Some really overpriced stuff. What we got was a cheese Danish and I forget what other thing my husband got. The cheese Danish is good. Bread is soft and cheese is slightly sweet and sour. They seem to have a lot of different types of bakery. For a very small shop, it had a lot of choices. Its a bunch of old ladies working at the register. They are just sitting there talking snd chillin.

Try this place for its unique variety of cakes. We tried the Taro cake, which had a soft sponge cake and a real taro filling. This place is inside the Plaza in Spring Mountain. Customer service is good however be patient because they speak Chinese but understand basic English. You are not gonna to disappoint stop by and try. We bought two cakes 16 inches in one day.

Oh my gosh! I've been coming here for well over twenty years now! This is my favorite Asian bakery. I've been eagerly anticipating the Filipino bakery, but it's not open yet (Me be like that old Mervyn's ad, "Open, Open, Open). That one is at Sahara at Buffalo. Pineapple buns are $3.00 to $3.20 each, there are several kinds of pineapple buns. There are taro buns, my absolute favorite. Hubby's favorite is the coconut bun. Stringbean got the blueberry cream cheese muffin. So, we went here for the saturday before Mother's Day, in the morning, get there early for the best selection; ever since I became a mother, we celebrate Mother's Day early with my mom and my mother-in-law. The parking lot was empty! The clerk that assisted us was very nice. When we got there, they were busy stocking the platters. I got the last taro, but the huge pineapple buns certainly caught my attention. They were huge!!! Twelve items and it was $38. This was a bargain nowadays, cheaper than going out to breakfast. The mocha rolls are excellent. The cakes are excellent, but now are at over $4.00 a slice. If you are celebrating, something special, of course, you can splurge. TIP: Get there early, they open up at 8 am. (This was Stop 2, we had four that morning.)

It's really hard to find a good Chinese bakery in town but Diamond does a pretty good job. What I primarily come here for is their BBQ Pork Buns (both baked and steamed) and their egg tarts. The BBQ Pork buns have good flavor and an acceptable amount of filling. The bun is soft and it's something I get on every visit. The egg tarts are also pretty good. The crust is flaky and the filling has good flavor. If you don't eat it warm from their case, chilling it in the fridge as a cold tart also works if you like that kind of thing. I do! Their cocktail bun I find is a little shallow in the amount of filling, but when you taste the filling, it is good! The Pineapple Bun has an option with custard and this one is better than just the non-filled version. The bakery isn't cheap but then again, most places are several dollars per item anyhow!

We stopped in to get a few sweets for later, after having lunch and picking up some boba around the corner. It was kind of an odd experience with it feeling like being watched. The two young ladies working the counter just stood there, leaning on the counter, waiting for us. They seemed really annoyed about us being there but it could be that they were just annoyed to be working on a nice Saturday (it did seem like the other older woman working was scolding them at one point.) After I left a tip in the jar, I actually got a smile and huge thank you from one of them, so there's that. The place seemed pretty clean, even if it was a bit old. The selection of items was a bit lacking for me. I'm not sure if it was because they sell out in the morning on a Saturday or if they just don't do much business so they make less than they would before. We did get a few of our favorite things. To be honest, I don' think I'd be back. For the service for sure and because nothing we got was that great.

L-R: Taro Bun, $2.85. Steam Chicken Bun, $2.95

Diamond Bakery is located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch with plenty of parking available. My husband and I decided to stop by this bakery since we were going to pick up some milk tea from No. 1 Boba Tea. I was greeted by one of the employees behind the counter when we entered. We ended up purchasing: Taro Bun, $2.85- This bun had 4 small pieces that you can tear away from each other. My husband and I each had two pieces and shared with our little girl dog. Each piece had plenty of taro. There were also slivered almonds as well. The bread was soft and wasn't too sweet, which was nice. I would buy this item again. Steam Chicken Bun, $2.95- We consumed this bun the next day, after heating it up in the microwave with a damp paper towel. We were both a bit disappointed with this bun because there was hardly much filling inside, the bun was mostly just bread. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this. Green Bean Sesame Ball, $2.65- I decided to get this and ate it within the hour of purchase. This sesame ball was good and best consumed fresh. The shell of the sesame ball itself was just perfect and had a nice chew. I liked the filling, as it wasn't too sweet. It was also packed with plenty of green bean. I would purchase this again. ------------------------------- (Total= $8.45) Service was friendly and there was a good variation of different pastries and baked goods to choose from. They also sell Chinese tamales/ rice dumpling, egg tarts/ Portuguese egg tart too. Please note that there is a minimum of $5 for any credit card transactions (but they only accept Visa and Mastercard).

Great bakery with a very good selection of pastries and cakes. I will definitely be going back. I especially love the churro bites and the almond croissant.

A lot of selections. Freshly baked and delicious desserts, drinks, and buns. Hole in the wall in china town next to other cute little Asian stores and restaurants

I had low expectations because it looked super thick and it was $4 for one of these, but it turned out pretty good. It's very soft, has a lot of winter melon including chunks and a ton of sesame seeds. I don't like it this chunky usually, but I guess it works here because I just chew the chunks with the seeds. It's also just right with its sweetness. The service was fast and it was in a mall.

Location easy to find. Came in around 2:30pm and seemed like they didn't have much selection left. Matcha Ube didn't have any matcha flavor in it, but it was still good. very generous with the filling in the black sesame bun. the pork bun was good too. soft and fluffy! fast service. we are happy and would come back again.

