NICE family owned clothing store with brand names and logo items. Narragansett themed shirts, sweat pants, and Sunblock shirts in all sizes. Short sleeve adult shirts were on sale for $12! Nice children and baby sizes are stocked as well. Prices are moderate to high. Also, there were racks of classic and trendy long & short sundresses and lounge ware. Jam packed shop. Lots of tees and sweatshirts with local logos. I usually enjoy shopping when in town. However yesterday a young employee followed me around the store, immediately refolding every item I looked at, even though I didn't mess anything up. When I asked for another size she had a snippy answer. I left without spending a dime. read more

There were two bins for mismatched top and bottom women's swimwear. My companion picked out one from each. The woman at the register informed us that the bottoms, though individually priced and tagged, were part of a set and we could not buy them. This was confusing because they had no matching top to be found to complete the set, where one of many in the mismatch bin that were alike of brand and style, had an individual tag and price to be sold seperately, and where in the mismatched bucket for individual sale. This same issue happened to us and two other couples in the store for a total of 3 times within 30 minutes. This infers an issue with store policy. Everyone was somewhat dissatisfied, and the woman at the register showed her frustration to the customers which you should never do. I believe her final words where "you're not getting it" with enough salt to spice a walts roast beef sandwich. Bad experience, shaky logic, poor attitude. All sales are final. read more

Crosswynds is a great shop to get discounts on kids, womens, and mens clothing. They also have bathing suits, accessories, jewelry, and shoes. Not too much for kids, but for the others there is a great selection of high end and great name brand clothing at a factory price. The price is reasonable for a small shop with great quality clothing. This place is a great find for college students, teens, and anyone around the area. read more

The staff here is so blatantly rude I cannot believe it. The girls who work here are disrespectful and so unfriendly. The prices are way too high for the clothing you'll buy there, save yourself the time and go shop somewhere else. I was so disappointed bc this shop has the potential to be a great staple in the community but unfortunately this is not somewhere I think I'll keep shopping at or recommend to others. read more

The clothes are comfy and cute, and most are screen printed with funny, local beach-related sayings. Crosswynds has the best quality and quantity sweats in the state. Champion brand and other cozy fabrics in a rainbow of colors and screen prints. Narragansett, Rhode Island, and Bonnet Shores are some of the printed sweats you can get. This is also a gold mine for anyone who is plus size. The racks are filled with new things almost every week, and they even offer a $2 sale during every season change. Who can beat two dollars!? As you can see I don't write reviews so since I am there must be a reason. I have been shopping here my ENTIRE life and never had an issue so this review of based on customer service ONLY. Two days in a row I went into Crosswynds and the SAME girl behind the counter was grouchy as can be. Being a chef, I understand the importance of putting on a happy face if you're being paid to deal with the public. So yesterday I went in and she's texting away on her phone and IIIII say hello to her... nothing. So I ended up leaving and shopped around elsewhere. I didn't find what I wanted anywhere else so I went back today thinking maybe she just had a bad day or it'll be someone else. NOPE! Same thing again today. Never greeted me BUT she sure did speak to the person infront of me in line. I intentionally put my phone call on hold to be rung up and even had a casual conversation with an old school teacher of mine. Not a word from the girl. No did you find everything, would you like the receipt, thank you for shopping with us, have a nice day. NOTHING! Love supporting small hometown businesses but that was absurd and irked me enough to take the time to confirm my account and write this review. So if you know what you want and they have it go for it but don't expect the grumpy girl behind the counter to be the least be helpful or courteous. read more
