I'm not sure why I hate shopping here so much but I think I can boil it down: 1. Clothing is organized by color. Seriously, that may be colorful but it is truly dumb. I detest pulling out a lovely blouse only to find it's a size 12 when I'm a size 2. FAIL. 2. Lots and lots and lots and lots of Old Navyishness. I'm no snob, I am at this very moment wearing a cute cardigan I purchased there for $17. Which is why I see no reason to paw through the color display here to save $2. 3. The sales help look at you with the I'm Dying Inside expressions of the changing room people at Target. Frankly, it freaks me out. There's a corporate feel unlike, say, the Buffalo Exchange down the street. If you want Old Navy, shop the sales online or drag yourself downtown. If you want vintage, go to Red Light. It's more fun. If you want to shop by color, help the world with Goodwill. If you must shop Crossroads, the Capitol Hill location is miles better. read more

Shopping here is a whatever experience, they don't have that great of stuff. But I must have went in when they were sucked dry of any good brands. My routine when I feel stingy is go in and look for a specific item, and if I don't find it there, I will probably find it at Goodwill or something. I have seen way better shit up the road at UVillage Goodwill than I have here. Not impressed. After trying to sell them bags of clothes three different times, I can understand why people do not bother trying to come here to sell. You can just throw it in the big blue box at Goodwill, and it saves them the bewilderment of why the hell you left the store with the same amount of clothes you brought in. Selling here is a real bitch. Let's begin with the lack of parking whenever you want to sell your shit. It is easy to waste 10 mins circling the block trying to find a convenient place to park your ass so that you can haul your crap to the store without spraining ankles. You're finally there, and there's going to be four or five other people ahead of you wanting to sell their shit, too, so you have to wait literally more than half an hour most of the time. Then your stinginess kicks in and you think to yourself, "Is this wait even worth paying for parking if they're not even going to buy any of my used clothes?" Then let's go on to talk about their arbitrary selectiveness. They keep you in the dark about what they really want. No explanation from them at all. Whether or not my clothes will be taken is in one person's hands. I have taken a lot of clothes in that I thought would have matched up to what they were looking for. I have seen some serious garbage in Crossroads, from stuff that belonged to Gap and Old Navy that were priced at $5. When I see this, I think to myself, "Why can't I do it?" I have never tried to sell them Old Navy or Gap clothes; however, they rejected Banana Republic, Abercrombie and Fitch, I.N.C, Forever 21, and other respectable brands that even trendy-hippies in Seattle would not necessarily scoff at. But Crossroads wouldn't have any of it, so I leave the store hauling loads of clothes back into my car. My best guess, and this is a damn good guess if you ask me, is that the girls they employ here sell their crap here that we usually see in the store. But they're going to go ahead and be nitpicky about decent brands others bring in, and this can't just be only me. read more

So I previously gave this place 5 stars however I'm changing it because I was very disappointed the last time I was here. I usually come here to get cheap designer clothes, and I grabbed some clothes to try on which were marked with high end brands on the tag like "lululemon" and "kate spade".. However when I went to try it on I realized that they had just put a tag on that said it was high end but the logo wasn't on the clothes and there was no tags on the clothes to indicate that these were actually the designer clothes they were trying to pass them off as. I've been at Crossroads twice: one time to buy and another time to sell. When I went to buy clothes: Salespeople were chatting the entire time, completely ignoring the people waiting to purchase clothes. When I was up at the register, I politely smiles and said hello. The girl who was checking me out glanced and gave me the most annoyed glance ever. The only thing she said to me was the price in a very bored voice. When I went to sell: Place was unbelievably crowded but the three-four people working seemed to take their sweet time. I have never sold before so I signed up on their sheet. Seeing how long their line was, I asked one of the girls working how long it would take. She sighed and said 20 minutes. So I asked her if it's okay if I grab a coffee and come back. She rolled her eyes and said "if you don't come back when we call you, we will move on." Earlier, I saw that same girl treat two customers rudely when they asked her a question. So I wasn't surprised that she wasn't nice to me either. I came back right after getting my coffee. I waited literally an hour before I was called. Twenty minutes... Yeah, right. To make things short, she was horrendously rude to me and made my whole experience a terrible time there. I don't know what her problem was. I don't think I'm gonna come back to that store because I don't like to be treated like a nuisance especially when I'M paying YOU. Crossroads, your SAs need an attitude check. read more

