So we had lunch from here yesterday. I am very picky about Mac and cheese and greens. I was beyond pleasantly surprised. The greens had lots of flavor and big pieces of smoked meat. The Mac and cheese was creamy and well seasoned. I had mambo wings as my main protein and they were good. A little too sweet for me, I could have used a little more spice. I don't know why this place cannot be consistent. I have tried both Ramsey and Murchison. When they are good, they're great but honestly they won't get it right more times than less. I have officially decided to no longer go but maybe we just continue to have bad luck. We ordered wings, large fries, okra and Philly steak. The Philly was half filled, a rip off. We didn't get large fries and what we got was small, cold and greasy. The chicken was over cooked and dry again. A few larger wings were pretty good. Really the whole meal could have been returned but I finally just decided that this was my true sign to hang it up on Crown for good. Honestly, I would not recommend. Who has time to return orders over and over. I did receive an email 10% off due to another order issue which I have never used. My suggestion to management is just fix it. Whatever is wrong here especially at Ramsey, just make the changes necessary to get the place consistent. The 2 is for the okra and the half of wings that were cooked right. My mom had been wanting to try this place for so long after hearing her coworkers discuss how great it was. I visited my parents this weekend and my mom, again, brought this place up after I suggested we eat Chipotle. Long story short, on the ride back home, she looked over at me and said, "we should've gone to chipotle." The lady at the front counter was very sweet and welcoming. I ordered the 6pc hot wing combo w/ Potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and a Jamaican beef patty. I asked the lady at the counter if the macaroni was good and she raved about how they made everything fresh and in the restaurant. The macaroni looked and tasted like the instant Kraft macaroni... add pepper. If you want potato salad from Sam's club... just go buy that. The wings were good, but they were your pre-seasoned, just drop in the grease wings and they were not hot/spicy at all. I've had a beef patty made by a Jamaican and this tasted nothing like it... tasted like Foodlion. My mother ordered the Philly cheesesteak combo and did not like it, I tasted it; I didn't like it either. Two of the drinks on the soft drink machine were labeled "out of order," and the Sierra Mist was out as well, just no sign. As we were leaving, a couple was In the parking lot trying to decide if they wanted macaroni and cheese but I had to warn them, "don't get it. It ain't good."
