some time before another employee finally came out to help, and even then only shouted out prices rather than actually help the waiting customers). I can't remember the last time I've felt less welcomed in a store. It's such a shame because they really do have some great clothes, but for the rudeness of the staff alone I will definitely not be coming back here. read more

When I was going to UCLA, this store always came through with some cute clothes at decent prices. They never failed me. I found a Diesel jean jacket here for $15. Everything I bought here has lasted and they have a wide selection. The staff may have changed since I moved, but they were a little snooty whenever I went. Happy shopping! read more

I love this place! I got some great jeans and great shoes that were almost new for very cheap. We went to Wasteland and Bufflalo first and I didn't find anything. These stores are really hit or miss but this one was awesome. I didn't see a lot of vintage stuff but if you are just looking for good finds for cheap this was awesome. read more