So...I have a like-hate relationship with both Crossroads, but I'll specifically address this store. Firstly, Customer service--almost non-existent except for 1 employee I have encountered,she juggles "buys & cashiering," who even with my occasional drop-in,recalls who I am and actually acknowledge my presence and show courtesy everyone else. I can't recall her name,but she's blonde.She deserves some appreciation. The others are mostly head down,chit-chatting or picking out who to engage in customer service and who not to bother with.Common occurrence with the dark-haired girl & male buyer. Onto Selling. I've 'sold' items here occasionally and every time, the same aforementioned buyer asks whether I have sold before and doesn't seem motivated. Isn't the whole point of this line of work,building rapport with customers? Plus,we get it,sometimes you're swamped, but aren't you at work(?!) I digress--The buyer will speedily sift through my items and take several items. But here's the kicker, with the number of contemporary brands from Anthropologie, Rachel Roy etc that I bring in, with the occasional JCrew, XXI (mostly ltd edition items),most which either still have tags or never worn more than once,never have I received store credit or cash offer over $12. Example, recently, sold a unique tribal pattern jean,striped letter tote and nine west sandals--all brand new and received $11 store credit or less than $4 cash. So I tried out my own little experiment. I took similar items to the Broadway store, received the choice of $40-something store credit or $33 and change cash.WHAT??!! AND the buyer (Broadway) explained what items would be great to bring in next time etc.Taken aback is an understatement! One more observation I have made, whether buying or just shopping, if you don't "look" the part, you won't get any generous offers from this store i.e. (trying to tred carefully here) If you're not a UW Asian student, don't press your luck! Despite all the above, I have occasionally found few unique items that I waited out and still found available even after a while and the pricey ones ended up further discounted. I was here yesterday to sell clothing. The buyer was friendly and professional and the store was clean. The reason I'm not rating 5 stars is because of the odd method of color "organization" and because of the cashier, Theresa. I was standing at the counter awaiting help and finally said "Hi. I need to be paid out.". She nearly jumped out of her skin like I was a ghost. After her near-death reaction, she said "Well, were you selling clothes?". Um...yeah. Of course I was selling clothes. Doesn't she cash people out a hundred times a day? I said "Yes" and added that I'd like to exchange some small bills for a $20. She said they "don't give change for more than a $5."... I had to repeat: "I'm not ASKING for change, I'm OFFERING change for your till." She scowled. Hello? Anyone home? Have you ever worked at a register? After slowly cashing me out, she threw my money and ID on the counter. Wow. Fine customer service from everyone but her. Why, of why, in this time of high unemployment, do these people have jobs? This is a review for being a SELLER only... I rarely shop at stores like this and either try finding deals diving through goodwills or being savvy about new fashions at discount prices (thank you gilt and plndr). As a seller, this place has been a delight. I never have to spend much time waiting for my clothes to be looked at and the pricing is very fair. What sets this place apart from Buffalo (a few blocks north) is they are more open to buying your clothes, now I know they both buy clothes but a lot of great stuff that Buffalo passes on (mostly for the brand in my opinion) Crossroads takes. I think the buyers here are more knowledgable about well made clothing and are more willing to buy a brand that isn't as well known for the fact that the piece is well made. Dear Crossorads, Let me give you some customer service tips from someone who spent over 10 years in CS. Now I know you're all just a bunch of college sophomores who don't give a crap about this lame retail job that you have to work to get through school so this is going to fall on deaf ears, but here I go anyway. 1. When a customer walks in the door, greet them with a friendly "Hi, how are you doing today". Don't just stand there talking with your coworkers and ignoring them. 2. When a customer is standing at the counter ACKNOWLEDGE THEM! If you're busy then say "I'll be with you in just a moment." If you're not busy then go over and ask them if you can help them with anything. DON'T just stand there talking to your coworkers for 5 minutes while completely ignoring the customer. 3. When the customer asks to try on the boots from behind the country, hand them to her, offer her nylon socks for trying them on with and then check in with her to see how the fit is, cause maybe she'd like to buy them. You know, spend money at your store, which is kind of the whole point of being a store. DON'T just toss the boots on the counter without even making eye contact and then return to your conversation with your coworker. This makes the customer feel like you think she is an inconvenience even though thats really just you doing your job. 4. Your boots are used. Stop trying to sell them for upwards of $200. That is ridiculous. read more

