We have stayed here 3 years in a row now (24-26) and love the look, and location of Crowne Point Inn. We rent a car and they have a small parking lot, but also have access to a nearby parking area. The Inn is made up of multiple buildings that are nestled together with easy access to the pool, spa and dining area. We always visit in the middle of June to enjoy the great weather, and the best part is sitting out by the pool to get sun and fresh air. Our rooms were always large king size rooms, each with a big bed, and decent bath. Rooms have a balcony with chairs to also sit and enjoy. It was nice to have breakfast daily, and that was one of my favorite amenities. I usually enjoyed an omelet, and usually coffee and a muffin. The Inn staff was friendly, but the housekeeping staff was kind of loud in the mornings yelling towards each other across to each other. With it's cental location, the Crowne Point Inn is perfectly located in Provincetown. read more

We just loved our stay at the Crowne Point. We have been on a 2 week bucket list travel adventure and finished the trip in Provincetown. What an excellent decision for us. We ended up at Crowne Point without a reservation and were so lucky that they had a room. Our experience was so good that we booked another night. We felt welcomed, we felt good there. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was big and very clean. The shower and bathroom were good. The bed comfy and the pillows nice and fluffy. A lot of extras came with our stay such as the restaurant where the free breakfast is prepared from a menu, a beautiful patio with hot tub and pool, a 5 pm wine hour where guests get together in a nice way. The location is perfect. Near enough to Commercial Street to easily walk. We will definitely come back and thank all the staff for making our stay so perfect read more

BEAUTIFUL historic building. The ambiance in the courtyard between all of the units is unbelievable! The little kitchen where you place your breakfast order and the view of the tower from the enclosed porch were TOP TIER! The proximity to commercial street is epic, too. About 2-3 minute walk down the beautiful streets and you're there! Unfortunately, our stay was effected by construction starting at 7am on the property each morning... And for the price of the room, we had hoped for a better experience. We stayed during the 2nd week of May and fully understand that construction & maintenance need to happen, but a discount or even just a phone call for full disclosure would have made me feel a lot better. Some other things to consider. No microwave in the room. The upstairs units get very hot in the afternoons with the sun, and units 309, 310 & 311 are above the spa and smell of chlorine. The parking situation is not ideal if you have a lot of bags (or birthday presents) to carry. It's about 1/4 mile walk up a side street and your vehicle is just left in a parking lot where you cannot see it or get to it quickly. read more

The daily full breakfast is the perfect way to start the day and there is also a wine and cheese social around 5 pm the begin the evening. I especially appreciate the personal service I received from Chris and all the staff, even small details are not overlooked, they really go above and beyond with service. Very friendly staff, wonderful rooms that feel like home, and a highly walkable location just a stone's throw from town. Every time we are in town this is our go-to hotel. The back pool area and the little hot tub/zen area is a wonderful touch. We have yet to make it to the spa (despite our best efforts we keep getting carried away with various activities and exploring in town), but the entrance looks inviting. The 5 pm wine hour also gives an opportunity to sample and socialize. The included breakfast always has a wonderful little gluten-free option, usually, it is the omelet. Additionally, somewhere (usually on the little counter by the kitchen or by the condiments) there is some gluten-free carb option sometimes bread, sometimes a muffin. What an unforgettable, hospitable, beautiful, gracious experience it was to stay here this past weekend. We took full advantage of all the amenities provided, which was more than I could have even known to ask for: complimentary wine and cheese social, complimentary breakfast to order, complimentary access to the Shui Spa and complimentary parking. We purchased the dining and spa package which included both a gorgeous view with two appetizers and two entrees as well as two 55 minute massages. The hotel staff was attentive, thoughtful and genuine. The massage was by far the best I've ever had, Matthew is a genius with his hands. The room was clean, complete with Keurig machine, jetted tub, fireplace and shared balcony with a quaint view. It's also located right off Commercial street which was hopping with friendly and fabulous fellow travelers, shops, cafes, to-die-for restaurants and monuments. Crowne has pluses and minuses. Minuses outweighed pluses. Wouldn't go back. Pluses - very clean room and bathroom, very comfy bed and pillows, large bathroom, parking included, nice breakfast. Minuses - after checkin, shown to the room by host, up the equivalent of two steep flights of 1800s era uncovered outdoor stairs (in the rain), host does not help with he luggage, just shows you where the room is. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and resorts and although we have often had our luggage taken to the room, we never needed that to be done for us. There is no elevator. This is the first time we have ever really wanted help with our luggage but they don't do that. They call themselves a luxury hotel, but this makes it not a luxury hotel. They call themselves casual luxury, but their approach to their patrons is the casual part. At breakfast, you order your food at the kitchen and pick it up yourself, along with self serve Continental items and beverages. Not luxury. They have a tip jar, fair enough. I went to the front desk to change a $20 to tip, they don't do that. Very casual, for them. The main floor is a flight up from street level. They have over 30 rooms but on site parking for 5 cars, plus two for checking in. I.e., you have to park off-site, which is included, but doing so means then walking back to the hotel and up the equivalent of 3 flights of steep stairs so you need to think carefully about accessing your car. The attic room was small. I bumped my head against the angled wall while putting my jacket over the back of a chair. Not luxury. TV is 36", adequate. My guess is that given their casual approach to patrons, while the linens are washed and changed regularly, the blankets aren't. Not going back. read more

