They gave us a quote over the phone & we booked an appointment based on that quote. We asked several questions and confirmed the quote. There was no mistaking the info that they gave us. Once at our appointment, the next morning, they offered us 50% of their quoted offer. Scam! Don't waste your time here. They are dishonest! We went to another company and got way more $ for our items. Ceasar, your employee was dishonest. She quoted a price per ounce. When I questioned her on that being the amount that you pay. She clearly stated what you pay. It was false. Your explanation is all well & good if your employee had been honest to begin with. I was shopping around different locations for a good price on a ring I was selling. 14 K white gold with 9 diamonds on the band and I came in here and was basically told my ring was worth a little less than $100 and my diamonds were only worth $7. SEVEN!!! That is ridiculous. Ended up finding a place where they were honest with me and gave me a good amount of money. I got my ring certified by a good jeweler (Robins Brothers) so I know my ring isn't just worth $100. That is so ridiculous. Stores like this really try stealing from you. Basically what I came here to say was weigh your gold before you bring it~ because I brought this to my jeweler and he wrote down 16 point something for weight and this place only said 15 something. As I had quite a variety of items I was looking to sell and have done so many times before, I am aware what spot prices for gold and silver are. To many people dont really understand what they have or how to determine what a fair price is for a gold ring, or some silver flatware. And unfortunately they are probably getting hosed. This place is no exception, after hearing the quote of what they would pay, I was a bit stunned when their quote was just about the gold amount I had in the tennis bracelet, never mind the 3 strands of diamonds, granted they were small, but imagine my surprise when I asked how much just for the bracelet and was told $150.00, FOR A 14K GOLD, SMALL DIAMONDS, BUT 150 OF THEM. I weighed the gold and went online to get the days prices for gold if they give it in ounces (troy) its 31.1 grams to a troy ounce 28.3 for a regular ounce. the bracelet had just over $300.00 in spot gold value, so his offer was 50 percent of the gold value and nothing for the diamonds which I was told were to small to offer anything. Not only was it the worst offer out of 4 places I had gone to but his $300.00 original offer for everything I had represented an even worse deal as there was over $250.00 in sterling silver items. Needless to say it's my experience to many people dont weigh their gold and check the daily price. Gold and silver are commodities and sold on the market, essentially meaning its value fluctuates and is recorded and monitored daily. As a commodity I usually ttreat whomever is buying from me as a broker and the standard fee for a broker is %18, or %20 percent. Nowadays most of these places try to take advantage of everyone know most arent knowledgeable enough to weigh and get current value so they throw out the 40 may 50 percent offer and literally take 50 percent or more of your capital gains . Dont cheat yourselves especially with this place, one of the worst. P.S. If your selling jewelry with colored stones or even diamonds bend the prongs and take the m out. Dont give them away to these guys, do what they when you have a few drive out to the diamond district in LA and sell them to a dealer. Even if you have no clue what your doing and he lowballs you at least you got something for them in stead of giving them away to these bottom feeders who already cheat you of scrap gold and silver. read more
