Some of the wines available at the store

This wonderful shop located off of Talbot Street in St Michael's is a little bit of gluten-free heaven on Earth. This shop has awesome gluten-free Italian food that are hard to find anywhere else. They have - for example - gluten-free panettone! Is that awesome or what! I attach a few photos of the panettone. The panettone has an orange flavor. I really like it because it is sweet but not overly sweet. It has orange zest and raisins. And they will ship food straight to your house! I have found their service is very prompt. They usually ship your order a few days after you place the order. They have an entire gluten-free section in their store including a nice selection of gluten free pasta and cookies. They also have a lot of sauces and other gourmet items like olives stuffed with tomatoes, pestos, grilled artichokes in sunflower oil, and risotto mixes, that are gluten free but they are not in the gluten-free section. The owner is very knowledgeable about the items in her store. She speaks like she has personally tasted every single item in the store. And she is also very well aware of what items are gluten free. One member of the staff at the store is herself a celiac so she can tell you from personal experience which items are gluten free. It's a destination worth visiting if you are in the St. Michael's area. Be sure to bring a big car if you can because you might want to buy a lot of things when you're here. They also have very hard to find Italian wines that are really yummy. To purchase the wines you must visit the shop in person. They are not able to ship the wines. Most of the wines are $20 or less and they are great. Many are limited production runs you cannot find anywhere else in the US. There are also free wine tastings at the shop. All the wines we tasted the day we visited were of exceptional quality. And if you're in the area go down the street a few blocks and visit the gluten free bakery girl. That is a 100% gluten free bakery which is really awesome.

There are lots of gifty stores on the main drag, N. Talbot Street, in Saint Michael's but I think this is one of the best! I particularly enjoyed looking at the kids section including the various stuffed animals, toys and games. I couldn't help myself from flipping through some of the Priscilla Cummings books as I remember when she visited my school as a kid. I've been a fan of Chadwick the Crab ever since! I also liked looking at the various products from the J.O. Spice Company. I come from a family of commercial crabbers and this might come as a shock to some but JO, not Old Bay, is our preferred crab seasoning. But J.O. isn't just for crabs and they offer spice blends and other stuff like chicken rubs, crab cake mixes and steamed shrimp seasoning. Aside from the above, I also enjoyed looking at cards, soaps, Scout bags, novelty salt and pepper shakers and such. The employee, perhaps the owner, was friendly and welcoming as most people are in this quaint town nestled along side the Miles River. This was definitely a fun stop!

There are beautiful themed trees (cooking, food, western, boating, pets, brides & much more) and multiple items related to Christmas. The average price is $3.50 to $22.00. I had to focus on gifts or I could have purchased all the farm related ornaments. The upstairs area has Halloween and sale items. The water/boating related items are especially cute. Aside from that, this store much like any other that is a Christmas decor spot, was super cute:) The ladies who are running the shop were very friendly and were constantly asking if my hubby and I were okay and or had any questions. I landed on getting my daughter a bacon Christmas ornament. Super cute, and since she is obsessed with Bacon it was perfect! There are so many options I literally looked at every single Christmas tree they had set up. I think overall I was more impressed with the time and energy that goes into setting up each specific theme Christmas tree. The best example is the one that I took a picture of lt was a junk foodies delight. There was also a white one that was a nautical theme , very very cool. The store is very well organized and laid out perfectly. if I'm ever in this area again I will definitely be back.