This is my first stay here in Provincetown and stayed on the first floor by the fountain. I am on the fence if I would stay here again. When I checked in, no one was at the front desk, but a staff member was nearby and saw us and did not help. The room is nice, very cozy, but when we walked into the bathroom, we found the mini fridge unplugged and water was all over the floor and I had to clean it up. It looks like it was being de thawed, but I had to deal with it. So, that meant my mini fridge was not cool and I arrived and had items to put in there, so it was very disappointing. Then, music was playing in the courtyard as early as 9 AM daily and the staff was working even earlier making noise. My room must've been right by the speakers cause I could hear in the bathroom all day. Parking was also an issue, there are very few spots in on the first day I had to pay $30 to park across the street. I got a spot the second day but then someone blocked me in. I didn't report it because it wasn't a big deal, but I feel like that should never happen. It would be nice if the hotel gave you $30, basically a voucher, to park across the street. It is not fair for some guests to get free parking and others don't. Overall, I like the room and the location, but they were too many headaches to deal with. read more

A very nice place. The parking is a bit wonky so be prepared. In the end, once you check in, they assign you a place nearby, very very close, to park. It's not a big deal but if you are not prepared for it, the fact that there is limited-to-no parking at the Inn front office can be unexpected especially if you arrive at peak check-in hours. But keep your patience, find a temporary spot to park as you check in, and you will be rewarded. Friendly staff, well located area, clean and historic. Very nice. Cannot say enough about the Crowne Pointe Inn. Our stay there was way to short as my girlfriend fell and broke her hip on the second day. The staff was superb, no panic, very calm, did everything we could have asked, called the local emt's for a wheelchair, handled the checkout, the bags, ME.... since I was beginning to feel I was very close to a little panic attack. I'm sure it wasn't the case, but it did seem like we had someone there at every turn. Thank you so very much for all your help. Oh yes, the inn is fabulous, absolutely beautiful, very clean and comfortable, loved the pillows. delicious food - breakfast, dinner, wine. Easy to get anywhere in town. 2nd time here and even better than the first! As always with breakfast, daily afternoon wine and cheese reception, spa and pool deck with bar service at any time, Crowne Point is quite the hidden deal with impeccable service all around. Traveling with 3 this time we upgraded to a two floor suite which is impeccably decorated and really worth every penny with two full baths, private upper deck, kitchen and dining area (only downside is the upper floor in 404 seems a bit structurally slanted so the furniture is uneven so I'd recommend another suite choice when booking). The staff tirelessly works to keep the Crowne Point looking top notch, even with a daily turn down so your rooms are attended two twice daily. Can't recommend The Pointe Restaurant enough - only regret is we didn't eat there a 2nd time. Shui Spa is a great plus, something you'll probably never find in another Ptown accommodation. My boyfriend and best friend had massages and I had my first pedicure ever. Enjoy if you choose to stay here - you'll love it! read more

