Super knowledgeable driver / tour guide (Zack) talks you through the various backlot sets and sound stages with video presentations on the monitors mounted in the cart. There are several stops where you can get off to experience and hear details about shows and movies that used these specific sets. Very interesting seeing the building facades and landscaped grounds and the history of the studio. Our tour included a snack / continental breakfast and a lunch at the Friends Central Perk cafe restaurant. Both offered a decent selection of food and drink items. In the morning they served juices, coffee, tea, water, chips, cookies, danish to munch on before the tour started. Caveat is you only have 15 minutes to relax and enjoy before leaving for the tour. Lunch break happened at the end of our two hour guided tour. The tour package lunch included a hot or cold entree, side dish and drink. We were surprised at the selection and quality of the food. Various hot and cold sandwiches, salads, chips and a full selection of hot or cold, large or small coffee drinks. Even some blended coffee drinks. We ordered the hot Cuban sandwich, Cobb salad and a large iced coffee latte drink. The Cuban was hot but a little bit soggy but still tasty. Cobb salad super fresh and healthy. Coffee drink was solid with creamy topping. After lunch you begin the self guided portion of the tour which is inside stage 48? Where the restaurant was located. Film technology and costumes on display with various interactive display to participate. Harry Potter, Batman, Superman and other blockbuster movies artwork, costumes and videos on display. So much to discover. Easily spent 2 hours in there. Surprisingly they told us we also had entry into the Superman Experience. We did not know this was part of the tour. It is not mentioned in the marketing online. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to skip this. Too bad as I think it is super popular. Regardless the tour was unexpectedly very entertaining and enjoyable. Weather was great not too hot. Highly recommended for folks looking for a break from the theme parks. Totally different in a good way from Universal Studio tour.

Our tour guide, FREDDY, was a wealth of knowledge about the studio, the history, and every movie & TV show imagineable. He brought great energy, humor, and friendliness to the tour. We highly recommend asking for Freddy as your guide if possible. The tour itself was fascinating and fun. There is so much history on the Warner Bros lot. Central Perk cafe was a nostalgic dream come true. Good food at a reasonable price and so much Friends merch. There's an interactive walk-through gallery attached that shows so much history, lets you work a bit on post-production of film scenes, and photo ops with the Friends set and Big Bang Theory. The Superman Experience was incredible! Top Shelf all the way. It's an immersive event- part 3D video game you walk through, and part interactive exploration of the Fortress of Solitude. The area has a really cool bar that serves fun drinks and snacks. Finally we ended up at the self-guided DC Comics/Harry Potter museum where costumes and vehicles were on display. And they added in some cool interactive things to do as well. There's even a Sorting Hat that will tell you which House you belong in. But I protest the hat choosing Slytherin for me. That's BS. After doing some research we decided it'd be a better value to do the big bear lake tour. We had done the waivers online which made check in with Tracey super easy! Our tour was captain Paul which was very informative about big bears rich history. We had our 10 month old baby on the tour which he advised us we'd be getting wet in the front of the boat, we decided to take our changes and stay in front he then offered us some blankets to help keep us and our baby dry and warm which definitely came in handy! If you've never had a big bear lake tour I definitely recommend taking one at big bear Marina definitely learned a lot about big bears history!

It was made of collected recyclables and construction rubble that spanned many decades and took several friends and volunteers to build it. For Michael, however, the lifetime inspiration was first sparked at the age of 9. His love for canons was where it started and the rest is history you can hear about on the tour. The highlight was getting to see the bison close up. Our guide shared interesting stories about the island's past and pointed out several scenic spots along the way. The stop at the Airport in the Sky about halfway through was a nice break to stretch our legs, use the restrooms, and grab a snack before continuing the tour. If you want to see a little more of Catalina than just the waterfront area, I highly recommend this tour.

This is a cool hands on history lesson of the area of Julian, circa 1870…read more Many times we have gone to Julian, many times we have played in the snow, eaten apple pie, had pizza and beer. But somehow we never knew there was a mining history there and that it was very prolific in the 1870s. The tour is worth the cost, and starts with a history of the equipment and the area as well as the information about how the mining equipment and the mine were preserved. There is a demonstration of how to pan for gold, and there is a lot of old equipment as well as a shop with relics, books and western style homestead-ish goods. A nice variety of options. The walk through the mine would have been better with a smaller group where we wouldn't feel rushed. It was cool that down in the mine there is still equipment, and you can view down into the hole where the miners would be lowered to work for the day. The mine is very dark - but also well lit and as your eyes adjust there is no problem watching where you walk and seeing the historic equipment down in the mine. The tour is actually 2 shafts that connect, as you finish one mine area then the tour guide takes you into the other mine shaft and at the end of the tour you exit on the other side of the mountain- pretty cool. You must be mobile, not claustrophobic, this is a child friendly tour but please impress to your kids that listening is key, some portions of the tour it may be more difficult to hear the guide. At one point they lights are turned off so that the guide can demonstrate the use of a candle to iluminate the way, it's a short period but might be scary to young visitors if not reassured. I recommend this tour for tourists, locals, adults and kids - great to learn the history of Julian and the mines that were there during the gold rush. I believe they said - more than 200!
