Got a sugaring and vajacial. Normally I get super red and I'm a sensitive after but I didn't have any issues here. The sugaring itself I don't think was as painful to begin with but having the vajacial after really helped everything soothe. If you're pretty sensitive to waxing or sugaring I highly suggest coming here and adding the vajacial. I also tend to get ingrowns so I hope it will help with preventing those. I only trust Dominque with my eyelashes! My eyes are very sensitive due to my allergies and her technique and products never cause any issues like I have had with other places in the past. What a wonderful experience with Dominique!! She's so pleasant to chat with, thorough, gentle, and very experienced. I have super sensitive skin plus thick stubborn hair and my sugaring provided the best possible outcome: my skin was only minimally red and the reaction was gone by the time I got home (unlike my experience at other places when my skin stays irritated for an hour or more). My only tip is that parking might be tricky so get there early (I parked on the Chase side at noon on Fri and it was very full). I love getting my Brazilian wax done by her. She makes me feel comfortable. Her conversation is always personable. She knows what she's doing and I am always satisfied with the outcome. However, I wanted to start supporting Black owned businesses and women who are like minded. I did some research and came across Esthetics Queendom (Crowned & Bougie Day Spa). When I had my first service I was extremely nervous. Literally sweating bullets. But Ms. D made the experience so comfortable by being nurturing and  normalizing the process. I returned. And I continued to return. And each time I've gone back I've been more pleased. The environment is welcoming, Ms. D's energy is never negative, and she keeps it real. I have extremely sensitive skin so I choose to use sugaring for all hair removal services. The sugar she uses is perfect. It doesn't irritate my skin, doesn't leave an excessive stickiness, and goes on smooth (which could be aquated her technique). Oh, and she sends out weekly newsletters, interacts with her clients, and has lots of promotions. I'm telling you, she's the best at her craft. First red flag. She canceled my appointment due family emergency. That's fine, stuff happens. I'm always so busy! So I asked to be refunded the money, I planned on scheduling with someone that may be available and check her out the following month, after all she was referred to me by a friend. She said no due policies and that I can have credit. Great! "I'll use that next month or whenever I'll have time." I'm finally ready to schedule and it's asking for my card information, so I'm asking her what would I apply there for the credit. She says put card info and she'll take care of the credit. ((Me worried, she may cancel g )) I wasn't really feeling that. Anyway there was only one time slot open for the day I wanted. while we texting someone booked that appointment!!! She states: It is completely booked for today btw. You may use the link to schedule a regular Brazilian Wax and I will take care of the credit after that. Thanks so much! Beware: Do not get micro-bladed here. While I waited 3 years to write this for fear she would cause drama, I decided to warn others. I was told by many to sue her for permanent disfiguration as she incorrectly micro-bladed my eyebrows. She went too deep in the dermis so her micro-blading became permanent tattoos in certain areas. The ink bled so I had blotchy areas instead of hair stroke on parts of my brows. They were not symmetrical at all so I didn't do the second session. 3 years later, they are still here, looking horrible that I have to cover them up with makeup. No professional will correct them because of how bad of a job she did and they don't want people thinking they did it. I'm now paying hundreds of dollars per session for laser tattoo removal to try and remove them. On a separate note, I used to get waxed by her too and she would always cancel last minute and send you very unprofessional texts. I once took an Uber to my appointment cause my car got hit so I was 10 mins late and I sat in the waiting room for 15, then proceeded to tell me I was too late and charged me anyways. She's very unprofessional on various occasions and shouldn't be texting customers the way she does. I now go somewhere else for my waxing and even the new girl has heard horror stories about her. She says she has gained many of her clients over the years. Update: her response is exactly what I was expecting, attitude, no accountability and is why I didn't originally want to post about it cause I'm not confrontational. If you notice in her response, she doesn't apologize once for permanently scaring a client, or last minute cancelling many appointments, just blaming the customer. To her note: I did not have temper tantrum cause I have anxiety and can't handle that. I did however express concern that it was uneven to which she responded to give it time to heal that she would fix it on the second round but after getting consultations to fix it I was told she did it permanently and wrong, that is why I never came back nor ever talked to her again. This was meant for my wedding so you can understand my stress of