Coming home from Hawaii we do not have ANY good places to resell and buy used clothing. So I was so excited to find out Seattle had a good selection of stores that do this, and so far Crossroads has come up at the top of my list. First off they are picky, really picky. My first time selling they didn't take ANY of my Seven for All Mankind jeans, also some of my surf brand tops (Roxy or Billabong). Which was a little disappointing since when you look through the racks you find pieces from Forever 21 or Target, like REALLY ugly pieces of clothing. It left me thinking "you take that crap, and won't take my awesome Billabong clothes." The girl reviewing my clothes explained that a lot of my clothes were not "in season," understandable I just came from Hawaii were every season is a warm one. She also said to save some pieces and sell them in the spring. Always check their yelp page and website for what season they are buying for. It obviously pays to be picky, because I always find something when I visit. They have a good selection of jeans, coats, sweaters, and dresses. They also have a lot of designer items displayed which is really helpful. Some of the best pieces I've found were a BCBG blazer for $18, Steve Madden boots for $23, and a few Madewell tops for under $15. Prices are reasonable, but as a shopper always be aware of what you are buying, how much is the actual retail price is. If a Forever 21/Target/H&M shirt or top averages $17-$22, would you pay $11-15 for it used, knowing the quality of garment? I wouldn't it. And as always double check the quality of the piece, they are picky but somethings can be easily missed, tears, pit stains (seriously I saw a Top Shop top with MAJOR sweat stains, nasty). Spring is coming in a few months, I'm having my mom mail over some of my Spring/Summer stuff from back home, hopefully I'll get a good trade in! read more

She promptly looked @ all my clothing (good condition lululemons), security tagged them and THEN told me the price. 26$ for 3 pairs of pants?! I was appalled! The worst part is that they don't tell you how much money they're going to give you until they've taken all of your clothing. What the hell have I been doing??? I don't know how many times I've walked by this place going up The Ave. You want to know what's the dumbest part? I could see some of the designer goods through the window, but because they don't have a door where you can enter off The Ave, I've never gone in. DUMMY. I had some extra time today and told myself that I'd spend the down time walking. I had recently been looking for a pair of jeans and decided that I should get my next pair second-hand. Well, damn. Walking... Into... A second-hand store. Perfect. I was immediately greeted. I don't like to be hassled when I shop, but acknowledgment is nice. Check. I went straight to the (you guessed it) jeans. Nicely organized by size. And the shoes! They had good-looking shoes. I've never had luck before with second-hand shoes... But wanted to buy a couple pairs here. After selecting a few pairs to try on, I perused other areas, including sweaters, coats, accessories, the behind-the-counter designer goods, and men's. (The shirts weren't necessarily overwhelming... I just didn't feel like shopping for any tips this evening.) I was incredibly impressed with the selection. The pieces weren't full of pills, stains, or ugliness. I have tried looking at Buffalo Exchange and Goodwill... But no luck. Crossroads is definitely more my style. (And the men's section is great, too.) I picked up some Joe's Jeans for $25. Sweet deal. I almost got a grey J. Crew boyfriend cardigan ($16 and practically new) and an MNG military style coat. ($22.50 an OUTRAGEOUS steal!) I didn't get the coat, though, because it was too small. And even if I were to lose enough weight to fit it, I think it was a wee bit long for my petite limbs. (I was also seriously considering some Coach ballet flats for $15.) Yes, tops, sweaters, and coats are organized by color rather than size... But the store looks neater that way and (at least for me) I'm still able to feel like I'm "rifling through for an awesome deal." ...and an awesome deal you'll get. Rifling or not. read more

