I bought an aerator for my kitchen sink. It did not solve my problem. Which was low water pressure. I went to Ace with the exact thing in my hand I needed. This store is definitely those things and it's also packed with helpful staff who kindly asked if I needed any help as I browsed the aisles. We went to Crowder Brothers hardware to change the remote battery for my car. This is the third time they have helped us do this. Toby was excellent in taking care of us. It is a tricky remote battery remote to change and he managed to do it in an expert manner. Toby said he welcome the challenge. He was most gracious and we were very appreciative. I ordered a door from Ace on line, was the wrong door, called Ace, was told to bring it to the nearest store for a return, ordered the correct door same day, returned door the next day, refund issued same day, received Email my new door was in Saturday, went to pick door Tuesday, was told my order was cancelled, manager said door was still there, the return door credit was immediate, however no credit for supposed cancelled order, took info, receipt, pic of credit card statement, manager or duty said I would have to pay again for the door, I showed him I received no credit , I called him "dude" he got very upset, was in my face and threw me out of the store. What can Ace do?? teach employees how to defuse a situation. This manager was insinuating that I was trying to scam Him out of a 190$ door. I spend at least 100$ per month at this Ace due to the fact it is the closest Hardware store to where I live. I will not be going back to Crowder Bros Ace. read more

This being an Ace brand, it excels at service, has slightly higher prices than Home Depot, sports a smaller selection of outdoor and garden materials, but also offers some cool lifestyle and gift choices. Don't buy propane here. They charge a flat fee per bottle. I have always paid per gallon of propane. If I have one empty bottle and want to top off my second bottle why do I want to pay a flat fee. read more

As soon as you walk in there is someone to direct you to what you are looking for. Lots of staff members around the store for help. Crowders is attached to Ace and has lots of novelty items and brands such as Vera Bradley, Brighton, etc. Great place to pick up knick-knacks and gifts. read more

What's to say this hardware store has everything that you need if you can't find it here, short of lumber, then you can't find it anywhere else. The gift shop is ok I find the the attendants there are a tad bit pretentious. I come here because it is closer to my home than the other big box stores. Their prices are a little higher than Lowes or Home Depot but that's the price that you pay for location. If I could suggest one thing, it would be for the workers to lay off the incessant badgering. read more

I "tried" to do a simple return on a defective travel mug I got as a gift. I asked for a store credit and was told I couldn't get one. I needed to contact the company that made the mug. What? They implement a policy when a hurricane threatens in which they will not take returns on any item they can call "hurricane " related. This vague policy allows them to basically classify most items as hurricane related and deny the community they say they serve refunds whether is actually is an item used to prepare for for the storm. Be forewarned that if a storm is threatening the area, make sure any item you buy from this store is something that you can use as it will not be taken in exchange or return. A very deceptive policy that preys on the fear and panic of the community in times of high stress. I highly recommended you take your business elsewhere where they have a more understanding policy. Response: It was chaos in the store that day and the items I bought I specifically asked sales associate if they were incorrect could I bring them back since the ones I needed were out of stock. He told me if they were incorrect that I could. When I came back to return them an older gentleman who I believe was in charge yelled at me from across the store....without even coming over to see what the situation was, that there were no returns as they items I purchased were considered hurricane supplies. I tried to explain and he wanted no part of it and turned and walked away. In my business I deal with parts purchasing daily and dealing with customers. This was a jerk move and this is why poor customer service produces terrible reviews and me wanting to share this with everyone I know. Trust me, I will never purchase anything from you again and I have shared this experience with my friends and neighbors. It didn't have to go this way and the manager could have discussed it with me like an adult and it could have be resolved. read more

I have been going to this store since it opened. They have it all. I have bought many BBQ grills and accessories and home repair equipment over the years..The store has been great until I had to return something after two weeks the other day. The manager happened to be the the one handling the $9.95 return and he was obviously upset with me. Very short tempered and rude. Didnt get his name. Day manager during the week.
