I purchased a brand new 2026 buick envista sport touring which was a $28k vehicle. I put down 14k cash and financed the rest. My credit was not good so my interest rate was gonna be 10% which I was gonna deal with that. My note ended up being $399 a month and I was fine with that. Everything happened so quick so this is my fault but I ended up signing with a "finance charge" included for $8k. After everything the total price of the car ended up being $44k. The car is worth $28k and I put down $14k cash and I owe over $29k. The only reason I wanted to put down so much cash was to not get screwed through financing. Kenneth Simms was the guy that sold me the car but the bald headed guy in the finance office is the one who really did me bad, but the salesman knew what was going on they both did this to me. When I find out the bald guys name I'll update this post and add it. I'd be worried and concerned if I was doing being so dirty. Treating people with respect and doing right by them would be the best practice. I bring him $14k cash when I could have went anywhere and he robbed me. Do not give this place business. I purchased a brand new 2024 Envision and it started acting up immediately. Made an appointment for it to be look at on Monday. Service department kept it till Wednesday found one of the 3 issues and replaced the part Friday. Told me they wanted to keep the car to put a few more hundred miles on it. They put 100 miles on the car sitting in the shop. It's a brand new car that didn't even have 150 miles on it. Seems like they were using it for personal use. read more

So where do I begin? Let me start by saying the buying experience was good, Had to play phone tag a few times with John D. but for the most part, the buying experience was easy. I met with him a few times to check out a few vehicles before finding the one I wanted. I purchased a used SUV about 6 months ago, the mileage on the listed sticker was 4000 less than what it was at the time of purchase, but I was willing to overlook that as I understand that some dealers use their used vehicles as loaners and the price was still really good and I got a good return on my trade-in. That being said I would have expected the vehicle to be fully serviced and ready for show when I came to test drive and for the most part it was presentable. It did have a cracked taillight that we got an agreement from them to replace. As soon as it started raining on the way home, we discovered the wiper blades (all of them) were worn out. Even the rear one. I got reimbursed for them but still. Within a few days I had to bring it back in because there was a missing plug on the coolant line, a hood sensor that went off intermittently, a slight jerk when I hit bumps and a squeal in my brakes. The dealership warranty (3mo/3000 mi) covered the service, at least what they could duplicate. The jerk and hood issues they couldn't duplicate. But they fixed the coolant issue and said they replaced the brake pads. But it took a week. At pick up I asked about the taillight that I was waiting on and to my surprise, the service dept had no clue what I was talking about. So after talking with my John, he got it squared away and they ordered it. but that took another week and some change to come in and because they couldn't get it done right away I just picked it up and installed it myself. Now after asking about the jerking I was told if it continues, to bring the SUV back in before the warranty expired but after one long weekend off travel volleyball and college visits the warranty had been passed and the issue got more noticeable. Now I just associated it with the horrible roads of Louisiana but it became more annoying. Oh, and the Squealing... it came back. I bought an outside warranty insurance to cover repairs and just recently had the turbo go out on the engine, so I took it to a different shop and as they looked at my ride, found that the sway bar was damaged, and as a courtesy saw that my brake pads are worn down to 5/32 remaining on them. I asked if they were replaced like the service form says they were would they be this low. The guy laughed