We grabbed a shady spot under the trees, and Crystal came out right away with warm service and great recommendations. Their wine list includes reds, whites, and rosé, and we loved doing a five‑wine tasting to learn about each variety. They also offer a full cocktail menu made with their own craft brandy, plus house‑brewed beer for anyone who prefers hops over grapes. And there is also food. Farm‑to‑table dishes that pair perfectly with whatever is in your glass. Have had multiple visits over the years seeing this establishment grow and have enjoyed them. However this was fourth and worse igloo visit. It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues. read more

The food was hit or miss - starting with the good, the sausage board was tasty but more of a snack situation and the flatbread looked delicious (and my family said it tasted delicious too) but they were out of all the gluten free options unfortunately. The cheese board was definitely the biggest disappointment - it was $50 and came out just lumped with cheese and meat on two boards. For the price I was expecting something special with the accompaniments they mentioned but it was one of the most basic boards I've been served. Beautiful home and good wine. We did a tasting and later had dinner. The food was good although a bit expensive but service was so bad. Our server had just been hired and he had no watering experience and was serving the outside, downstairs and upstairs dining room all on his own! Very disappointed in our experience tonight. The service was extremely slow and the menu selection disappointing. Last year the menu was excellent and we retuned many times last summer. The crab soup was watery and overly spicy. The ice cream took 30 minutes to arrive in a minuscule plastic cup for $5.00. The fruit salad was good. The last summers we enjoyed the flowers outside and sone were available for sale but non this year. We sat inside and they were not crowded for a Friday Night. Very disappointing . read more

What an absolute Godsend. We are traveling from Virginia Beach up to Connecticut with a 26' U-Haul plus an auto trailer. Finding a place that can accommodate dogs and has ample parking can be tricky especially right off the highway. Incredible experience, and I would highly recommend for a special night out. Our server fully explained the menu options. There was more than enough food for four people. We started with the cheese board and the crab dip. ( more bread or crackers for the crab and cheese board would have been nice) We moved on to the cheese fondue with one skewer of protein per person. 2 chicken and two scallops. My son found the chicken cooked enough, I found it a tad undercooked. The cheese fondue was very good, but I think it was "split" giving it a slightly lumpy texture. There were plenty of potatoes and veggies for four on the platter. We HAD to have dessert, but as stuffed as we were , we ordered for 2. There was more than enough for 4. The melted chocolate was divine!!! We all loved it and will be back again. It was a wonderful evening. read more

We've been here many times and always looked forward to coming back. However, things have definitely changed. The outside setting, music and food may still be what is was (not sure - will check it out.) However, the inside atmosphere has changed drastically! It is now more of a restaurant with a small bar. Period. No inside music ever. You used to be ably to enjoy hanging out with wine and some small bites, maybe play a game or look at old time photos. It's all gone. You can sit and relax in 1-2 small rooms, one of which has a dining table in it, and no more games or pictures. Very disappointed. We came here for a birthday dinner with a reservation on 2/28/2025. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The farmhouse is so pretty and I loved the igloos. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Our server came quickly and took our drink order. They have a watermelon wine and a blueberry wine that I really enjoyed, and I'm not usually a wine drinker. For dinner we got 2 of the fondues for 2. We got 1 with steak, chicken, and cheddar cheese. The other was shrimp, crab balls, and Gruyère. The steak was really tender but undercooked for my liking. They didn't ask how we wanted it cooked. I'm more of a medium steak kinda gal but I feel like this steak was more on the rare side. The crab balls, shrimp, and chicken were really delicious. The Gruyère cheese had the perfect nutty flavor and the cheddar was nice and sharp. Our waitress was really nice and I liked that they provide blankets. Just want to start out by saying the atmosphere of this place was lovely and beautiful. The inside decor was great, the live band outside was wonderful! That's the only reason this place gets 2 stars. The service was horrible, every one who worked here (or the people we spoke to) were incredibly rude. I just changed my license over to become a NY resident so I tried to show them my piece of paper as proof (which they immediately denied, I'm not mad about this because I understand Maryland has state laws) but then I tried to show them my passport and quite literally 5 other forms of ID and they wouldn't give me the time of day. The manager was extremely rude, not just to me but to everyone in our group. I'm 28 years old so that was extremely annoying considering I drove from NY that day for this dinner party. Anyways, they then rush us and told us we needed to order quickly because the kitchen closed at 8 (like why did they agree to do a large party dinner reservation at 7:30 and then rush us to order?) then after we ordered they came back and said they would hold off till 8:30 (after we already ordered) and then they forgot my dinner!! I was the only one not eating, everyone was already done with their food by the time my flatbread came out. Visited the Windmill Winery with some girlfriends and reserved the Igloos for a group of 4. We arrived early to explore the winery and take photos for the gram Our first stop was to the bar to order some wine flights along with a small charcuterie board. The boards are meant for one but we were eating dinner later so we were ok with the size. While drinking our flights a guitarist was playing a mix bag of music which I love. Hate when they play one genre. We decided to go outside before dark to enjoy the outdoor seating with a swing, firepits, a photo frame with beautiful flowers around the frame. Prefect for taking photos. I understand a young lady (Cheri) changes up the pops depending on the season. Great job Cheri. After our many photo ops we enter our heated Igloo. When entering the Igloo we could hear the music from the guitarist which was great. There were blankets on the side in case we got cold. The tables had tablecloths with wine glassware along with ceramic plates. So happy to see no plasticware. We ordered a few items from the menu: crab dip, hummus and the fondue with meat and veggies. I LOVED visiting Windmill Creek this summer! I've been to almost 100 wineries now, and this one would easily be in my top ten. The atmosphere at Windmill Creek is perfection. It's a gorgeous old Victorian farmhouse that has been renovated so that you're able to grab a glass and relax in whatever room you choose (there are formal sitting rooms, hidden nooks and crannies, and even a child's bedroom). It's like visiting a museum you get VIP access to explore! The grounds are equally marvelous - they have the most beautiful wine garden, a picture perfect old rope swing, and an outdoor bar. The wines themselves were also very good - I ended up getting the Chamborcin for myself. My only complaint is that it's too far for me to go for a day trip. read more