I used to live across the street from this place, I went in once, the girl made me check my bag, I got offended and left. That was dumb. I went back last week... This place has sorted out all the stuff that you might actually want from the crap. Most things have some sort of label. Really, I liked most of the clothes I saw. I got a bronze clutch (so cute!) by Aldo for under 10 bucks and a pair of really cute looking open toed- wedges in a light mint green that were so mod for 14 dollars! If I would have stayed longer, I would have been out a lot more money. My friend got a dark grey thin cardigan brand new with tags for 7 bucks. Me and my boyfriend dropped a bag of clothes each . And We selected on the form not to donate the clothes that crossroads didn't take . That said they would call us the next Saturday to pick up whatever they didn't take . Saturday , Sunday Monday Tuesday goes by so we stopped by the store . Turns out they donated the clothes they "didn't take" , which we'd be kind of okay with it until they told me they only took a couple items and I'd only have 40 dlls credit . I had totally unused leather Chelsea boots , all saints new dresses , made well unused pants , never worn jeffrey Campbell's Chelsea boots , doc martens , the new converse , a bunch of brand new and totally on season clothes , my boyfriend had Acne , Alexander McQueen and more designer clothes in perfect condition . He got 80 dlls .... we are not the kind of people that complains for little things , but we can't help but suspect they didn't donate those clothes. I have never had this happened to me , not even on the other crossroads locations . Just went in tonight, with 3 big bags of clothes to sell. They bought everything except a pair of unworn fleece pants and an old peacoat which surprised me since the majority of the stuff were older than their "we'll only buy stuff that's no older than a yr old" policy. Oh well. Staff was friendly & efficient. The whole process took about 10 mins, I got the chance to browse around the store while waiting. Clothes are sorted by sex, then by color (pants are sorted by size). Which sucks 'cause I wanted to find clothes that are in my size. I don't want to be teased & taunted by all the other cute shirts that I can't fit into! Tops range btwn $7-15, and jeans are $15+, not too shabby! Since this store is in the U-Dist., the sizes are obviously catered to the majority of UW women: size 2-10 figures. I'll go back next weekend with more clothes to sell and spend more time browsing & maybe use their store credit offer :) read more

To start, this is a cool store. Good selection, and good atmosphere. If you are looking to buy cool used clothes, I think that they have a lot to offer. Sellers, however, beware. They use consignment for sales - they put up the item, and if it sells, you get money. I tried selling a designer bag here, and after about a month it hadn't sold, so they asked me to lower the price. Not a big deal, it happens. What they wanted to sell it for was lower than what I wanted, so I came in to pick up the bag instead to try my luck elsewhere. The bag came back in much worse condition than I had left it - not just dirty from being in the store, but dirty inside as well, as if it had been used quite heavily. I suspect that the sales associates had been using the bag, which is really creepy. I don't think I will sell stuff here anymore. read more

I did not see a single thing I liked. Period. Many of the dresses look like they could have been purchased at Goodwill for a cheaper price. Things were organized by color rather than size, at least that's what I picked up on. I wasn't acknowledged by a single employee, which is strange, seeing as the place is so tiny. There weren't many sizes larger than 12, and most things there were for much smaller women. Which is kind of disappointing, seeing as all women need clothing- not just skinny ones. Basically, I walked in, walked around the purses, dresses, pants, tops, and shoes, and walked out in under ten minutes. Might as well pass this place up and head for Buffalo Express. read more

I have visited this Crossroads location several times, and my experience is always different. I have bought and sold, and I worked in a secondhand store for several years, so I believe I have a pretty realistic expectation when I go in. Buying: if you know your brands, and their original retail value, you know that 80% of the time you are walking away with an amazing deal. They have a decent selection, a wide range of style, and usually plenty of sale marked items. The only negative things I can honestly say are that the condition is not always the best and they will not mark down a price for damage. Also, the racks are a little too packed for my taste; I know thrift shops require digging, but the worst thing is when it's too tight to dig. Selling: I usually end up with 60-120 dollars worth of cash, or 80-150 for trade. Depending on how much I find, I'll either do all trade or part- trade, part- cash. Each time I have ended up waiting over an hour for them to look through my items, but the last time I waited close to three hours, and honestly I'm not sure I'll go back again. I feel that the buyer lacked knowledge, and she should have been supervised. To conclude, this store can be great. But I have also seen better selection and better employees. This store seems to lack organization and management, and could definitely use more training on buying secondhand. read more

