I appreciate being able to drop in without an appointment. I typically decide I need my nails done at the very moment they need attention, so dropping by and only having a small wait is good. I got exactly what I needed and was on my way. I noticed a mom and child enter and the little girl was seated in a special chair. It's very cute and she really was having fun. I do feel it is a little pricey but CRN has similar prices to other salons, so it does seem standard. I don't think I will ever get used to working with people talking to me and each other in English and also talking to each other in a different language moments later and while still working with me right there. For the past few weekends on Saturday at 10am only 2 ladies work. Everyone walks back out because the wait is 1 hour. They said 30 and I'm here waiting 45 for my turn. If you want fast service be the first 2 people here. I don't know where the other nail techs went but someone please tell me so I can go there instead. I came in excited to get a gel manicure for the holidays, hoping it would last while I traveled with my two kids. Even though I didn't have an appointment, they took me as a walk-in almost immediately, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. The technician, Karen, didn't speak to me at all--even when I tried to make small talk. I confirmed three separate times that I was getting a gel manicure. When it came time to pay, I was told after the service was finished that their system was down and they couldn't accept gift cards--only cash. This should have been communicated upfront. It was especially frustrating because Karen seemed to know this already and mentioned it at the end without checking with anyone. Four days later, my polish is already peeling. Either this wasn't actually a gel manicure, or it was done very poorly. Between the lack of communication, payment issue, and the quality of the manicure, I won't be returning--even with the gift card that I apparently have no way to use. read more

I had the worst experience on Saturday I got there and the lights were not working in the area that they had me sitting so they moved me chairs. then the new chair they moved me to wasn't working . The water was freezing cold they had no hot water. People kept walking in and they weren't even notifying people of them not having hot water. I'm so disgusted by my experience today. My nail tech, Bon, used someone else's dirty acetone bowl to take my polish off. There was the last person's nail polish floating in it and nail clippings (that were not mine) all over my table. He continued to use dirty towels to wipe my hands. I politely asked if I could wash my hands before he continued because I was bothered. He got mad at the question, rudely told me to do what I want, and proceeded to loudly sigh while finishing my nails. In the end, he had gone so fast to get me out of there that my nails look bubbly and awful. I used to like coming here but I will never return again. I am not the one to post negatively. I was a walk in on a Saturday. I was shopping at target and thought I would pamper myself for the day and stop in. I get the short staff so I didn't mind waiting. No music or white noise to listen to. I can get over it. Lady was nice but very rushed. My hands didn't get cuticles cleaned up or a massage which I thought was odd. But it does happen at other places. So next I go in for pedicure. Get the higher package for the extra minutes for massage. Didn't soak feet longer than a minute and she was already rushing the pedicure. Took a total of 25 min. Customers came in asking for gift cards and overheard cash only and they made the last customer before me go to the atm and pull money out for cash. I think that should be stated on a sign when u go in. I gave it two stars because the technician was friendly but still very awkward with no tv or music and then talking back and forth in their language. Looks like they just moved in there. Will not be back. I wanted to give them a shot but it's not fair to the people who pay a lot of money for a service that is not given or rushed. I paid for the Elegant Pedicure, which includes a 7-minute massage, but I only got 2 minutes--and yes, I timed it. This is the second time this has happened. The massage is what I look forward to the most, and the only reason I upgraded from the Classic Pedicure. The salon itself is filthy--it looks like it hasn't been mopped in ages, with spills and black smudges all over the floor. It made the whole experience feel unsanitary. I also got a manicure, and it was incredibly uncomfortable. There's no armrest or cushion, just hard granite, which made the whole process unpleasant for my elbows. On top of that, I couldn't even fit my legs under the counter, so I was hunched over the entire time. Overall, it was a waste of money. I won't be coming back. read more