This is a fantastic, extremely restful, welcoming and friendly place. The wine and cheese socials in the afternoon are great, the breakfast each morning is very good. The Shui Spa seemed like they did great stuff and the mineral bath and steamroom were amazing. We were upgraded because it was the off-season, to a sweet room with a fireplace, a full kitchen and a whirlpool tub. It really was something special. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are looking for something relaxing in the off-season. read more

Having just stayed here there's some pros and some cons one should consider. First the pros. 1. Great staff, all very friendly and helpful. 2. Lovely outdoor space and pool...pool is very small however. 3. Location, great location, easy to get into town. 4. Breakfast was very good and nicely presented. 5. High quality spa with great service. Now for the cons. 1. Absolutely overpriced...The rates for this hotel should be $100 a night less then what they are charging being they've had to cut services. 2. The bed and bedding are absolutely horrid. Hampton Inns have better beds, sheets and duvets. If you want a good night sleep..don't stay here. My back is killing me from the bed... Complained the first morning and was told all the beds are the same...fail. 3. Rooms are very dark with little natural light. 4. Fit and finish of the rooms are not up to what you'd expect from a 4 start hotel. Hanging TV wires, worn out furniture, a common shower area with the bed that anytime it would steam up the smoke detector would go off. 5. No nightly bar service until Thursday night. 6. Parking is mainly off site and expect to find your car covered in water spots from the sprinklers. Overall I would not recommend staying here at the rates they charge nor would I stay here again. read more

I recommend Crowne Point to two couples wanting an in-town location while visiting PT! I am sorry I did as each time we stopped in to visit them the staff was unwelcoming. On their first night they asked us to join them at 5:00 for wine before deciding on dinner. The staff came out while I was standing with the guest and pointed to me and said "is this man staying at the inn?" He then said "I will have to charge them $25.00 per person". It's not about the money, but about the way it was handled. Not only was I embarrassed, but the guest staying with them was upset..it could have been handled discreetly. Having said that, each time we stopped in to see them it made us feel watched and unwanted. I am not going to stoop The the staffs level by trashing the place, but I feel some much needed changes could make this inn a better place to stay/visit. Made a reservation online for 9 pm 7/13. Arrived 15 minutes early. No one even acknowledged our presence. Around 9:05, we managed to get the attention of a waiter and told him of the reservation and asked who were supposed to check in with. He said the kitchen was already closed and offered not even a pleasant sorry for the mix-up. Inexcusable customer service. Could understand due to coronavirus if the reservation system was messed up about hours but the response from the waiter was inexecusable. Likely won't go back - at least not anytime. read more

Could not have asked for a better place to spend our minimoon. The accommodations were perfect- ample room space, comfortable bed, large bathroom with heater for post-showering, pool, hot tub. The spa's mineral bath, sauna, and steam room were uncrowded and a great respite from the fun of downtown. The complimentary happy hour wine and cheese offerings by the pool were a well-timed treat after our days spent trekking around the beach on our bikes. We indulged in a spa package which included a couples massage and dinner for two. Joseph and Marilyn were fantastic and the dinner to follow was the best meal we had during our entire trip and great value to boot. Everyone was friendly and quick to help with recommendations for first-time Ptown visitors. We could not boast enough about our stay and can't wait to return! read more