This is a trendier thrift store that is selective about what it buys and sells. This is probably why the store is a little on the small side. The store is about 85+% women's clothing and accessories. Most men's and women's clothing as well accessory stuff all seemed fashionable, pretty good quality. I sympathize with what another reviewer about sizes, this store does seem to cater more extensively to the "typical" body types. Staff was friendly when approached. I honestly like this place way better than Buffalo which is down the street. I like how quick they are with their buying process. They don't seem as bitchy as Buffalo and their variety is WAY better. It's a small shop, but it's organized and they are great w pricing. I used to buy designer jeans all brand new, until I said screw it... I'm a student, I need money and so far, this place.. you can never go wrong w designer jeans and such. Their men's clothes suck for the most part, and yet they rarely want to buy anything I bring in. I guess my clothes must really suck. On the subject of selling, they sure take their time looking through your stuff compared to Buffalo Exchange. What's even more frustrating: I hand over my bags and the girl hands me a number, saying it will be about 10 minutes before she gets to my stuff. No problem, I say, and I walk out to stroll the streets for a bit. I return to find out she skipped me because she called out for me a few times and I wasn't here. Really?! They need to check IDs before they start. I get that. But how about asking for that as you check people in? What a waste of time. Now I'm waiting, again, but this time inside the store. And for what? She'll probably pick one item from two large bags and I'll walk out with a wrinkly 5 dollar bill. Edit: I waited till the verdict came in to finish this review. I'm actually getting $3.xx for one item. Hardly worth waiting 30 minutes for. I spent that much at Bartells in the 10 or 15 minutes I was out killing time and getting skipped. I've never once found anything I liked enough to buy at this location or the one on Capitol Hill (save for something intended for a Halloween costume), and they've purchased a tiny fraction of anything I've ever offered. So this'll be the last time I try. But at least the girl helping me was nice. read more

They also have clothes and stuff, but that takes a little more patience to sift through. My friends make fun of my for the amount of time I spend shopping at stores like Crossroads(Plato's Closet, Buffalo Exchange, Atlas...) but can't argue with the awesome clothes I find at crossroads!!! The store is always clean and bright (and doesn't smell like an icky thrift store--woo!) and the sales people are super friendly! Another bonus: being a huge clothes-selling addict, I consider myself an expert on stores like this, and in my experience Crossroads has the highest-quality stuff for sale AND gives you the most money for your gently-used clothing! Here is a list of just some of the jewels I've found at crossroads!!! - 2 pairs of UGG boots (one short, one tall) $40 and $30, respectively - BRAND NEW North Face Denali Jacket for $35 - Citizens of Humanity, Seven for All Mankind, and True Religion Jeans for $50-60 each - Dolce and Gabana Wallet for $25 - Coach Tote for $45 - Kate Spade Sungalsses for $30 - Cool accessories up the heezy: scarves, belts, jewelery, all under $10.00! I'm in there at least once a week--the best part about crossroads is that their inventory is always changing--it pays to check often!!! read more

Like shopping for a wedding dress, it's best when you walk into a store with a smaller selection where someone's already removed all the dregs. That's how I felt about Crossroads...nearly everything was something I'd wear. I had about a week of lunching and thrift store browsing in the U District when I was visiting Seattle and this was by far the best used clothing/thrift shop I found in the area. It may not be as large as Buffalo Exchange or as cheap as the Goodwill, but they've already done a lot of the tough browsing for you which makes it much faster and easier to walk out of the store with some solid purchases. read more