Not sure what's going on here! My gut instinct was to walk out and I wished we did! The place is dirty, I've never seen it run down like this!! I've been going to this location since they opened, I heard they've sold which makes sense why the service has been so bad the last few times. Today my daughter and I went in, got the pamper me gel pedicure which we always get so we are very familiar with how long each step takes. Everything was very rushed my daughter finished 10 minutes before me and when I asked if she got the 10 minute massage they said yes, the girl who did her pedicure cut her big toe cuticle so bad it would not stop bleeding so the girl put nail glue on it. My pedicure was very rushed too, my guy got up to make a phone call during my massage time which ended up being 6 minutes In total including the time he stepped away. He kept say you like? It looks good? He definitely knew I was irritated. Not to mention there were staff issues going on, the 3 employees on our side were talking about another employee on the other side of the shop, they were animated, aggressively speaking and annoyed acting. Great experience up until I was charged for a service I said "no" to several times. My daughter and I came in for a mani/pedi and I requested the same service for both of us (without Gels/polish only). The two ladies doing the pedicures understood and did as requested. The lady who took care of my daughter was very nice and friendly. The lady who did my manicure decided to do her own thing despite specifically asking me 3 times if I wanted gels and me saying "no" each time. Gels are $17 MORE. She still did it and still charged me. I told the cashier that I said no to gels and another lady spoke up as if she might make it right, so I wanted to see if they'd do the right thing and remove the charge me for that service but they didn't offer. I decided to go ahead and pay (and tip, because the other two ladies deserved it) with the intent of writing this review and never returning. So I hope it was worth the loss of business. read more

I try to stay away from negative posts, but inclined after waking up this morning and seeing my nails. I went in yesterday for a dip manicure and was asked to pick my color. There was a large dip color sign with about 50+ nail colors to choose from. I selected my color and was told they didn't have that color. I mentioned another color and she said we don't have any of those colors advertised on that sign. I've been doing dip manicures for several years at another establishment. I really needed it done today so tried this location since my regular lady was off. Once the lady started my nails, the color she used did not seem to be what I selected. She insisted it was the same. The way she did my nails was definitely a different style than I'm accustomed to. I'm not sure she actually knew how to do it correctly. She didn't seem to like that I wanted my nails filed down and not cut down. I was able to get past all that but overall did not feel she did a good job and I was dissatisfied with the result. I left with dip powder on the sides of my nails and gel clumps on skin. Today I woke up to nails that are chipping, peeling and cuticles that look pretty bad. I came in for a pedicure, the colors are locked up in a glass box, you have to take pictures you can't sit enjoy and pick a color comfortably, you feel very rushed. I did not like that. The water was super hot after I made the comment of it steaming she didn't change my water that I did not like. She asked me if she can cut my toe nails I said no, just make them square please and I grow them out a little to keep them square. Cut them and didn't make them square.my left toe nail wasn't even cut correctly you can feel the nail not straight at all. The place area is nice kept clean relaxing super chill but my service not what I was expecting since this place was recommended by a coworker. I went for a pedicure with a girlfriend after work. I have never been here before but know there are several locations around Bakersfield, so was fine with trying a new salon since that was where my friend suggested. The woman who did my nails was short with me, but I overlooked that. However, she hurt me several times, a couple times while trimming cuticles/cutting back the skin near my nails and the picture attached is of the several scratches she left on the bottom of my left foot while doing my heel treatment/scrub. I have honestly never had a worse pedicure. I checked the bottom of my foot mid pedicure because it was stinging but couldn't see any blood or scratches while my skin was still wet, however walking afterward was very painful and when I got home my husband told me the bottom of my foot was bleeding. I paid and tipped because although it stung, I thought it was just a scratch before I got home. I called to talk to someone, spoke to 2 separate people on the phone to explain what happened. No one apologized and the second guy took down my name and number to "give to his boss". He called back to confirm what color I had done on my toes. I have not heard from "his boss" at this point, but would not recommend anyone go here because I now have an open wound on the bottom of my foot. Will update if I am contacted by owners. read more