On this night they had vendor booths selling everything from jewelry to popcorn, also they had live music which seemed very popular. We dined inside again at our favorite table, we ordered our favorites the crab dip, a cheeseburger, fries, a crab salad sandwich, and peanut butter pie- all amazing! My husband and I came in for lunch yesterday and LOVED the food: our choices on this week's menu were Greek salad, shrimp salad wrap and a turkey and Brie sandwich on cranberry bread. If you're looking to take a break from your usual OCMD activities, Windmill Creek is the perfect place to do so! My friends and I came by on a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly, it wasn't all that busy. Upon arrival, we went straight to the bar (at the entrance of the house) to order. All three of us ended up getting the dry wine flight, but there was also a sweet wine flight, individual wines, and a strawberry slushy. The flight came on a cute little paddle with 5 varieties - two whites, one rose, and two reds. We decided to take them outside to explore the grounds. There was SO much cute outdoor seating - picnic tables, fire pits, a swing, etc. I can totally see this place being a great venue for events and weddings. There were also fluffy chickens roaming around the property, which were so cute. However, we ended up attracting bees with our wine, so we quickly went back inside and finished our drinks in one of the sitting rooms. After this, we explored the old house, which was beautiful. It really did feel like traveling back in time and we had lots of fun taking pictures. Overall, I highly recommend this unique and relaxing experience. read more

