I once kissed a stripper on the mouth in Las Vegas. That is now the second grossest thing I've ever done. 1. This place is FILTHY. The walls are covered in greasy gunk. The door knobs are somehow both sticky and slimy. Everything has a layer of dust. The products are old looking and covered in dried goo (See photo). She doesn't appear to have a sink or even clean towels. I didn't see any hygienic or cleanliness efforts whatsoever. I noticed all this when... 2. She took, not one, but TWO personal calls during my Brazilian! She held her personal cell phone right over my bits as she took said calls. She didn't wash her hands after either. She then stepped outside to meet her friend leaving me spread eagle and covered in wax! No hand washing after that either. 3. I thought that given all her good reviews here, at least she probably does a really good job. She did not. I got out of there as quickly as I could but when I got home, I saw that she also left not just a few strays, but actual chunks of hair. It's like she did 80% of the job. I was a red, swollen, still hairy mess who was lucky she didn't end up with a staph infection. Summing up the experience perfectly, when the wax was finished, she handed me a stained and visibly dirty piece of fabric that was not even a towel to wipe my oily hands on. I love coming to Kat's! She is so nice and the place is small so it gives me a really home-y feeling so I feel more comfortable. When you want to get a Brazilian wax, you are going to feel nervous and uncomfortable because you're showing someone a place that you don't really show anyone else, however Kat makes you feel the opposite. It's also easy to just text her and let her know when I need my next appointment to be and she responds back really quick, or if something changes she is really great with working things out with me. It also makes me happy to come her because she doesn't pressure me like other wax locations and I don't feel as anxious to have to make an appointment. Another thing I appreciate is the price! I've gone to Katerina a handful of times for a spray tan which is something that she recently added to her services. She did a great job, the tan was even, looked great and she even gave me some great tips on how to make it last longer (which worked)!! She has convenient hours and can fit me in at almost anytime I need. She has such a nice personality and I never feel rushed when I go to see her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone! I have been going to Kat for almost a year now...she actually did my very first Brazillian Wax...and I continued going to her for a few reasons...#1. She speaks English. No offense to our non-English speaking folk, but ill stick to getting my nails done...when it comes to waxing my hoo-ha I need clear and accurate communication from both parties...plus I don't know how to swear in Vietnamese. #2. She made me feel comfortable...oddly I didn't feel awkward holding a conversation with this woman I just met...spread eagle in front of her while she ripped hair off my body in places we all wish it did not grow..lol #3. She doesn't mind when I cuss her out. What can I say...I'm a wimp...and when I am feeling wimpy the only thing to soothe me is f-bombs and sobs.... I came her with a groupon, or maybe a living social deal I cant recall. Katerina is super nice and informative on the process. When i first called to make an appointment she informed me her hours of operations and it didnt quite work out and she was very willing to try and help me put with getting me scheduled which is super thoughtful. I got off the phone with out an apt and looked at her website and made an appointment through there which was very convenient. I walked in and its in a small room. She asked what i was kinda looking for, and i told her. She tanned me a medium dark I think it was, at first I was thinking "this is prob not gonna get me that tan" buuuuut I really liked the color!!! I went to Katarina for my first Brazilian wax. The minute I spoke to her on the phone I knew she would be great. I went to her office. Its small and cozy and perfectly close to my house. She is funny and makes you very comfortable considering you are pretty naked on that table and revealing quite a bit of parts that only has been truly seen by my husband and ob/gyn. I did not have any kind of rash afterwards like I did at another place where I had my face waxed. No problems with ingrown hair that I know of and already my hair thickness and growth rate subsided. I absolutely adore Katarina. Wish I had more hair so I could go back and see her more often ;) I would love for my husband to go too but he is too shy and scared.