I am loving this hotel!!! My room is a huge private suite with fireplace deck and parking directly out front. While the furnishing are not lavish they are very cape cod. Comfortable and clean is all anyone up here really wants. They are also insanely pet friendly. They provided my dog with bed , bowls, treats and didn't get mad when she jumped in the pool. Did not stay here but made and cancelled reservations. Beware of bait and switch tactics and very poor customer service!!! After doing the research to find what I thought was a good value, I booked their "Escape Package" on-line, weeks in advance for a special occasion. This package was suppose to offer credits to the Spa and their restaurant. A week and half before our arrival, I tried to make the restaurant reservation only to find out that the restaurant is only open Wed - Sun., days that we were NOT there. When I called Crowne Pointe and spoke with the manager, to inquire how this would be handled, he glibly said that "the website shouldn't have accepted the reservation, but he could book us a discounted "stay 2-day offer (w/o Spa)" instead or cancel the reservation. I explained that the 2-day offer was not nearly as good of a value as the "Escape package" we were expecting and if there was anything he could do to honor what we had or at least get a better rate. Here comes the obnoxious part. His reply was that the 2-day rate would actually "save us money since it was cheaper than the package rate." "You only get the Spa credits if you use them each day of your stay". Now I can understand policy or limits on what your pay grade allows you to discount, BUT it is never good practice to BS your customers! Obviously, we booked the Escape package because we were planning on using the Spa and getting that value!! I felt like he did not want our business and just repeated his offer to cancel. WHICH WE DID!!! Crowne Pointe wasted our time and caused us to have to find alternate accommodations. Beware of their poor business practices and poor customer service! read more

