I was really hoping Crown Bakery would be a solid breakfast stop. I was looking for a bread bakery similar to 85°C because I love their pastries, and Crown Bakery came up with great reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, our experience didn't match the hype. The moment we walked in, the first thing we noticed was the smell, it was strong and genuinely off-putting, almost like sewage. Definitely not the scent you expect or want in a bakery. On top of that, since it was the day after Thanksgiving, the shelves were pretty bare. There wasn't much inventory to choose from, and the items that were available didn't look very appealing. Between the smell and the limited selection, we ended up leaving quickly. I didn't even get a chance to take photos. Thankfully, 85°C was right across the street, so we went there instead. Cute little bakery with attentive workers and a huge selection of Asian/Korean breads! Came at 9pm and there was still a large selection of items left. Paris Baguette and 85C nearby were mostly sold out of items at this point so i was super happy seeing the items still available here! If you come late at night you won't be disappointed. My 600th review! Only wonderful things to say about this quaint family-owned bakery! Located on the second floor of the Chinatown Plaza, it's a bit tough to spot from the street, but their promising ratings on Yelp drew us in. The scent of fresh pastries hit us as we entered and saw a wide selection of breads and buns laid out on the tables. Cakes and other desserts were also stored in the chilled glass case. The gentleman (who I believe was the owner) was super friendly and told customers that he could box up some of the warm buns still cooling on the racks rather than just leaving us to select from the ones already packaged. Since we weren't going to eat them immediately, we did not need them to be warm, but truly appreciated the offer. He said that the breads and buns are of course best to enjoy the same day, but the quality would still be fine over the next day or two. With everything looking so tempting, we filled our tray and left with a variety of treats. + TARO BUN & MATCHA BUN: These two were my favorites! A generous amount of taro and matcha cream filled the soft pillowy buns. The cream had a rich milky flavor that I found so delightful. I tried to take small bites to make them last as long as possible, haha. The only thing that would have made them better would be pairing them with a cup of coffee or tea. + COFFEE BUN: A simple airy bun with a coffee flavored crust on top. This was okay, but became a bit dry on the second day, especially since it didn't contain a filling. + SWEET CREAM BUN: A long soft bun with pipes of cream sandwiched inside. There was not much filling, but it was enough, tasting like a natural buttercream... slightly sweet with a touch of salt. + RED BEAN BUN: A generous red bean filling was perfectly sweet, pasty and included some small pieces of walnut. I don't love walnuts, but they added a nice element of crunch. + CHOCOLATE MOCHI MUFFIN: I don't normally go for muffins at an Asian bakery, but the mochi aspect of it had me sold. With the mochi baked into the dough, the muffin had an elasticity and chew while still being light overall. Chocolate chips added pops of sweetness and the deep flavor of cocoa. **August 2025: Sunday Morning Visit** My friend and I were in the market for a quick snack option before heading to our concert so we stopped by Crown Bakery to grab some buns to go. The shop it located upstairs in a small plaza, but the inside is cute and homey. During our visit it seemed that they had more sweet than savory buns, but regardless we found some things to try. I got the Hot Dog Bun $2.95 and Lemon Cream Bun $3.75 and both were good, but the later was a standout. That Lemon Cream Bun was not too sweet and I really enjoyed it. They have some other sweet flavors like ube, cookies and cream etc. so if you're up for some sweet breads Crown Bakery may fit the bill. read more

The staff is friendly and talked to us about the amount of red means they put into their buns. There used to be (maybe they're still there) very famous and iconic Crown Bakery in Seoul, Korea. I've been coming here for years since I first started going to Vegas. This place was here before 85°C Bakery, and I've seen it change ownership a few times from Korean to Chinese and now Thai-owned. We stopped by this bakery before leaving Las Vegas to California, purchased $70 things for ourselves and friends. The pastries are very yummy and unique. I really enjoyed the blueberry Ube bun, and the strawberry cake is nice as well, it tastes like my childhood memories. My husband has a meaty pastry and he enjoyed it. The only thing I wanna complain is the staff seems new and didn't know how to make the drink I ordered, he mixed the espresso coffee bean powder inside the drink, it tastes like earth... so I changed another one. He also didn't know where's the packing box for the cake, takes like 10 minutes and then I said no need to pack. Mmm, Heavenly Baked Goods [Las Vegas NV] This bakery was one of my bookmarked places to visit in Las Vegas. We came on a Sunday morning. The bakery is located on the second floor. I'm not sure if this shopping plaza has an elevator (I'm pretty sure there is) but we parked close to the stairs which was to the left if facing the building. This is no ordinary bakery. The baked goods looked pretty and laid out nice and neat individually wrapped in shelves and baskets. I chose a Mocha Butter Bun while my hubby got something similar to a chocolate croissant. The sweetness of the cream inside my mocha bun was just right, not too sweet. They sold customized cake and macarons too. We came back a second time to purchase more goodies to bring home. The seating area in front includes long tables and a couple of cushioned chairs. I've seen guests relaxing while reading a book over a coffee drink and others enjoying breakfast while working on their laptops. Private lot with ample parking. Disappointing experience. Pastries and breads were decent at best. Flavored coffees were ok but very one note. Flavors tasted similar to each other. They advertised tanghulu all over the store so we decided to try it and that was the biggest mistake. It was buy 2 get 1 free so we paid over $20 for the most disgusting tanghulu we've ever had. It came out of the freezer so fruits were frozen solid and started discoloring, the sugar coating was no longer clear, and on top of that they were wrapped in cellophane so it was stuck to the fruits and could not be removed. My husband took one bite, spit it out and threw the others away. Tried this place once and will not be returning. Too many better options out there. read more