and said they weren't changed and there is no way those were put on in the past five months. I didn't want to post a review because I chose to overlook something that should have been clear flags and for the most part I am very happy with my vehicle, But the fact that 6 months in and I am having major repairs done, I am concerned with the servicing or lack thereof that was done on the vehicle before they sold it. The fact that the service dept seemed to shotgun the upkeep of this vehicle while they used it as a loaner is the only way I can justify having to deal with a missing coolant plug, worn wipers, messed up suspension, faulty sensor, and a blown turbo in less than 6 months in. I'm Glad I got maintenance Insurance as I would be shelling out a couple of grand. But I have never had this many issues with a used vehicle right off the lot and the fact I have paperwork saying that brake pads were replaced and they weren't honest about that, what else weren't they honest about? And after reading some of the other reviews it is worrisome. I can't return the vehicle but if this is an indicator of things to come, I'm in for it. All that to say, Be cautious. And if the first service experience has you feeling a certain way... Don't hesitate like I did. My rating is based on the quality of service, not the sale. RUN FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE READING THIS! There is a reason this service department is not as busy as any other dealership. I brought my truck to this location and was working with General Motors directly to assist me with the repairs and cost of the repairs. I was told by crown that my truck needed repairs that would cost me 10k. GM was going to cover a portion of the work and Crown's service department denied the funding as Kaitlin informed me that... "I was not a valued customer because I did not purchase or service my vehicle their in the past". Everytime I called, she was busy and no one else could help me. They "Kaitlin and cronies" were lazy, rude and all sitting around talking as the phone rang when we went to pick the truck up and take it to Legacy GMC on the westbank. The problems that Kaitlin said I had would not have done anything but put a bandaid on the problem long enough to get me out the door so they could collect 10K and charge me again once the bandaid broke again. They told me that I could trade it in and offered me less than I owed on the truck. The offer was a pure joke, as is their service department. Once I got my truck to Legacy, they informed me of the real issue which would be an engine replacement. General Motors reached out to Legacy to work with them to cover the cost of the engine. Note... the truck only had 75k miles on it and was kept meticulously maintained and cleaned. Legacy GMC swapped my engine, motor mounts, and repaired or replaced items that were worn or could cause a future problem while the engine was out as to save me from future labor cost if a part located under the engine became an issue. Legacy GMC took care of everything for half of what Crown estimated for the repairs and they communicated daily on the steps taken to repair the truck. I would tell anyone who even says the name Crown Buick GMC to run in the opposite direction. I have never dealt with a more useless group of individuals who are just there for a paycheck. AGAIN RUN FROM THIS PLACE! There are better companies in 3rd world countries than this service department. I still can't wrap my head around GM offering to cover cost so I would not be as out of pocket, and this group at Crown denying the money from the manufacturer. And I made one call to find out how much was the oil change at Crown Buick. It was way cheaper than what I thought. I was able to make an appointment. Pull in and was greeted by some amazing workers. At first I was like this is to early in the morning to have a smile on your face.. but these workers were genuine about their job. Very helpful and very fast. I paid way less money got A plus service and got my vehicle serviced fast. As long as I have a Buick I will be going to Crown Buick Metairie for life. read more