having now horrible brows. The price didn't matter to me and just because you are new to something doesn't mean you disfigure a client for practice. I didn't address it to her because of her previous unprofessional actions so didn't want the drama and went to get consultations from many others telling me how bad it was that I finally went to my dermatologist where she gave me the bad news that I would need laser removal. No amount of "fixing" can fix that. As for cancelling, I was 100% charged for an appointment I didn't receive even though I was there sitting in the office for 15 mins after contacting her I would be 10 mins late from an accident. No one was in a session before me, I was just sitting there then she came out and said she couldn't service me and charged me. All the other times she cancelled hours before or the same day were her own accord. Many times it was a day before I was going on a trip and couldn't reschedule on time leaving me hanging. This was on multiple multiple occasions. Usually a text excuse a few hours before or morning if and when you told her that it was unappreciated to cancel so last minute, she would get aggressive and unprofessional through text. I didn't read her whole response because I assume it's her not taking accountability, as I expected and is why I would avoid her services. She response says it all. She's very unprofessional and avoid her services if this is the type of response you want. Be careful who touches your face. I learned the hard way and still literally paying for it. read more

I ain't gonna lie.. I'm frugal as hell. I am always looking for deals when it comes to self-care services which means I usually don't return unless a place I liked has a good deal going. Esthetics Queendom is different. I will DEFINITELY be back. Just from walking up the stairs, smelling the remnants of fragrance from incense burning made me feel like this is my type of place. Then, walking in and seeing Dominique with a genuine smile made me feel really welcome. I bought the wax any 3 deal thinking it was such a steal and then found out that the regular pricing is literally just as good... the packages all make sense and are reasonably priced. This review is based on interaction prior to service - that I didn't receive. Bad 1st impression. 1. Didn't have a slot for 2 days - You shouldn't say walk-ins are welcome on Yelp when you leave no room in your appointment block to account for walk-ins for 2 days. Somewhat understandable. 2. The entrance is in the back. Who knew!? (Not this transplant!) - there is a sign on the front door that says use other door. But there are 2 other stores right next door. Perhaps the sign should read "go around back" or " use back entrance"... good advice right? Wrong. When I told this to the owner ( I assume) she said," oh, it's pretty well known" and brushed me off! It's not well known because I'm not from around here! Good luck finding the place if you're not a local! I had to cut through a hair salon! After not getting an appointment AND being brushed off, I was kindly told to close the door behind me on the way out as she walked the other way. Apparently her service is good if you can get that far. I hope you read this and treat the next person new to the area better than you did me. After response from owner: Miss, it is reasonable that you only have 2 hands and are only 1 person. However, as someone who has not been there before, I have no way of knowing you are a 1 women show. It would have been reasonable to wait even up to an hour. The issue was not that I couldn't get an appointment - that's happens. I was disappointed yes, but the issue was how I had trouble arriving and how I was dealt with upon arrival. In your haste to get back to servicing you current client, you rushed me off. Please realize, I have no way of knowing you don't have a receptionist or you work alone. You seemed like a nice person, just rushed. But that can come off wrong. I did read all signage- that says "use other door". When google maps takes you the street front, it's very confusing to get to your entrance whether you consider it front or back. Terrible customer service!! The worst. I had an appointment for 515. We live in the Bay Area. Traffic is nuts. I called her at 445 to let her know I was going to be a 10 min late, she didn't answer. So I drive 45 min in traffic and get there 10 min late. Once I finally get inside she informs me that she saw me calling but thought it was a spam number so she didn't answer it. And now because I'm 10 min late she can no longer do the appointment. She told me she needs the whole 2 hour window and her paperwork takes at least 10 min. I ask her what kind of set she can do and she says nothing because she needs the 2 hour window and she can't push anyone else back. So now I will have driven 1.5 hrs for nothing. She offered to do it early in the AM but I'm going out of town and needed them done. Very unprofessional. If you run a business and have appointments answer your phone! My number was on my booking form. I tried to let her know I was going to be late, she should have been more communicative. Waste of my afternoon, now I'm about to drive home in 5pm traffic. *EDITED TO INCLUDE PIC* after I reviewed my experience she sent me this. 1.