Absolutely loving our stay here! We are staying for our babymoon, our last vacation alone just the two of us, and this place is perfect. We got a king room with a whirlpool tub, fireplace and balcony. The whirlpool tub is pretty powerful, and nice and relaxing. The fireplace didn't work at first (cause we turned some knobs we shouldn't have), and daniel, david, john, and the rest of the staff worked above and beyond and made sure it worked the next morning. The balcony isn't really a balcony, its kinda like a porch that you walk through to get into your room. It has a great view, especially at sunset, but there are no chairs, and its not private (you share it with the guests next door). but we spend most of our time outside the room anyway, so it didn't matter. We brought our small service dog, and they were kind enough to provide bowls for food, water, and even some treats! There's always coffee/tea in the lobby, a cheese and wine social every day from 5-6 in the club room, and a good included hot breakfast in the morning (we ordered the farmer's omelette and pancake). They also have a continental buffet available in addition to your hot ordered item. I liked the cherry cream cheese croissant and gluten free blueberry muffin. We also got a couples massage at the spa. I'm 32 weeks pregnant, and they even had a prenantal masseur for me who tailored it to my preference. I get massages regularly for my neck and shoulders so I like a lot of pressure, and I was not disappointed. It was so good, so relaxing, I even fell asleep at the end. Even if you don't get any spa treatments, the spa is available for guests. Definitely go down there when its too cold outside and use the hot tub! There are nice relaxing lounges, tea, and a large hot tub to relax in. Also a sauna and steam room. They even provide bath salts so you can be nicely exfoliated when you shower! To top it all off we had a romantic dinner at the crowne pointe restaurant. It far exceeded our expectations. We normally don't eat at hotel restaurants, but this dinner was delicious. The bread comes with hummus...which I totally filled up too much on! For appetizers we got the lobster gnocchi with chives in a cream and butter sauce. IT WAS AMAZING. we were not expecting it to be as good as it was. The gnocchi was pillowy and soft, the lobster was perfectly cooked, and the sauce...mhmmmmm the sauce! buttery, creamy, a little sweet, very savory, it all worked so well together. Then we both got the 2 lb lobster. We don't usually order this, but it was off season, and hard to find well priced lobster anywhere else. It was huge! beautifully prepared, came with corn, all the tools you need and a bib. We attacked it. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner on the enclosed porch with the high tower of provincetown in the background. I doubt we'll have time to enjoy romantic dinners like this in the next year, so I'm grateful we had this meal and this vacation. Everything was well priced and delicious. All in all, we are having an amazing time here, we still have 2 days and 1 night left, and we're gonna make the most of it! So angry about the service here. Room smells of cigarettes and farts. After getting in late from our wedding, she was crying and emotional as any bride would be right after getting married and finding out the room looks nothing like the photoshopped bs photo of paradise they promise. The guy bangs on our door and tells us to be quite or he will call the police, knowing it's our wedding night! I told him go ahead because we are locals from Eastham who just wanted to get way from family for 2 days after getting married. The fun doesn't stop there! We get scalped by booking.com which charges us twice the rate posted on the crown point website. Finally, as you may have read on other postings we got the tiny little room with the little dumb closet, where there is not enough room even to place 2 small carry on bags. Picture frame falls off the wall. Generally we are just pissed off about getting threatened on our special day. Part 2: So they read my review and they try to make things right, I thought we were clear from reading part one of my experience here. English lady manager at front desk is rude and talks down to me like I owe them! The definition of excellent service is to go out of your way to make things right. Well we got snubbed, rudely threatened AGAIN to leave the property, and they promise we would not have a good time and should leave. Well they were right as they continued to mistreat us as nasty as they could it would seem as if they don't like us because we don't make it rain on them! We feel so hurt by the disrespect and lack of good service or a sincere apology for how our special night went. Turns out this place isn't really historic it was opened in 1998... so yeah... false advertising again if I'm not mistaken. The upgraded place was cute, but then we get grossed out by the pair of shoes we find in the freezer! Wow! A dirty pair of converse next to my ice cubes. The last people who left them in there prolly also disapproved of their tight wad and selfish attitudes here. Owner does nothing to correct the ice cube situation other than grab the shoes out. At least notify me of the existence of an ice machine as we still have not been properly introduced to the property and all its amenities! Have some respect to some young hardworking newlyweds! Worst managed hotel I have ever been to! Break my girls heart, and then bust our balls with disrespect after that. We move into the new spot and realize that this nicer room has soapy bubble mix... why didn't our first room have this? The one star stands! Happy I'm a registered guest and a Google local guide so they can be reminded of their folly forever! I certainly won't forget my experience at Crud Point! Drop the letter e from the end of each word in your name because your not as fancy as you think for that price. What a wonderful place to stay! The staff is extremely accommodating and kind. Especially David, who helped us through a frustrating mix up at another location (won't get into details here). The rooms were extremely clean and modern. Not very spacious, but certainly enough room for two people to relax. I loved the whirlpool tub, gas fire place, and bed! The keurig in the room is a nice touch, but the creamer and sugar packets? Yuck! I think a little splurge on some small milk or cream would go a long way. Breakfast was included and wonderful. This review also concerns the Bistro at Crowne Point. Absolutely atrocious food, especially for the price. We went here for our 5th anniversary dinner and honestly, we could have gone to the Cheesecake Factory--or hell, even to somewhere like Dennys--and it would have been 500 times better than the food here. Appetizers seemed like they came right from the microwave. The spring rolls were warm and oddly chewy. The potatoes that came with my husband's duck were hands down the most bland tasting bits of starch I've ever had--and I've never met a potato I didn't like until this meal. My filet mignon had the strangest garnish--a heaping mound of what seemed to be dead, dried-out grass of some sort (although in retrospect it could have been shredded fried turnips or something like that) and was pointy, tasteless and ugly to boot. It was mind-boggling. Who in their right mind would think that dead grass on a steak was appetizing? We were warned by a local in town to steer clear of this place and ohhhh how I wish we had. In fact, we considered canceling that reservation, but very smart on their part, if you cancel within 24 hrs they charge you $25. I figure they assume you'll get into town and hear the news about the crap food and cancel. The wine list was really odd. Some things were WAY overpriced and others were way under. It was so haphazard pricewise, almost like the sommelier was clueless. Two things were ok that night: 1. ambiance and service was excellent 2. it was 2 for 1 entree night so we felt slightly less like we had just been ripped off. This Inn is perfect. The food, the spa, the rooms, the staff, all perfect. We had a wonderful weekend here and hope to get back sometime. From the moment we arrived they go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. We arrived very late on a Thursday night and they called to check on us and let us know how to access the late check in box which came with instructions for finding our room. Breakfast is delicious, you can have made to order or grab and go. Pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, omelets, pancakes all good. And excellent coffee! The spa is available for use your entire stay with steam room, sauna, hot tub, towels, lounge chairs and plenty of water and tea. We had a couples massage and it was one of the best we've had. So attentive to my tight neck and shoulders and we felt so much better afterwards. The stays include a wine and cheese reception from 5-6 every night. We met some wonderful people! Dinner was everything we could have asked for. The salmon was delicious, stuffed crab was wonderful, cod was out of this world. The staff is so friendly and makes you feel very welcome. They offer lots of suggestions on places to eat, things to do, and where to go. Cannot say enough good things about this place! read more

