I asked him to tell me the size so I could run to Lowes to get one for him to install. He gave ne the size and I drove and purchased the size he indicated. I took the new filters down to place them near the furnace for the next change, and found that he had put an oversized filter in the slot, leaving 5 inches protruding from the filter slot. This is shoddy work. He was too lazy to measure the correct filter size, and took a shortcut so he could leave. I measured the filter slot for the correct size, and did the trip back to Lowes for the proper filter. I wouldn't recommend them.

I just can't see how this company can justify that amount of money? BTW, Dan, my now main heating guy, came out on Monday and was able to do a temporary FIX for a $125!!! A year after we moved into this house our HVAC system died and they replaced it with a Carrier which worked great for 16 years (low end of the expected life) until it died last December on the second 5 degree night we had. We really needed some heat! We are on the JBAC annual maintenance plan and the tech came out at 10 PM and said, yep, it's dead. (Luckily we had a gas fireplace to keep us from freezing.) Estimator came the next day, showed us some options, and the day after that a crew came out and installed a hybrid gas/heat pump system which has worked great for the past 8 months. I enjoyed the annual maintenance included with the JBAC plan, and it has more or less paid for itself in reducing or eliminating service fees for other issues. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was about 10 years ago they installed a pricey UV air purifier unit (my wife had asthma) which died a few weeks after the warranty ran out. Hopefully they don't continue to peddle bad products, but the rest of their work has been great and they are always polite and friendly.

The tech that arrived had no idea of how to service the Noritz. He reviewed my Manuel but left it leaking. Worse, is that he soaked my faucet head in vinegar and dribbled it all over the marble entry way. It has ruined the marble and it is not repairable. After removing the shower head and faucet, the plumber could not install a comparable style unit, so took off for a few days. When he returned, I bought a temporary unit so I could shower. Then threw this outfit off my property. Noritz denies that D'Amico is an authorized vendor and installer. They recommended an alternate which corrected all of my problems. I was left with having paid nearly $400 to D'Amico, out the cost of the temp hardware, and they were not willing to repair or replace my damaged entryway. Final insult is a snotty attitude. You can definitely find a better place to get plumbing services and products.
