My wife and I stopped in for lunch during our Swedish Christmas gift shopping and it was a top notch experience. The restaurant space is well appointed with custom Swedish touches. The food was incredible. The owner is also the chef and we met her mother who helps out in the dinning room from time to time. Amazing people with a passion for food and service. We started with the Smorgas and it was delicious. My wife ordered the Kottbullar (Swedish meatballs) a first for us other than my grandmothers recipe from Sweden. She loved it! Her side was the Artsoppa, Swedish yellow pea soup. Flavorful and hearty, yum! I had the Lamp Chops with a side of Farskpotatis (Swedish dill potatoes). The lamb entree was heavenly as it was accompanied by pistachio crusted goat cheese and blanched spinach in a garlic butter sauce. The lamp chose were perfectly cooked. We learned the lamp comes in fresh from Blazefork Farm from Inman KS. My wife and I will make this one hour trip monthly just to partake in this culinary delight. The service was excellent.

While camping at Kanopolis State Park we decided to venture into town and what a gem we found. First and foremost, Emily, our server, could not have been nicer. We started out with the Broccoli Cheese soup and the Korean Sticky Ribs and both came out hot and delicious. The ribs had some really nice heat to them as well. Our entrees were the Swedish Meatballs and the Lamb chops. Both were absolutely amazing. The lamb was cooked a perfect med-rare and the accompaniment of mashed potatoes and pistachio crushed goat cheese was decadent. If I lived closer this would be a weekly visit!!

We went to Lindsborg KS on a Friday and decided to eat at Crown and Rue for lunch. We all got hamburgers. They were amazing. My sister got the beet salad. She loved it so much she tried to get the recipe! The service was beyond great. They took care of our every need and talked to us about the area They also have pies and cookies.

The food was delicious and the waiter was friendly to the point that it gives a vibe of a small-town charm. I had the cabbage roll and the yellow pea soup.

Food was DELICIOUS!! Service is IMPECCABLE! Ambiance is laid-back & had good vibes! I had the grilled lemon chicken sandwich & a butternut squash/white bean soup with slithers of greens and a touch of rosemary & oregano! My hubby had the dinner size hamburger & fries were yummy!!! This is our spot anytime we visit Lindsborg. Go Swedes!

Fall wrap, had chicken and almonds and butternut squash puree. Side of zucchini and squash.

We ate at crown and rye when we were in town for a bb game. The restaurant was crowded as there was some Christmas thing going on in town . We noticed there was 2 large parties, there. However, we waited almost 30 mins for our food and it seemed as if our waiter forgot about us. It wasn't until we mentioned what's going on with our food that he came out immediately with our food. Members of my party had a fairly simple order. 3 of us ordered a wrap or cold sandwhich, one ordered a patty melt and another a salad. Just SLOW SLOW service.

The food was excellent. I enjoyed the mahi mahi with a delightful toasted coconut rice. We would have been happy to linger a little longer on a date night but speedy service is nothing to complain about!

This Lindsborg icon has gone through several iterations over the past decade and the last time I was here it was still under the name "The Swedish Crown" so I was eager to see how "Crown and Rye" differed. Upon walking in you still have a very similar ambiance, it's upscale, but also really homey at the same time. Honestly, I do think the interior of this restaurant could be upgraded a bit and really lean into the more elegant side of this place. It would be nice to have some true fine dining in Lindsborg and I feel like this place is so close to making that a reality. The wait staff is almost always Bethany College students and they did a great job this time - they were attentive and friendly, also got our drinks out fairly fast. The menu is still traditional Swedish with American fare mixed in, so it has a lot to offer the whole family. I ordered some kind of traditional sausage dish and it was really tasty! Overall it's a great option if you are looking for someplace that caters to the Swedish theme of the town and has good food. I'd recommend this to anyone visiting Lindsborg, and it's always in our rotation when we are in town.

Waited 15 mins to get our drink order taken...I'm pretty sure that's only because I waived down a waitress.

I love eating for free. Being in downtown MHK, it's a relatively small joint. However, the spacing is easy to navigate, and the decor is very mature. They take themselves seriously, as they should! Anywho, tapas is a very European dining style, with small plates designed to not fill you immediately, so you're able to try several items on the menu in one night. After several visits now, I can say with full confidence that everything on the menu is worth trying and worth the money. The drinks are well measured and nicely balanced. They have experienced staff who know their menu, in the sense that their explanations are very informative. Please, treat yourself and get that basque cheesecake. It's pretty amazing! I'd recommend this to any alumni or parent taking a weekend to watch the cats give a beat down on the gridiron, and looking for a nice, memorable dinner with the family. Once again, students beware! This one isn't cheap! Lol.

I landed on the Korean Tacos, which is marinated beef bulgogi, red peppers, scallions, peanuts, wontons and gochujang sauce, all in soft flour tortillas. You get two tacos in each order. They were good but very sweet! I wasn't a fan of the flour tortilla. The people at my table ordered a couple of appetizers -- one of which I loved. The fried burrata was a big ball of cheese hanging out in a dish of vodka sauce, topped with cashew pesto, parm and served with crostini.