I've had GMC/Chevy vehicles for all my life except for a stint with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I purchased my last GMC vehicle here, a Terrain, and I've had my vehicle serviced here. I haven't really been happy with my Terrain (which is a GMC design issue and not the dealers) and it will probably end up being my last GMC/Chevy vehicle as my experience with it has led me to decide that I will most likely go with a more reliable manufacturer in the future. I find the Terrain to be a dismal failure as an SUV as it is far too low to the ground and has far too low of a clearance for NOLA driving along with a less than ideal turn radius along with frequent flat tires from the poor tire design and choice that don't work well for New Orleans pot holes and other rough driving realities. The battery design of the Terrain is also so ludicrous that nowhere but the dealer can change the battery as they have it locked away in a manner that requires special tools to access it that only the dealerships have so any battery change will cost you. I have been generally happy with the service department here as they allow you to schedule a time to bring your vehicle in and they are VERY good at completing the service within one day and getting you back on the road in a far more efficient manner than I've experienced at other car repair locations so the repair department is worthy of four stars for that. Unfortunately GMC is not worth many stars from the poor design of the Terrain which ended up dying with less than 75,000 miles on it which is unacceptable for a modern vehicle or ANY type of SUV. So now I've gone back to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. read more

Kalob G went out of his way to make the car buying experience outstanding. I would gladly buy another vehicle from Kalob anytime. Most of my deal was made over the phone. I told him that I did not want any add on such as Gap or extended warranty and would walk out the finance guy if he tried to badger me into buying them. Kalob brought me a paper to sign to decline those coverages and that is all that was said about that. The after buying experience went downhill fast. I made numerous calls to the courthouse to inquire if my paperwork had arrived across a three-week period and called the dealership to see if I could get any assistance from them. To no avail. I would call the dealership and the person I needed to talk to always seemed to be busy and they said they would call me back. The call back never came. This went on from the week after I bought the car all the way until to the 24th of July. I decided to reach out to Kalob again and he began checking on it and found out the business office had not submitted the paperwork to get the deal funded yet. That paperwork would have to be sent in before I could get the paperwork I needed. I was told since I was paying my on taxes that the paperwork would be sent to my house on Monday and someone would have to be here to sign for it. I had to get someone to stay at my house on Monday because I had a procedure scheduled and was unable to be here myself. At 2:14 on Monday I received a text saying the paperwork was not coming on Monday it would be Tuesday. On Tuesday my wife has to have a procedure so now I have to find someone else to be here to sign for the paperwork. I wish this site had a way to split the reviews because Kalob and the finance guy was excellent. But the way I have been done on the business office side will probably prevent me from being a repeat customer. EDIT: 8/18/2018 I had a great discussion with the Crown Service Director Robin Gurtner. We reached an amicable resolution to the issue and helped to gain my confidence in giving Crown a chance the next time my car needs service. Very professional and understanding of the situation. I'm conflicted on this review as the actual work was completed, but it is what happened in between that really ruined things and has me concerned what else is going on with other cars that customers are unaware. TL;DR Turns out, a Crown technician joy rode / ran errands in my vehicle. I picked up the car at the end of the day so the service writers and managers were gone. My car issue was not the type of problem that required an extra 20 miles of travel from when I brought it in to when I picked it up. It made me wonder what happened. After reviewing the day's trip stats map on my Buick smartphone app ( thank god for OnStar service ), the car went from the Crown location, to Cadillac of Metairie ( of New Orleans now ), to a Capital One ATM off Vets by Volvo, and Kenner, all not in that order but in a couple separate trips. There were multiple triggers for excessive acceleration and hard stops too. Fortunately I have a dash cam and looked at playback because it didn't make sense. The tech really did go to all those places. About 10 min in a Capital One ATM line, 20 min at the Cadillac dealership, to his house for about 20 min ( traveled on I-10 in the rain to get there ). All that is a major liability and risk for the dealer. What if this guy got in a wreck on I-10 in the rain? What if someone decided to jump in the car while it was at his house or at the Cadillac dealer? What if something or someone ran into it on the Cadillac dealer property? There are so many things to go wrong with that much distance to troubleshoot a non-major issue. I get it. Techs need to verify the concern. Fix the concern when discovered. Verify the repair. However, not every scenario, and certainly not mine, required that much travel, let alone flat out disrespect of a customers car, to fix. He actually started to diagnose properly - within the dealership property - after all the bs joy riding. I really don't want to have to bring my car to another dealer because Crown is more convenient location wise but I don't think I can trust these people going forward. If your car needs service from them, make it clear you expect them to do only what is required to fix your concern. Unfortunately ( for the customer ), most don't have dash cams or active OnStar service to know what is going on with their cars. It will make it harder to go back on the dealer with the proof. read more

Edit: I'm taking a star away. I had routine service done at a different GM service department today. I thought the streets were the reason for my horrible, punishing ride. It turns out that my tires just needed to be properly serviced. I have service performed every 5000 miles, and I have had Crown do the last three jobs. Either they don't know what they're doing or they didn't rotate my tires. I have used the service department at Crown GMC three or four times, and now I'm going somewhere else. The service itself has been fine, but I take issue with their extremely poor scheduling. The first time I used them, I scheduled service for a week day (an odd day off from work). When I arrived, no one at the counter seemed to have any clue why I was there, and I insisted that I had an appointment. Trust me, folks, I'm not interested in spending a rare day off getting my oil changed...! I had to give them all of the information that I had given to the woman over the phone AGAIN as I stood there. The other times I've had routine service done at Crown, I've gone in on Saturdays. They do a first come, first serve service on Saturdays. I've had to wait no longer on a Saturday than I did for my scheduled appointment, which is pretty sad. But today, I went in at 2:00 (two hours before closing, and I was that late only because traffic was INSANE everywhere), and the employee at the desk told me there was no way he could do a routine oil change and tire rotation. I'm sorry, what??? He said he could schedule an appointment for me. Now, remember what I said about having to wait just as long for a scheduled appointment here as a first come, first serve service? Um, NO. No, thank you. Next week I will drive 30 miles out of my way to try Legacy in Slidell. Will it be better? I hope so. But the lack of customer service at Crown's service department is appalling. If they're so busy that they can't fit customers in for routine service, then they need to start allowing Saturday appointments and/or hire more technicians. read more

