Good food is a priority here. I'm very finicky and I eat clean, Whole Foods. I avoid gluten and industrial seed oils. I normally get their blue burger without a bun. It comes on a bed of lettuce, tomato, red onion. I up charge to add a salad for $1.99. And the best part... These are all pre-Covid menu items and prices! The atmosphere is so conducive I can't say enough good about it. I love that they have high tops, but I'm short so the round regular tables and chairs fits me perfectly and everybody can see everybody at the table and have a cohesive conversation. The The management and staff are remarkable. Mike is a hands-on manager and my favorite server is Olivia. She is hands-down, the most attentive and pleasantly professional server in the region. Best Buffalo Wings!!! I live in the Cleveland area and stopped by here with my family to catch the end of a Frowns game while we were on the road. The service was great and the food phenomenal. I love chicken wings and these were some of the best I've had. I also recommend the potato skins, they were massive. My only criticism would be that the food took slightly longer than expected to arrive but it was pretty busy. The building was very clean with many giant tvs and a nice bar. We have only been to this place 2x - we are from out of town but come to Mentor area yearly! I don't know HOW this only has a 3 star review! Both times the food was top level - memorable to come back the second time after a year! Best juicy burgers! Crispy waffle fries! I tried to use an app for pick up - we parked waited 25 min - I went in cuz I wasn't sure - I'm not a regular on the app I used- My card got charged and found out it was cancelled when I went to pick up - Had not really a reason why. Anyway Casey ( waitress) and Brian (manager) took care of us. We sent people there yesterday ( there was a big assembly Sat/Sun in Willoughby) they loved it too! We stopped by for an early dinner today before going to an escape room around the corner. We went at 4pm on a Friday, which wasn't busy at all. We had a table of 5 and service flowed smoothly. I like how large their menu was since a lot of restaurants downsized after Covid. Our waitress was very attentive, without making us feel rushed. Our table ordered a wide range of food. I ordered a side salad and a side of Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious, especially the Mac. It was very filling which was surprising for a side portion. I barely had room for my salad. Andrew ordered the Texas Boy with a side salad. He wasn't able to finish his burger, but he said he could've used extra sauce. Someone else ordered the same burger, but she decided to use lettuce in place of buns. I love when restaurants are able to make accommodations like that. My mom ordered loaded fries and a cup of chili. She wasn't able to finish her food either. We all experienced our first cup of chili with onions on it tonight! The last person ordered a wrap with a side salad. She went home with a ton of food. If you're looking to get the biggest bang for your buck, I'd definitely suggest coming here. The service and food was the worst I've experienced in a long time. Bad choice by stopping here on a road trip. When we had a wait 20 minutes to be sat on a weeknight with many empty tables it should have been our first clue. Terrible overcooked fried food. Could not even eat and waitress nowhere to be found. Management is horrible. They fire employees with no warning via text. Unfounded reasons and lies right before the holidays.

It was our first time here and we were really looking forward to a great experience (me, husband and 2 adult kids) but were sadly disappointed. Our server was very upbeat, but sadly was a no show for most of our experience. We had to flag down other servers for napkins, silverware, extra dressing (caesar salad good but needed more). Unfortunately our server also was in charge of a very large party of children and their parents who took up almost our whole section of the restaurant. I am not kidding when I say there must have been twenty small kids (around 7 or 8 years old) who were having the time of their lives seated by themselves (their parents sat at separate tables) and we literally could not hear ourselves talk. They were shouting the entire time. Sadly, I am not exaggerating. I have raised 4 of my own kids so I'm no stranger to excited kids but these parents and also restaurant staff had no regard for other diners. Our server came by half way through dinner to check on us, said something about the large party leaving soon, and then never came back. We had to flag down other employees to bring us to go boxes and the check. I did mention to one server that the noise in our section was deafening and he said there was nothing he could do. The food was actually very good, but sadly we will NEVER be back. Clearly our business didn't matter to this establishment. I can't remember the last time I complained about a restaurant! I am easy to please and have raised 4 kids, one with severe Autism so I don't sweat the small stuff usually but this was a horrible experience. While I am so glad this bar was able to stay open during COVID, i feel like they should close permanently at some point. The atmosphere was awesome, definitely a local bar spot, there's games in the back corner, very friendly staff..but you're here for a food review right? for starters, their chorizo dip came out cold, like they pulled it out of the fridge and popped it in the microwave and not for long enough. The chips served were stale. Second, i ordered wings and fries, and while the fries were good ( i mean how could you screw up fries), the wings were some of the worst ive ever had. There was no crisp, no crunch, not enough sauce. No celery sticks, nothing. It was so bland. My kids didnt eat their kids meals which said a lot for me, staff was good though but thats honestly as far as i'd take it. Theres a quaker steak up the road, save your money and time. read more

I've eaten at a lot of restaurants throughout the United States, some I have traveled to exclusively for the restaurant or the cuisine but this is not a restaurant I would go out of my way to travel to nor is Mentor, Ohio a destination for foodies to flock to. Although this restaurant had a physical layout that differed from a Chilis or TGIFridays or whatever other chain American style food joint you are familiar with this is the same spot. I'm guessing their kitchen has three staple items in it; a freezer, a deep fryer, and a microwave. They do have beer though and with enough of that anything is palatable. A fellow yelper & friend & I decided to eat here after our first visit to Menards. The hostess was a little curt & I was worried that our dining experience was going to be effected. We then were approached by a very friendly waitress who informed us that it would be just a few moments because they were in the middle of shift change. After a brief time, she returned to let us know that she was going to be our waitress since the other girl was running late. It was our lucky day!! Stopped in for a couple drinks and the buffalo chicken dip. The "ticket was missed"...translation..."I forgot to put it in". Being a former bar manager I expressed understanding however our drinks were dry for two drinks worth. This review should be better but it's not. Manager here tonight shouldn't be allowed to manage vending machine. And definitely shouldn't be talking to customers. Bartenders were excellent and prompt. Decent beer selection, pretty good variety of bar food. Good place to watch sports games. This last visit I made a terrible mistake ordering the Tsunami burger. Oy. Wth was I thinking? I was looking for a Hawaiian type burger with pineapple but obviously didn't read all that was on it. There were pieces of steak ON the burger. I thought it was a steak burger when I read "steak" in the description. Also, they put fries on it - pourquoi? And an egg - which I had them leave off because there's a time and place for egg on burger and that was not it. Anywhoo, too much stuff going on and so unnecessary and a waste. I've had wings, wraps and salads before, so I know food is not that terrible. Next time I'm sticking to something less stupid. Service - waitresses have usually been nice, but some of the bartenders are not the friendliest bunch, but whatevs. read more
