The 30% off sign & sales rack in front of this store caught my attention, so I stopped in. The Canyon is a quaint little shop that carries apparel, home goods, and vintage clothing. It's nicely curated, which makes it easy to browse through the Boho chic pieces and vintage apparel. They also carry unique jewelry, candles, accessories, and other cool items. I didn't find anything but the gal working was friendly and attentive. Next time I'm in the area I'll stop by to see what is new.

It was a quick interaction, maybe 5 minutes, but it left me shaking. there are so many other details of this interaction that contribute to the clear sense I have that it was all racially motivated. After I ended my call and rejoined, I walked away shocked that this woman felt so shamelessly emboldened to police my behavior on a PUBLIC sidewalk. I was embarrassed that so many people saw me get defensive in return and possibly perceived me as an aggressor. It may be slightly uphill, but after the concert, the walk back is a breeze. Parking is a very fare price, and most shops & restaurants will validate 2 hours free, which make it even more affordable. We recently checked out their Center Court FIFA watch party area and it was a LOT of fun. I also felt it was safe and a good visual presence of security guards was observed. There are also easy coffee, sandwich, boba and snack kiosks for a quick bite or fun treat. This is also a great location to start the Hollywood walk of fame tour, cement handprints and local museums - in particular The Hollywood Museum, just a 1/2 block away.