My fiance and I spent this past weekend here in celebration of our anniversary based on the recommendation of a friend. We usually are not B&B fans due to the fact that they tend to be old and creaky. But Crowne Pointe looked much more modern and updated on the website, so we figured we'd give it a shot. We ended up booking the Cape Escape package, which included 2 nights, 2 breakfasts for us both, 1 2-course dinner for us both and 1 spa treatment for each of us (we ended up doing the couples' massage). We had requested a whirlpool tub and were able to get one. Our room was sort of an odd layout - you walked into the bedroom, which included a nightstand on one side of the queen bed and an old fold-top desk on the other, an armoir with a flat-screen TV and DVD player on top, a table and chair and a sink. Next to the sink was a closet. I am listing everything because it wasn't a big room - it was rather crowded. From the bedroom, you walked into a long bathroom with a sink and then the whirlpool tub. After the tub you got to another small room which was just the toilet. We just found it to be rather an odd layout. And apparently the ventilation wasn't great - every time we used the tub or shower, the entire bathroom would steam up and the windows and doorknob on the main door to the room would be covered in condensation! Also, the room had 3 mirrors but they were ALL in the bathroom. So those got covered too. Odd layout aside, there was a fairly loud, constant humming noise in the room. We mentioned something to the front desk but they never did anything about it. I also saw a silverfish bug in the bathroom.... I chalked it all up to an old building being outfitted with new heating. We attended the wine & cheese hour on the first day (the pastries during the day? Nothing great - just 2 plates of muffins and cakes. I expected something much more elaborate and tasty.) and we met some nice people. There was a great spread - both wine, beer & food - and found it interesting that there was no one there explaining the different wine... But then again, it's a social - not a tasting. We didn't attend the second night because we didn't want to fill up before our anniversary dinner at The Bistro. The package included a 2-course dinner for 2. I ended up with a special Red Pepper and White Bean soup that was delicious. Very hearty but not overwhelmingly heavy and not creamy at all. My fiance got the Clam Chowder which he said was really great. We both opted for the Chef's Signature Entrée Savory 8oz Grilled Filet Mignon - Green beans and mushrooms, goat cheese pastry pockets, cabernet-veal reduction. We both got it without mushrooms and my fiance substituted mashed potatoes for the pastry pockets. Yes, our steak did come with the below-mentioned dried-out grass on top, but it's called presentation. I thought it made the plate look that much more dressed up. The steak was a rather large piece that was cooked perfectly. The entire meal (especially the sauce) was great. Despite being INCREDIBLY full, we decided to splurge on a piece of Cranberry Cheesecake (which they don't have listed on the menu). OH MY. Sooo good. It was a huge piece, served with some sort of gingersnap ice cream? I don't know. It was divine though. The breakfasts both days were good, but nothing spectacular. I've only stayed at one B&B before (I reviewed it on here - the Gaslight in Atlanta) and that's what I will always base my B&B experiences on. The breakfast there was much more impressive. Neither had a huge array of food - the usual options of bagels, english muffins, yogurt, granola, etc. - but at Crowne Pointe, they do a special each day. The first day it was French Toast Casserole (where the casserole bit came into play I have NO idea) with sausage and scrambled eggs. I would have liked to know that whip cream came with it as well. The second day it was Sweet Potato Pancakes with bacon and eggs. I expected potato pancakes. They were regular pancakes.... They also only had OJ or water - no other juice options. The service in the restaurant was great for both breakfast & dinner. Everyone throughout the weekend was ultra friendly and accommodating. The spa was very nice and our massages were great. We didn't like the automatic 18% gratuity - that's a lot for a massage - but oh well. We most likely won't be going back - it's not that close and we prefer modern hotels - but we're glad we went. read more