This is a well organized, clean, branch of the Crossroads resale chain. I like the prices, the very clear focus and - when selling - their very clear buying policy. Here is a detailed report on my experience selling. I am providing this info for folks who are trying to decide if they should bring items in. Last week I sold five items to Crossroads: a pair of Marc Jacobs pumps, pr of Diesel jeans, pr of Luckys, an American Apparel polo dress and a dressy top by Laundry. I received $35 cash or I could have had a $50 credit. The jury is still out for me whether it was worth it. (call me greedy) I intentionally brought very few items in to try to track their purchasing prices. I brought 10 items in, so they rejected a couple pairs of jags, a pr of Sevens, and a tee. The buyer was fast and pretty friendly, I felt the rejections were okay - if a little mystifying - and I will be selling more stuff next week to see how I fare. I have to give kudos to the staff for being friendly & helpful - so many times you go into consignment/resale places and walk out feeling like dirt. As far as buying, I've found some great stuff here. My kids love Harajuku anything - and we found great prices on those items. I got a fantastic Static-X tee for $6. I went to this place after going to Buffalo Exchange (which is overcrowded, overrated and way too expensive for crappy clothing) and was really excited to find cute clothes at reasonable prices. Even though this location is smaller than the Capitol Hill I have found more items here. I found a pair of Hudson jeans that fit me perfectly as well as an awesome vintage The Police shirt. The shoe selection is also better. I spotted a pair of Manolo Blahnik's (unfortunately nowhere near my size). read more

The people here are amazing! Super friendly, super engaging, very go with the flow. I came here with my girlfriend, women's selection is phenomenal and well priced! Three-quarters of the facility is dedicated to women's attire, and the clothing is in great shape. My name beef with this place, indicative to my experience, is with the men's attire. As stated before, book order of the facility is dedicated to Men's Clothing. But the selection is awful. A lot of the clothing looks old. Even though some of the racks are compartmentalised small medium and large, the sizes are all mixed up and in the wrong spots. I would argue that less than 10% of the 1/4 that is available to men is a fair selection. So that little nub of a percentage that is available to men is ridiculously priced for Crossroads. I found 2 button up short sleeve. One was 20 bucks, the other was 22. The $22 shirt, of course, did not have a price on it. So the thoughtful cashier searched for the computer for about 3 or 4 minutes looking for it, and then just finally some of that $22 was a fair price. I don't know, I'm not a stingy guy. But 20, and $22 for a basic button up piece of used clothing is really excessive. And I was really disappointed overall. Great people, awesome for women, but if you're a dude, your best to stick with, unfortunately, one of the mainstream or more traditional clothing facilities around read more

Ahh college campus consignment stores, how I love thee. There's no better way to find good selection and quality of trendy clothing. Kids spending their parents money (or their student loans) on trendy name brand stuff = consignment stores chock full of great clothes that often have been worn once or twice or not at all. Crossroads tends to take in better quality pieces and fewer ratty t-shirts than Buffalo Exchange, so I tend to like their stores better anywhere in the country. I just moved to Seattle from Chicago and used to shop the Crossroads near Northwestern's campus. Every piece of J Crew, Banana Republic, and the few designer pieces I own came from that store. I was hopeful the U District location here in Seattle would have similar selection - and it mostly does! I always find something here and they will buy it back for very close to what I bought it for if I get tired of it or decide it doesn't look as good on me in the real world as it did in the dressing room. If you're looking for trendy clothes but don't want to buy new, this is a great spot to save money and still look good. read more

Neat stuff can be found here... if you're patient enough to sort through clothing that is not sorted by size and shoes that are almost never labeled by size. I find that incredibly annoying and it greatly reduces the amount of time I spend shopping at Crossroads. You have to flip through hundreds of shirts to find one in your size. It's maddening if you're a 'standard' size but esp. frustrating if someone's with you who's on the small or large end of the spectrum. read more

for a used clothing shop, and for verbally appearing to be so extremely particular with their buy-ins, they sure offer amazing cash and store credit for your clothes. I had just been into redlight, trying clear my closet of MASSES of clothes... most of which were purchased at anthropologie and redlight... ?.... and redlight barely accepted anything! (boo.hoo.) I took my stuff into crossroads, just across the street on broadway, and i ended up with $150 of store credit... have you ever kissed a cashier? well... it's awkward. so, despite the fact that i could SPEND an easy $500 at redlight in one visit (that's truly the ultimate store on the hill... in my VERY humble opinion.), crossroads is definitely the place to visit when you're looking to spring clean that closet... read more

