A long day of various stops. Our previous stop had way too many people to sit and enjoy a bite to eat.. we forged on when we found refuge at Crowley's tavern. Our first time here and new spot to try. Walked in not too crowded. Welcoming and friendly service. Our server was outstanding taking good care of us from start to finish. Placed our order and great Scott! The megadeth beefy burger was exceptional!! one of the best burgers by far in the area. Toasted buns top and bottom, juicy, melty, grilled with lettuce that doesn't slowly slip away with each bite. You have to grip it with both hands. A pepper and cornichon topper with that side of pickle the perfect acid you need to cut through all the richness. The fries were oh so crispety crunchety. You would never know how good this thing is till you've tried it. We also tried the kings of Leon Nashville chicken sandwich and that was also good. They have high top tables and bar seating. Pool tables and lounge couches. Pool was $1 per game or 6 games for $5. Great spot to hang out and enjoy a game. Tvs mounted throughout and a juke box to pick some of your favorite music. Stopped by on the 7th for a night cap with my wife. Bartenders took about 10 minutes to greet us at the bar which was not full. Bartender was taking care of her regulars which I understand. Took our order and got our drinks and was very short and unwelcoming. So we decided to quickly finish our drink and leave. Bartender was not happy with us leaving either which was strange. Anyways I left a $2 tip for the very little service we received in those 15 minutes, but before I left I snapped a pic of my receipt because I had a feeling the bartender might do something shady. First time I've been to a bar and was actually insulted by the tip I left. And I tip fairly well to all waitresses that provide an overall good experience and attention to detail service. I guess when waitresses feel entitled to a bigger tip they should focus on the service overall and not talk to the regulars for 30 mins and maybe they would be appreciated more. Also, don't need drinks bought for me so they can expect a something in return right away. Thanks but no thanks. Remember, if you give the friendly banter, be prepared to receive it back. Don't have an attitude about it. Some like to dish it but can't receive it back. I'll gladly 86 myself from going to this place. I'd like to give this place 5 stars but it all depends on who is behind the bar... My boyfriend and I pop in every now and then, we like this spot, but service is hit or miss as we've come on multiple girls shifts. We came in yesterday (Thursday) twice. The day girls weren't very welcoming. We shot some pool and then the shift change came in. We closed our tab so we could tip the day girls. As soon as Amanda came in she was sweet and warm before even getting behind the bar. My bf and I left, but decided to come back later in the night. Karaoke was going, there was maybe 20-25 people in the bar for the two bartenders on shift . It took quite a while to get our drinks. It didn't take long to notice that it was definitely a one man team last night. Amanda was doing all the grunt work, while the other girl lived her best life singing karaoke, talking only to patrons she knew and jumping on multiple men. I definitely felt for Amanda, having to split tips with people who don't carry an equal workload suck! Thank you Amanda! You were the sweetest! We will definitely look out for your shifts! We came one time to get to know some friends a little more but it was super super loud. Cool quick hang out or single hang but not a place to be intimate with a group of friends. Heather served us and I gotta say, she was one of the most down to earth, positive and outgoing bartenders we have ever met, she definitely makes you feel welcomed. I came in for taco Tuesday. Was having great service, and great food. When a group of about 5-6 ladies and one gentleman came in already drunk, began treating the bartender with a large amount of disrespect. When the bartender heard the drunken insults from the women, the bartender respectfully asked them to leave. The belligerence by said party continued until they realized they weren't getting anywhere and went into the parking lot and began yelling as people walked by. After about 30 minutes of parking lot yelling they drunkingly got in their cars and drove away. The staff here has the patience of angels. It's one of my favorite local bars; they have bomb pizza, cold beer, and good music! My husband and I have gone on different days, but I prefer to go while Chrystal is working because she takes care of us right away and has the best attitude.
