I absolutely love this pizzeria. A month or two ago, I reached out to the owner after feeling frustrated with some inconsistency in the quality of pizza following a change in management. The owner got back to me right away and genuinely listened, promising to look into the issues I had experienced with my last four orders. Since then, I've been ordering periodically including Super Bowl Sunday and now Valentine's Day, and I can honestly say the difference shows. Every pizza has been consistently delicious with great flavor, a perfectly cooked crust, and a team that clearly cares about delivering quality pizza and customer service. Even with a new pizzeria opening in town that's backed by a well known chef, Antonio Pizza continues to stand out. The quality they're putting out feels Michelin star worthy. We have been coming to this pizza place for more than 8 years. Yesterday was a total let down. My husband bought our once a month pepperoni pizza reward ( due to health issues arising from getting old, we started to cut back on eating them). We were surprised how the quality changed. The dough is not the same. It is thicker than before and the flavor is off. We really miss the old recipe. I hope they change it back or we might totally stop getting our pizza here. My daughter also complained that every time she orders her pizza over the phone, she doesn't get the pizza on the 15 minute wait time they told her. Pizza was delicious! My kids loved it and the hot wings were perfect amount of spice! We don't like buffalo wings to be too hot and they were perfect. I saw that Antonio pizza was rated highly on Yelp. It's located in the Mission Grove Plaza which is a bit of a maze with 4 different strip malls in the Plaza. This one is located behind Cookie Co. It has plenty of parking. I ordered my food online. When I arrived, the were 2 people ahead of me. They must me short staffed today, a Saturday afternoon, because the guy was visibly upset and frustrated. He was fine with me and all customers. The order online would be ready at 110pm. The guy said give him 15 more minutes but it was ready in 5. Anyway, I didn't get pizza because my teen didn't want it. We got pasta instead. Surprisingly, it was good. One things for sure, their prices are great! The lasagna was good. It came with garlic bread. I got the antipasto salad and it was big. It was worth the price. Antonio's is fantastic! It's a small mom and pop type of place where you have to call in your order. I tried so many pizza places in the MoVal/Riv area and they are mid at best. The exception is Antonio's which has become my go to pizza place in this area! Originally a NY'er myself, I certainly have specific standards for a good cheese pie. Also, if a place makes a killer cheese pizza, you know everything else will be good since that's the base for most pies. It doesn't necessarily have to be an exact NY thin crust pizza, but at minimum they have to use whole milk mozzarella, a good sauce that's not too acidic and slightly sweet, hand stretched dough that's crisp yet soft and not like a cracker when thin. Lastly, a decent pizza oven. Antonio's checks all those boxes for me and you can't beat the XL cheese pick-up only deal! Also, their pizza reheat really well in a hot pan! read more

Hidden Gem Hole-in-the-wall 10/10 pizza. Pizza is incredible, you cannot go wrong with even just a regular cheese pizza. My go to is jalapeño pineapple with Canadian bacon. The dough itself has an incredible depth of flavor that even people who usually skip the crust won't be able to resist. A bit pricey once you tack on toppings but worth it for your favorite pizza combination. A worthwhile splurge indeed. Other food options look great but have only had their pizza. For the most part the pizza is consistently good. The reason for 3 stars is because I absolutely hate the way they do pick up. You can order over the phone but it doesn't matter how early or late you have ordered because you still have to wait in line. So if they said 20 min and let's say you show up at 20min and there's a line you have to wait in that line. The problem with this is that no matter what order the pizzas were ordered if you're first in line you get your pizza first. So if your pizza comes out before the person in front of you, you won't get your pizza till they get theirs. This last time we waited 40min in line to get our pizza. When I placed my order they said 1hour. From ordering to receiving my pizza it had been 1 hour and 40min. It was Super Bowl so yes it was busy however everyone placed their order at different times. So if I placed my order an hour ago and someone else 20min before me but they're ahead in line I will have to wait for that person to get their pizza. They're not going to lose their place in line. It is the worse system. There are times when they ask for your name but it doesn't matter because at pick up they always ask what you order and not a name. When there's a line like that they need to have 1 person charge every single person in line and call everyone by name as the pizza comes out. The cheese on our pizza was over cooked I'm pretty sure it was because it was left in the warmer. If it was done when they said that means our pizzas sat in the warmer for 40minutes. So frustrating. We told our friends how great this pizza is and it was a huge disappointment. By the way the line was very slow because the people that were ahead of us their pizza wasn't ready. When it was finally our turn in line our pizzas were in the warmer. That means all these people in line order after we did. There were about 30 people in front of us. FYI the lines form on weekends. Not so much during the week. Expect long lines during certain holidays/events. Unfortunately our friends thought the pizza taste like cardboard. I loved, adored even Antonio's Pizza, I would walk in and the same guy would always recognize me, never got his name wish I did though because not only did his pizza bring me warmth so did he, even the way he always picked up the phone made me laugh. But seems as though once he left the best pizza left with him. I have seen wrong orders be made while I am in line to pick up my order and they would not correct it for the customer. I don't understand how they treat their customers. To lose the good will of the existing customer is crazy to me. Now today my wife made an order for a Mambo meal 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese. When she arrived they had made a Jumbo meal with one pepperoni pizza and a cheese. And when my wife corrected the other, there response was just sorry. They would not correct the order or change the price. This overall is not the end of the world but advice from a business owner to a business owner. Your customers are the life of your business. The price is really great. Tonight we got the 10 inch, thick crust, Hawaiian with pineapple added and extra sauce. Website says it feeds 1-2 with 4 slices. It came as 6 and we could have easily fed a 3rd person. The crust really is thick and good. But it was needed to support everything on it. They don't skimp on the toppings at all. This place doesn't look like much but it ticks all the boxes for great pizza. Small family owned business that feels like it every time I go in. The owner is always taking calls and joking with the customers, it's refreshing to see someone not afraid to talk to someone. It feels like an East coat pizza joint and you wouldn't want it any other way. The prices are great for what you get. The crust is always done perfectly and there isn't a single over used or under used ingingredient and it hits the pizza spot every time.
