We have had this place on our list. These guys won best burger a few years ago so they are on our radar. We finally found ourselves by one and took advantage. Parking. Outside right in front on the street. Walked in and it's a cute little divey type bar. We sat ourselves in a booth and were greeted a few minutes later. Menu is typical for a bar and they have daily specials. But not on a Friday and Saturday so we were out of luck. Since they are know for the burger we decided that was our choice. 2 smash burgers with grilled onions, burger sauce, cheese, and we added pickle. Burger came promptly about 10 mins later. I got to tell you this burger was delicious! No lie! It was crispy on the edges and moist and flavorful in the middle. The crispy edges were amazing. Plus it's big. I ate 1/2. It comes with fries. But you can get tator tots too. I got the fries. They are the coated kind. I'll be honest I am not a fan of coated fries. Should have gotten the tator tots. Those were better. But didn't know. Next time I do. There are a few locations. And other restaurants under this ownership in the area. I guess the ownership is throughout the far east side, we spoke to the server and she said they are good people and have good reputation too. That's good. Stopped in for lunch since we like the Eastlake location- hoping that this location had as good a smash burger as Eastlake.... We are happy to report that this Crowley's is a winner also The bartender Sharon also took care of the tables on the floor. There was a family having lunch along with several sitting at the bar- and Sharon easily took care of everyone and made sure we were all happy. I had the Tortilla Soup and it was good. The Smashburger was delish and the food came out fast and hot. The atmosphere and decor are similar to the one in Eastlake. We will definitely recommend this spot when anyone needs a good burger in the area read more

Dinner at Crowley's Dive Bar Painesville was a huge success last night. Self seating but greeted right away. Got our drinks quick and ordered right away. My wife had the daily special, French Onion soup and loved it. I got the soft pretzels, again but they're so good. We both got the Burger Special "The Last Italian Hero" and it looked great. It tasted even batter!! She got the standard fries, always good. I got the Tots & they were so crispy. Overall a great meal!! 10 of 10. read more

They have blatz and heilemans old style. I've been here a couple of times and they call themselves a dive bar which they may indeed be. But that's not a slam in any way. We stopped at Tuesday night and the place was packed it was wing night 75 cent wings but yes I'm old enough to remember when they were 10 cent wings LOL. Our server, Tatum had waited on us before and it was nice to see they don't rotate through employees. As we mentioned we got a couple blatz beers, and ordered some cheese curds çevappi and nachos. Yes we eat everything and we're disgusted with ourselves because we ate everything LOL! Food wait times are just a few minutes as busy as they were. The wings were all drums so if you're a flat fan you might be out of luck I don't know if they had flats maybe they did maybe they didn't but I like drama so I didn't care. We took the King's corner which is a large table and is right by this vending machine that sold those rip and tear lotto tickets which people are addicted to it was kind of fun watching people win a couple hundred bucks. Overall music was a nice background they had a hockey game on TV overall which is a great place to hang out. The City also made the road in front of Crowley's a one-way Street which allowed for more parking. Overall I really enjoy this place. read more

What an awesome addition to Painesville. This is Crowley's newest restaurant making 3 total locations. This bar has dive bar vibes and makes awesome food. They are famous for their smash burgers but for our first visit to this location we tried their fish sandwich and po boy. Both sandwiches were served with crispy French fries and were absolutely divine. The service we received from our bartender was amazing and we had no complaints. If you're ever in the Painesville area definitely pay a visit to Crowleys, you won't regret it. read more

Burger, wings, and pretzel were reported as good! Fries were not shoestring and the hotdog ordered online was the wrong hotdog provided in order. So check your orders before leaving establishment. Will attempt to eat in next time to give this place another chance. read more

My husband got us Hatch Chilli Pepper burgers from here and boy were they good! I got mine without cheese! The fries were warm and fresh! If you want to try a really good burger I recommend going here! Their takeout is great too! read more

Good God, don't go here on Tuesday's, it's after 8:30pm and they are allowing kids to do Karaoke, they are just screaming in the microphone. Not very relaxing. A special thanks goes out to the parents that allow their kids up there without any regard for the other patrons. HEY Crowley's how about some sort of rules. Definitely will not be back on Tuesdays. Also your place is simply too small for decibel level occurring in there. It appears that Crowley's in Painesville is the Applebee's of dive bars. Service was good, tacos were good unfortunately they were part of Cleveland Taco Week 2026 and not on the regular menu. read more

Excellent beer prices,Good smash burgers but a little to much black pepper,fries, onion rings,cheese curds all very good but sauce for O rings way to much pepper.My wife wanted coffee but they don't even have a coffee maker. Most Dive bars serve coffee and or espresso. Service very good the whole crew of bar tenders are very tentative to the bar and tables. The chef needs to lighten up on the use of black pepper. read more
