WHAT A TREAT, to have caught the entire Amy Sherald exhibit and BAM! I loved this museum, and this…read moreexhibit specifically! My college campus and myself took a trip here for this, and 5/5 would recommend! So enlightening, so thought-provoking, so CHROME. ;) I'm also especially thankful for the guides that walked our group through Amy's pieces, who then were able to describe and confirm the emotions and response she wanted her audience to receive! Love love love this museum, and thank you to my campus for coordinating this.

I came here specifically for the Amy Sherald collection and was not disappointed. There is plenty of street parking and it doesn't cost much. They also have parking lots in case street parking is hard to find (I'm pretty sure it's hard to find street parking during weekdays because its in the JHU area). Check in was super easy. I was lucky enough to secure a free Thursday ticket, otherwise, there is an admission fee for the exhibit. Finding it was super easy because the staff gave great directions. It was crowded but the flow of the space made it not so overwhelming. All of her paintings were beautiful and meaningful. I loved that they included information about the pieces, what made her choose certain colors, how she chose what height the paintings should be placed and a short video of how she started her career and her process of creating. After leaving her exhibit, I wandered off to see other portions of the museum. The collections were beautiful. I didn't get to see everything because it was getting late but I look forward to visiting again soon.

Alexa play "So Easy (To Fall in Love)" by Olivia Dean…read more It's so easy to fall in love with anything that's beautiful, peaceful, and just plain good and that's exactly what Kent Narrows is. There's something about the water, the breeze, and the quiet charm of this area that settles your spirit in the best way. A good friend of mine lives on Kent Island, and honestly, the best way to visit Bridges is by boat. Pulling up to a restaurant by water just hits differently. But don't worry you can absolutely drive here too, and the experience is just as lovely. Restaurants by the water are always a plus, but Bridges brings more than a view. It brings that easy, coastal energy that makes you want to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy where you are. The kind of place where good food, good company, and good scenery all meet at the same table. Bridges Restaurant brings exactly what you hope for when you escape the city for a moment of calm; beauty, peace, and a reminder that life feels better by the water. Service is always great! I literally said this past weekend that this has to become a monthly occurrence! It's too good and too beautiful to just come once a year! Let's get into it! Stuffed Pepper - Amazing!! Thanks to the waitress for hyping these up. Seafood Tacos - Delicious! I would definitely get these again and would try the Mahi Mahi kind or whatever fish they have! So freaking good! Brought Hawaii Maui vibes back. Ancho Rockfish - Fish was excellent, grits were not a fave. Watermelon refresher - YES! These are dangerously good! I'll be back! And soon! Cheers! Perfect day activity for all you love birds! Romantic!

The hostess and waitress were so kind, friendly, and accommodating! They brought out a water bowl for our dog. We ordered the whole oysters flash fried (special of the day), the shrimp and grits, and the shrimp salad sandwich with island fries (upgraded for 3.50). The oysters were fantastic. Freshly fried and super juicy. We loved them. Our sandwich and shrimp&grits took a while to get to us, but worth the wait. The shrimp in the grits were massive. My husband couldn't finish it all. The shrimp salad was stellar. And the brioche bun went so well. I will say the island fries had a spice we didn't love. The queso dip it came with was good. Didn't love the chili aioli it came with. It was weirdly sweet. I'd probably stick to the regular fries next time. Service is a little slower than were use to, but it definitely fit the vibe of the area. Just low key and relaxing. We would definitely come back!