I spent two lovely nights here while in Provincetown for my best friend's bachelorette. She wanted a luxurious weekend, and this place definitely fit the bill. Our little apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel itself is conveniently located about 5 minutes' walk from all the fun downtown. The hotel amenities were the real MVP of the weekend though. We soaked in the pool, then in the hot tub, then in the mineral bath. We had complimentary wine and cheese every night. We spent way too long in the sauna. We had a delicious made-to-order breakfast every morning. It's definitely one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've had, and I'd say if you're in Provincetown for a special event like this, it is worth the $$$. It's also a quiet, older crowd. We wouldn't have minded if it had been louder, but for the less crazy tourists out there, this is a huge plus. I hope to come back and enjoy the hospitality and comfort of this hotel next time I'm in Provincetown! read more

We just got back from the Holly Folly weekend and stayed at Crowne Point. We will never go back. Here is why! 1. The bed we slept in was so uncomfortable. It wasn't just that it was a soft mattress. It was also unbalanced. I truly sufferend. 2. The omelette we had had no cheese in it and it arrived cold. 3. Where was the ice? And the person who took us to our rooms was cold as ice. 4. Had an incredible spa weekend here and enjoyed every second. From the front desk to the masseuse at the spa, everyone was super friendly and helpful. The massage I had was one of the best I've ever experienced, and the spa was very relaxing and healing. Also loved that as a guest at the hotel you can use the spa whenever you want. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was also consistently amazing! We'll be returning! read more

This review concerns the Bistro at Crowne Point 82 Bradford Street Provincetown MA We're from the Boston area and we went to the Bistro at Crowne Point in Provincetown during our vacation in late June 2007. There were the problems with our meals at the Bistro at Crowne Point. 1. A nice EVO oil and balsamic dipping plate was provided for the bread basket. However the bread basket had raisin bread in it. I'm very sorry, but I don't even know where to begin on what "level of wrong" it is to have raisin bread even near a plate of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. 2. My wife's crab cake did not feature the mango yogurt sauce as described in the menu, resulting in a very dry and fairly unpalatable crab cake. 3. My wife's open face sandwich was served with a top slice of bread, therefore defying the concept of the open faced sandwich. 4. Get this. Curry powder on the sweet potato fries. Wrist slap or a ruler across the knuckles? You be the judge... (Anyone we tell about this monstrously unsavory and distasteful combination either gasps aloud or displays an anguished facial expression) 5. My lobster ravioli in tomato vodka sauce was sickeningly sweet, reminiscent of any atrociously plebian "comfort food" option at the Cheesecake factory. No excuses for this. The only positive point about The Bistro at Crowne Point was that the service was very good (for a pre-tourist season Saturday evening). Conclusion: Don't bother with The Bistro at Crowne Point. Spend the same amount on fine cuisine at the Mews or Front Street and you'll be almost guaranteed to have a definitively enjoyable meal. I love the Crowne Pointe Inn so much! Beautifully maintained grounds, lovely rooms, great restaurant and breakfast, superb and professional guest service. The wine and cheese hour is fab, get a nice buzz on before dinner! Then try the lobster gnocchi in the restaurant. To die for. However, the best thing about the Inn is the spa, the use of which is free for guests. What a rejuvenating experience! There is a beautiful and serene mineral soak tub, a steam room with complementary salt scrub and an authentic sauna that reminds me of Finland. Shower, soak, sauna, stream, repeat-- until you feel like a spring chicken! The facility is tastefully decorated, serene, well-maintained and clean. Treat yourself to a massage with Barb. She is amazing and you will spend an hour in utter bliss. I've spent two weekends here so far can't wait to come back! read more