While visiting Vegas, my brother said he wanted to go to Diamond Bakery, so I was curious and tagged along. Such a legit Asian bakery with lots of treats from my childhood and some I hadn't seen before. We grabbed a bunch to take home - the sweet fried "butterfly" things were the best. Of course I loved the egg tarts and fresh BBQ pork buns as well. I wasn't blown away but would definitely come back here again next time I'm in town.

Food (5/5): I found this place on TikTok and had to check it out when I saw they had BBQ pork buns! I bought two of them and I'm glad I finally found an Asian bakery with some nostalgic treats. The buns didn't have as much BBQ pork as I expected, but they were very soft and subtly sweet. Service (5/5): there were two workers who were very prompt and helpful. Credit cards require a $5 minimum purchase, however, and each bun was $2.90ish, so it worked out for me. Ambiance (5/5): the mall is really quiet and there's only a few stores inside, but the actual bakery is always packed with fresh treats. Overall (5/5): if I'm in the area, I'd definitely like to come back, especially for the almond cookies next time!

Very small interior, but a vast selection of treats. They offer donuts, cookies, even banana bread! Unfortunately with my evening visit, all of the donuts were sold out. Again, I came for the cookies so not a problem. I chose the Cookie Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie as well as the White Chocolate Chip Ube. I took them home as take out. Despite cooling down a bit, they stayed pretty warm (I still microwaved for good measure). These cookies are incredibly gooey, not at all cakey, and just sweet enough to still be flavorful. It didn't taste artificial at all like at St**b**ks. I'm pretty sure they make the apple syrup in house. Perfectly spiced and comforting. I would come back just for this drink but unfortunately I think it's a seasonal item. Strawberry Mille-Feuille: They make this fresh, so I had to wait about 5-10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. The pastry was beautifully crispy and the cream had the perfect texture with visible vanilla bean specks. I even found myself licking the paper it came on and didn't care who saw me because it was that good. Mushroom Crêpe: Yes, it's worth the hype. The photos online make it look very cheesy, but it's actually quite light. My husband doesn't like cheese and couldn't even taste it. I ordered it without mayo to keep it a little lighter. The tiny mushrooms were adorable, and it comes served in a cute crêpe holder. Coconut Cake: The cake was incredibly soft and fluffy with custard cream layered in between. They didn't have individual slices, so I ordered the mini cake for $17. Yes, I ate the entire thing. Yes, it was delicious. Yes, I think I've had enough coconut cake now in one sitting to last a lifetime. Yuzu Panna Cotta: Very unique. I haven't seen this dessert anywhere else. The yuzu adds a bright tangy flavor that almost makes the panna cotta taste like a creamy citrus yogurt. I'm really glad I tried it. Matcha Latte: Strong, high-quality matcha. Sometimes matcha drinks at cafés taste watered down, but not here. It's topped with matcha foam and little matcha brownie bits, which makes it extra special. Strawberry Dessert: My kids loved this. Every bite was a surprise. My 9-year-old found beans in one bite and then a big strawberry hidden in the middle. It was fun watching them discover it. I wish I'd bought four my last day in Vegas because Dad accidentally ate the one for Mom instead of his apple pastry ... and he said there wasn't any filling. Yes, there wasn't supposed to be filling in the crispy, flaky, cinnamon sugar dusted DKA! I first had Cronuts at Paris Baguette so I knew what I was about to experience back at the Grove in 2019. I ordered one here in Vegas and this month's flavor was coconut creme. Very light in flavor, same heaviness I've gotten used to from croissant donuts. They were also offering milk chocolate flavor this month that I wasn't aware of when ordering. I wanted to try the madeleines after gifting a friend the new IOTA hand cream made in partnership with DA himself. I ordered the lemon madeleines instead and was confused since they were coated in this earl grey white chocolate. The madeleine was drenched in maybe milk so it was so soft like tres leches with a lemon custard center. I went back the next day and ordered fresh, piped and baked to order mini madeleines-- twenty pieces for ~$12?! I should've bought at least two orders! And they smell just like the hand cream! So I went and bought myself the cream from ULTA to remember my DA Vegas breakfast runs while staying at Caesar's Palace. Also, my sister LOVES the pain au chocolat! She had it twice and probably should've bought more. It's pricey at $10 but worth the splurge. DKAs also run at $10 each. Get a nice four piece box as a gift for about $41. Oh! I forgot I bought three canelés. Ended up eating two of them. Opt for the bag instead of the box to save money. Custardy center with a chewy exterior, tastes a bit like slightly burnt brown sugar, in the best way possible. Finally tried the infamous chocolate chip cookie shot with steamed Madagascar vanilla milk! The cookie is warmed in their oven for ultimate melty chocolate-ness. I'm glad I shared this. The moignets had a pleasant chewy texture and a dusting of matcha powdered sugar over the top, which went well with the yuzu cream we ordered on the side, which costed an additional $1.50. While the cream was refreshing, it's not essential for the moignets to taste good. We also ordered the mango mochi, which came with a cake-like whipped cream inside. This had a bit too much of a vanilla flavor for me and overpowered the freshness of the mango. Overall, Moignet is a solid dessert spot to try in Vegas. I would visit again next time I'm in the area for a sweet treat.