This cute little bakery on the second floor has amazing treats. Make the walk upstairs and make room for the delicious pastries and cake slices available to accompany with some good coffee. The service is kind, and they enjoy describing each individual item. I come here for birthday cakes all the time since they are not overly sweet like most American bakeries. TRY THE MOCHA SLICE! I was really excited to finally check out this family-owned Korean bakery that's been sitting in the heart of Chinatown, Las Vegas since 2005! It's a hidden gem tucked away on the second level of a small strip mall (same plaza as Mochinut and Mr.Tofu). Right up the stairs and it's right there! My friend and I picked out a handful of baked goods to try, also because there's a card fee for totals under $10. Pecan Tart (4/5): The pecan topping was a little too sticky for my mouth, but I did really like the shell. Only thing is that it was a bit too crumbly and got all over my clothes. Sponge Cake (3/5): It was a little dry for my liking. Felt like it could use some butter and be fluffier/spongier. Butter Bread (4/5): Probably my favorite of everything I tried. The creamy filling was just right and not too sweet. A warm and crispy pastry is everything for me and it was perfect after popping it in the oven for a few minutes. Cookie Crumb Mochi Bread (4/5): While I really enjoyed this one, the red bean filling caught me by surprise. I took a second look at the ingredients and realized "red bean" was the first one listed, although I think it'd be helpful for "red bean" to be in the name and not just the description. Reading through reviews and flipping through photos, it seems like this is a common encounter for many others. Another thing is that the crumby topping is great, but after I put it in the toaster, it actually got softer. The warm and welcoming customer service was my favorite of all. Crown Bakery was the perfect spot for an after work meet up with a friend. We were initially going to meet at another popular coffee, tea and bakery venue but it was extremely crowded and loud so we decided to search for something else. After walking over to this plaza we found a few cafes with interesting options that looked worth visiting. We selected Crown Bakery because the drinks and pastries looked delicious and it was much calmer with a mellow vibe. I selected and purchased about 6 varieties of pastries to go and a matcha green tea with oat milk to enjoy with my friend during our visit . All pastries but one were yummy and the matcha was delicious . We found this wonderful bakery last year while visiting Las Vegas and have been back every time we've gone to Vegas since (twice this year). I particularly like anything that they offer with the Purple Ube filling. They have a Malasada with a lot of that magic filling as well as a delicious milk bread pastry with some of the Ube filling in it. They also do the milk bread pastries filled with a really good custard and also one with cream cheese. Super yummy! read more

Maybe I went on a bad day. My friends and I visited on a Saturday afternoon. It was our first time at this bakery and the reviews/photos looked great! There were so many different types of breads and pastries. They even had macarons and they looked so cute! My sister and a friend ordered many different flavors. I got the cookie crumble red bean mochi bread. We were on our way to Red Rock Canyon and snacked on macarons in the car. We tried the pistachio and hazelnut, which tasted hard and crumbly. It was stale. The Oreo flavor tasted better, but it wasn't anything special. The raspberry macaron tasted more fresh and chewy. It was my fave. I ate the cookie crumble red bean mochi bread the next day and it was not good. I didn't taste any mochi or maybe it was just old, but only after 1 day? I wonder how long it's been sitting there. I've been to other Asian bakeries (in Houston) and didn't eat pastries until the following day and it tasted better than this. So I went here to get work done and use WiFi, which was accomplished. But the buns/ pastries were not the best. I am Asian and I have had lots of these types of Asian buns/ pastries, here in the USA and in Asia ... and I will say these were not the best. They were way too heavy and had way too much filling, to the point where the items were soggy before you even ate them. I had 3 different ones and all were subpar sadly. A small bakery with a wide variety of pastries. Their breads are soft and fluffy and their character macarons are delicious. Without a doubt, if you like mango you HAVE to try the mango mousse. It's flavor is perfect, the texture is smooth and fluffy. It has a thin layer of cake at the bottom that complements it perfectly. Discovered another hidden gem this particular Bakery is located in Chinatown on Spring Mountain Rd. Looks like there located in a strip mall upstairs. My friend told me about this bakery he came before and had their Almond Cookie: It looks like a thin wafer with almonds inside of the cookie. When you here Almond cookie you think it's the one with the red dot but it's not. This particular Bakery has so many baked items to choose from also different type of cookies and breads. It reminds me of a Brug Bakery but a Chinese Bakery. Next time I visit I'll definitely try all their other baked goods. read more