I loooooooove this store. I only recently discovered it and I was so happy to finally find a store with great used clothing! No matter when I decide to stop in, I always find at least one amazing piece. And the quality of the used clothing they sell is usually really good. I love this store. It's a gem. read more

Place is a rip if if your selling your items I brought in a coach purses, Michael Kore purse and Adidas shoes...so they tell u to look around because they want you to find stuff that you like so you can spend more...so they tell u that u get 50%in store credit and 33% cash back....so 30 dollars all I got ...that stuff is at least worth 400 ...don't sell to them only do it on offer up , craigslist, let go or fb read more

Crossroads beats Buffalo Exchange any day in quality of products, organization, ambiance, and price. PROS: 1. So organized! Everything is organized by color. I kinda like it. 2. Such high quality stuff. Most of the stuff looks unworn and brand new. Today I got an Express blazer, and a couple sweaters (Ann Taylor Loft, and GAP). All three were as good as new. 3. You can bargain on prices! Okay, so there was maybe a little tint of something pink on the inside collar of one of my sweaters. I would have paid full price for it, but thought bargaining was worth a shot. They took off 15%. Yay! 4. Lots of designer stuff (Sevens, Citizens, Joe's, Chip n Pepper, etc.). Don't ever pay full price for designer jeans because you can probably find something awesome here. CONS: 1. Only complaint is that the items are not organized by size within color. You never know what size you're grabbing. So the strategy you have to take when browsing is grab what you like first, then check the size. read more

I know that they have one of these on Broadway and I've only ever been in that one once or twice. But I dragged one of my dear friends [ who lives on Broadway and loves it and all the shops and restaurants on it to death ] in here and she proclaimed that it was far better than the one that they have on Broadway. Granted its newly opened and all, but I have to admit it does look nice. Everything is nicely organized and while confusing for me (probably because I'm a little dumb) is easily understandable. Everything is sorted by type of clothes [ s/s, l/s, jackets, jeans, designer jeans and so on ] and then by color. Except for the jeans which are sorted by size (obviously). Its pretty clean and pretty straightforward. The fitting rooms are nice and equally big and come with clean full-length mirrors. They have some seriously cute stuff too, in fact I'll probably go there later to grab a couple more shirts and maybe sell some stuff too. Yay! read more

Went to Crossroads yesterday with a friend. I was so impressed by this store! It was super clean and organized and in my opinion just the right size. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a very successful shopping trip. One thing I will share with you is that I got a pair True Religion"s for $22, a super cute Kenzie Girl gray velour jacket for $8.50, a M KORES belt in white with a huge sliver buckle for $11, and a J Crew hat all for $58 after tax. AWESOME. I totally recommend this place for scoring great deals. Much better than Buffalo Exchange in my opinion. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one had it's nice to be able to go to a store and dig through a mixed selection of clothes and find good deals. However, I see them selling things from places like H&M, Forever 21 & Old Navy for well above the sale price at that retailer. Pros: variety, decent amount of designer items for below the retail or even ebay price, you can score a brand new hoodie here for $15. Cons: not sorted by size (how annoying/time consuming), shoes are not very well organized, the staff. About the staff: I just went to this location today and I was reminded why I've been avoiding goign on in here. The girl at the changing room was guiding all of the other customers up to a room and being perfectly polite, but for some reason I put the grumpy look on her face and she basically just threw a number at me and told me there was a room up there somewhere... thanks? She did this to me twice, no thank you or let me help you or any shred of customer service skill. The cashier wasn't much better, she didn't say anything to me until she asked if I was using debit or credit. Pretty disgusted with the customer service overall. I know it's hard to stand around and look cool and you probably spent a lot of time on that hideous hipster outfit, but do your damn job. At least the Broadway store cashiers attempt chit chat... About selling here: Just like most of these stores, they usually don't buy much, despite quality/tags/ hipness. They offer a couple of dollars for the item you probably paid a decent chunk for. You'll probably leave questioning your taste, given the attitudes of the buyers and despite the quality of much of the clothing on the rack. read more