I brought my Sierra truck for Service and Tire rotation. I told associate that check me in, I've been having problems with 3 tires needing air every few days. Tech said no problem with tires. My wife and I drove to Nashville and had to stop 2 times coming and going back to New Orleans. Thank God we didn't get a blow up. I took my truck to Gerry Lane today they found a nail in 2 tires and 3rd needed to be replaced. I have warranty on wheels so it would've been a problem to fix. I hope things improve at Crown. Since I have (8)Check-Ins in approximately 30 days you already know where this review is going. I was unable to test the Heated seats on my recent purchase(Chevy Tahoe)due to the hot afternoon sun and was unfamiliar with how cool the seats should become once activated. The next morning it was cool enough to test the heating. After 10 mins I felt nothing from The two front seats. I called Crown Buick and scheduled a service. I was called back the next day that "we ran a test and fixed the problem". Once again, the seats were already hot and I couldn't test them until the next morning. Guess what? NOTHING!! I called back on Saturday and spoke with a service manager(Mike) who said "it's not a big deal, I'll call you back on Monday". Well, Monday 1:00pm and still no call. As a result, I drove to Crown Buick, parked my truck and broadcasted, "MIKE... WHERE YOU AT MIKE??!! YOU LIED TO ME MIKE!!". After the busy driveway cleared with customers and employees running from the elephant in the room Mike showed up with a clipboard. Instead of calming me down with "Mr. Webb sorry for the inconvenience" he boldly states again "Its not a big deal". WRONG MOVE MIKE! After going off, Mike retreated to the back and tagged in his other manager Jeff. Jeff started running the exact same test that showed nothing was wrong. I informed Jeff that test was already done and showed him the paperwork. I instructed Jeff all he had to do was "Put a human hand on the seat" to see it's not working. He did and agreed it was not fixed as The Service Department claimed. I came back again and the matter was eventually fixed. HOWEVER..... They claimed to inspect the total vehicle and went ahead and did an oil change. Really?! Why is it STILL displaying 53% oil life?! Why are my tires' air pressures ranging from 29lbs to 35lbs?! As I'm writing this review I see a "JD Power and Associates 2 years in a row customer satisfaction". Huh??!! Oh my bad, I looked closer and it was a generic poster board for "BUICK". No particular region or dealership. And no I'm not getting up to read the fine print at the bottom. Im done! *Update A.K.A. even more bad news: Today(Dec1,2016) was the day to have my I.O.U. fulfilled(Extra Keyring w/Remote Start) AND finally reset this oil life reading to 100%. After an hour wait guess what displayed as soon as I started the ignition???!!! "53% OIL LIFE". WTF??!! This brings up a concern: If you truly did an oil change and drained out ALL of the oil HOWi is the vehicle still reading ANY percent of oil life?! There's nothing in it to read to get a percent! I'm going to get a second opinion on all the work they claimed to do. read more

I have just picked my car up from this establishment and I was ready to give them 5 stars for taking care of my vehicle but instead this situation has came out worse. Before I received my car the staff treated me well.I was greeted at the door by multiple employees and was excited to get my baby back. The aftermath is what really makes this disappointing. I fully believe in you pay for what you get but I did not pay 1070.00 for my car to come out with extra problems. That's the whole reason why I choose a well known establishment. I could see these issues happening if I went to some mom and pop fix it up store. I'm extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received. Not even 30 minutes after picking up my car I noticed the a/c had stopped working. I called GMC back and they tell me that I can bring my car back and pay 130 dollars for them just to look at it. And if the have to repair it I have to pay for that too! This is an awful thought to know if broke something or dented you vehicle while doing a repair that YOU THE ALREADY PAYING customer will have to get it fixed ! I mean come on what are you paying for? Just this week my daughter had a repair. Chris Mack in service quoted a 1500 dollar repair. I asked him if they offered discounts to which he said Military 10-15%. I was shocked when the bill came back more than quoted and his response was he could only discount one line item. Not the 10-15% I was expecting after that is what he told me. This was not explained and was misleading. Hold onto your wallet and beware of these tactics. Terrible way to do business in today's economy. Some may be pleased but in my estimation they are not above board and they do not do what they say. It is unfortunate to be lied to and makes me wonder how much they take advantage of the consumer. read more

After making an appointment, I waited over two hours for an oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection. It seemed that Crown still had a first-come first-serve policy that ignored these appointments. In the time I waited and watched Judge Judy, I could have driven to Don Bohn on the West Bank, gotten my car serviced, gotten a daiquiri, and still have gotten home early enough to finish my copy of A Confederacy of Dunces in the comfort and luxury of my own home. The service person who signed me out apologized profusely and then awkwardly offered that she would have given me the oil change for free if it wasn't already included in my car's warranty.