The Garden Grill deserves TEN stars!! We went for the first time yesterday and I can't even find the words to describe the very best shrimp salad AND crab salad I have ever had! The woman at the truck was incredibly friendly and just plain nice. I can not wait to go back! The setting was magical, beautiful greenery, trees, lawn, gravel road, band under a canopy of trees. Historic house with play room and hidden passages. I tasted 2 wines and loved them both. I'll need to go back for the others. Got there at 7.40pm and there was more effort / energy put into telling us the "food truck" closed at 8:00pm than taking our order. Kid trying to deliver our food walked around and around in circles while I tried to flag him down so by the time we got our food, it was cold. We didn't have any silverware and I guess it was a hassle to get us some? Food is incredibly overpriced (and we live in DC so I'm used to paying high prices). A chicken tender sandwich was $15 and a $3 up charge to have fries as side which was not made clear. Website says it's open and serves wine until 8:30pm but by 8pm they were clearly done. We reserved 2 igloos for a group of 12. We arrived at 4:30 but we couldn't go to the igloos until 5 so we walked around the house which was cute and interesting. We ordered a few flights of both dry and sweet. I didn't really like any except the watermelon sweet wine. I was pleasantly surprised that both the cheese and dessert fondue were fantastic. Very tasty meats, the cheese and chocolate were hot and really good. It was a nice day so we were really comfortable in the igloos. I was happy to learn that we could order from the full menu in the igloos! Our servers were all really attentive but Justin stood out. I have to say.... It is a fine Venue and Winery. Last Friday was our first time since last year,,, was disappointing as far as the food went. My husbands beef brisket sandwich was very skimpy, thin and really NOT worth it at all. AND the service was not good. If you have that amount of people at your venue.... Offer more food trucks. We are comparing it the foods we had gotten in the past, that we're AMAZING. The flavor, quality and taste. Not being able to bring your own cheese and crackers was a huge change and not good, if you don't offer it. Cheese and wine goes with wine. DUH The Ambiance was great!!! We reserved an igloo for our anniversary dinner at 4pm. We arrived about 10 minute early, and were given a buzzer, but we weren't seated until around 4:10pm. It cost $50 just to reserve, and this fee is not applied to any food/beverage total. Overall, it was a fun and unique thing to do, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, and we won't come back. The igloo was not worth the separate $50. Ours was covered in dust (it was hanging off the chandelier and our portable heater was covered in dust) and half of the bulbs on our light strand were burned out. Everything was served in to-go containers with plastic plates, except for real wine glasses. For $50, I would have liked better upkeep of the igloos. I understand the necessity of disposable plates/containers, but wish they at least used the faux crystal plastic plates they use at weddings/banquets to at least feel "fancier." Eating out of the to-go containers made us feel like we were at home with a Door Dash order, not at a winery for our anniversary dinner. The food was okay. The igloos had a special menu, but we wish they had the same menu as the Garden Grille because their entrees looked much better. I was very excited about the fondue, because it is my favorite food, so we planned on ordering the entree and dessert fondue as our meal. At the time we booked our igloo, I could only find one picture of the fondue dinner online, but it looked SO good so I was excited. However, the day of our reservation, I checked recent reviews and the pictures of the fondue looked NOTHING like that original photo...it looks like they are very inconsistent with the fondue, and we did not think it would be worth the $55, so we passed. We instead ordered the crab dip, extra veggie dippers, the soft pretzel, and two glasses of wine to start. We did get the dessert fondue to finish. Once again, what we were served looked nothing like the fondue picture I saw online. It was served in a small container. We got 4 small strawberries cut in half, and the chocolate tasted like those Wilton chocolate melts microwaved and poured directly into our to-go container. We did love the toasted marshmallows though! Overall, we spent $150 on this experience, and we both agreed we would've rather spent that money at a nicer restaurant. We are not local, so we also drove 3 hours and paid for a hotel overnight to come to this igloo experience, so it was not worth the price. Our reservation was 4pm-6pm, but by 7:30pm we were hungry again and went out to dinner at a nice restaurant in Ocean City. We reserved an igloo for 6 people at 4pm this afternoon. Our time slot was supposed to be from 4-6pm. We started off our experience with the sweet wine flight. The watermelon wine was delicious. We waited awhile for our server to come back but she finally did which was at 4:45. When she came back, we ordered our appetizers. We got crab dip which was also tasty but could have had a little more old bay. At this point, we were slightly concerned for our time since she just taken our appetizer order and only had an hour 15 left in our reservation. The food comes out pretty quickly though. Our main course, which was the fondue for two, arrived at 5:30. Again, concerned for our time because now we only had 30 minutes to eat and we wanted to try the dessert. The main course fondue included steak, shrimp, cold sliced potatoes, brussel sprouts. For the cheese we chose gruyere. The steak and shrimp were marinaded to perfection. The potatoes lacked flavor and.... heat. We then ordered the dessert fondue and it arrived at 5:51. This is not something that I would ever spend $30 on again. It included a variety of sweets and milk chocolate. I think it's important to note that all food is served in disposable takeout boxes. As we were finishing up and waiting for our server, Sandy, to return with our check another gentleman walked by us waving his hands and shouted in a harsh tone "come on guys, we have to flip this table! We have to flip this table". This unfortunately ended our night on a bad note considering we waited for our server to take our order and we hadn't even gotten our check yet. We let our server know of his comment and she said he didn't know what was going on. That's fine... but an apology would have been nice from either Sandy or the other worker. Lastly, it was a hassle to get our check split 3 ways. Each of us got essentially the same thing but recieved complaints when asked to split. We ended up sorting the items out for her on the back of the bill. No problem. When our server saw the back she said "holy moly, ok". Another person in my party offered to pay for the whole bill to avoid the hassle but Sandy said it was fine. I asked her if they typically don't split checks there and she confirmed they do this often and it was no problem. I told her it seemed as though it was a problem to split the checks. We went for dinner and wine. Many great food reviews so we had high hopes for it. Unfortunately June is a month they are in between wines so the two we really wanted (chardonnay and blueberry) they didn't have. The food we ordered (a crab salad sandwich, hush puppies, the flatbread pizza and a burger) wasn't great. It was just mediocre. Not really worth the price of the food. The location is nice though and we loved sitting out listening to the live music they had. The wine was alright- nothing we were blown away by but we enjoyed our time. read more

Great day even though it was pouring. The venu is in a house and it's beautiful. Really enjoyed being able to go anywhere in the house to enjoy our wine. There was live music and a good truck! My only thing is that we had two flights of wines and I didn't like about half of them. Did really like the Wildflower. read more

Cute winery, and inexpensive. You get a tasting of 5 wines I believe for $5. We didn't really love any of the wines, but it was a nice outing for our time in Ocean City. The farmhouse is really cute and upon arrival they give you your first tasting and you can tour the house on your own. When you return you get the rest of your tastings, and you can sit inside or outside. Be careful about sitting outside, a fly landed in my wine at one point. The staff is also very friendly. read more