This is not the place to go if you want to be pampered and receive what you pay for. The manicure I received was fine. The pedicure did not include what was listed in the book. It said "7 minute massage" and then the lady did 3 minutes and stopped. When I asked if there was supposed to be a 7 minute massage and pointed to it in the book, she acted like she couldn't understand me. Then she charged me $10 over the listed price. One of the other nail techs was loudly arguing with another client behind me about the service she asked for. It was so bad I almost felt like stepping in. I felt bad for the client. This is my second time coming here, and today was my last. The first time the lady was nice but the polish wasn't even at the base of my nail. I do a gel manicure and a super natural almost nail tone color but with polish you still obviously see the difference. This time the girl rushed me into a seat and did a half a** job of removal but more than anything tore up my cuticles 2 fingers were bleeding (mind you I was here 13days prior) But the major red flag was the lack of even caring if it looked decent. The polish was all along the sides of my nail beds. Two fingers I can tell the polish will come up within days and the others you can see the clear coat underneath because the polish again wasn't at the base. Sometimes it's not worth trying to micromanage a service tech on something so visible. You just collect your belongings pay and leave. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst nail salon experience I've ever had. First of all, the salon was visibly dirty and the person who did my nails, an older lady, I'm pretty sure was using dirty tools or at least it looked like it. When I first walked in, I asked for cat eye gel nails, which they offered. The lady hesitantly said yes she could do them, she was obviously lying and I should've known. She started the manicure and she was working slowly, which didn't really bother me but she repeatedly nicked my cuticles and made me bleed twice. When she started the polish she called two different men over and asked them how to do cat eye and they seemed very irritated. After two attempts to do cat eye, one of the men took over and he knew how to do it but it was not how cat eye normally looks, he left a very harsh, dark line in the middle of each nail. If you know what cat eye is you know that that is not what it's supposed to look like. Anyways, by the time my nails were "finished" I'd been sitting there for almost two hours and there were about ten layers of gel polish on my nails, not to mention the top coat on some of the nails felt rough. I wish I had taken a picture. The woman put an excessive amount of oil all over my hands and called it a day. She then told me the cost of the manicure was 60 dollars + tip and I decided to ask her to remove them. I did crash out a little bit but can you blame me? I then asked her to remove the polish and she kept insisting she redo the gel and I refused so she just removed the gel and did a clear top coat which took another 30 minutes. After two and a half hours I left with a clear top coat and sore cuticles. I ended up paying just $25 dollars but I should've walked out without paying a single dollar. I had been coming to this salon for 5 years , I was very fond of the working staff and had even gotten my nails done by Keven himself before and I am extremely disappointed with how this experience has changed for me. I recently went to get them done and the lady who did them didn't do my acrylics right and everytime she would ask me if they were okay I'd tell her nicely to fix something and she would get mad and have attitude with my hands. This was the second time this lady did my nails and the first time I wasn't satisfied either but I still paid for them so this second time I gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she got better but no I was wrong. In the end she said if I didn't like them she could take them off and gave someone else do them and I said okay and when she took them off she told me I can leave and said nobody else wanted to to my nails I was extremely disappointed because I had to walk out of that salon with my nails all messed up with acrylic still on my nails not taken all the way off. I asked to speak to their manager and they said they didn't have a manager and that nobody wanted to to my nails because I was "picky" and like I said in the past 5 years I've never been treated this way here, they've always did my nails how I want them but they got a whole new staff and they are rude, unprofessional and don't know how to to do their job, if I am going to pay for something I expect to like for what I'm paying for, I miss the old staff I was close to them and they always were kind. I've tried emailing Keven myself because I have the whole experience on video but still no response. I hope they hire new people who actually enjoy their job and know how to do it. read more

Pictured: Gel manicure 24 hours after it was done, complete with annihilated cuticles. The nail tech trimmed my "cuticles" almost a quarter inch off the edges of my cuticles. She was going to town and at one point I said owe and she rolled her eyes and said I had thin skin. My fingers HURT. The gel is super uneven and she also filed the sides of my nails after applying the gel so it's already lifting. No two nails share the same shape either. I go here for pedicures and they are okay, this was my first manicure there. Will never return. Hoping these infected areas don't get worse in the next day. Go at your own risk... read more
