My initial experience w/ Crowns was a frustrating one as some have mentioned in the few negative reviews on here. I too tried to do a walk in and realized quickly that while I needed a haircut I would just call for an appointment that worked better for me. I dont want to come across negative but you have to know you get what you pay for. This is a popular barber shop in FF and as everyone has stated its for good reason. With a popular shop you have to identify who's style and skills match best with you and if you dont know then bounce around until youre totally happy. I have only ever been cut by TJ and while his cuts (and admittedly those of most of the other barbers) take a bit longer its because its an AMAZING haircut. I want someone taking the time to cut my hair so good he wants to take a pic to add to his photo book/instagram, If TJ were taking his time and doing a terrible job than I would have an issue. But if he needs 45 min to give me one of the best haircuts I have ever had than I will take that in a heartbeat. The negative comments seem to be coming from Moms of some clients and I get that, they dont understand why it would take that long or why would theyd have to make an appointment but ask there kids how fresh and good they felt after and I bet they will come back if they could pick. Bottom line MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, if you dont youll sit for an hour or longer. Also understand these dudes Kevin, TJ and the others work long hours. 10am to 8 or 9pm some days and you too would take a quick 20 min break. If you werent happy take them up with the owner (first chair on right), from what I have seen he takes pride in the work his barbers put out and will make it right for you. read more

I brought my 14 year old son to get his long curly hair trimmed down short (get a mans haircut), and as soon as I walked in the enviroment was hip, open, fun, and manly. This is a guys type of shop, but it's also able to suit womens hair too. Anyway, we walked in and were helped immediately by TJ who was curteous and helpful in helping us determine a nice hip new hair cut for my son. The haircut took about 40 minutes (mind you my sons hair was loooong and curly, and full), and he ended up getting a nice, clean, trim, 'gentlemens cut' (I think that's what it's called). I was worried that my son would hate the haircut because he's been rocking long curly hair for a while, but it turns out...HE LOVED IT! The guys here are friendly, and they look like they care about what they do. They treat each customer as if they are royalty (hence the shop name "Crowns"). My son will be coming here with TJ for his future haircuts and styles as long as they are in business. The price is very fair, I felt like more should have been charged so I tipped extra, extra. Overall, I was happy with the experience...and most importantly so is my teenage son. read more

The door says walk-ins welcome. I went in and sat down for 20 minutes until a barber came and told me no one there was available that day. I understand appointments are priority but cmon really? At least put up a sign or tell customers right as they enter cluelessly. Then I schedule an appt. with An Vo I believe his name is. The day I'm getting ready to go in he tells me that I didn't clarify my appt the day I scheduled. Even though he gave me a specific time and date. I guess I should have clarified but still he should have been consistent and verified the appt himself before the time came. I been really looking forward to getting a cut here, but seeing how they run the place made me change my mind. Very unprofessional. read more

Hair Weave by Daisha! I walked into Crown over a week ago, the place is clean, well lit and professional, I asked if they had anyone that did hair Weave, I was given Daisha's contact information, I reached out to her and have experienced nothing but all good all day! I had my appointment today for a partial Weave, my hair looks like a million bucks, Daisha told me what she could do for me, she listened to my request and made it happen, the appointment was about 2 hours but seemed shorter, Daisha was very pleasant, professional and well trained! So glad I got my hair whipped by Daisha! I highly recommended Daisha and look forward to our next appointment:-) read more

When it comes to getting a quality haircut, there's only one place I choose to go and that's Crown's Barbershop. Not only are you going to leave with a quality haircut but the overall experience is worthwhile. I've had my haircut in a lot of shops in my life and Crown's hands down is the cleanest and most professional one. You walk into the shop and get greeted immediately. It's hard to find a good barber who is consistent and about their business, Crowns has never let me down and I won't go anywhere else, highly recommend them, cool chill place and more importantly the fades are always on point. I've been going to Crowns for over a year now and I'm always happy. Now, YOU MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. Most barbers are in high demand, so if you walk-in prepare to wait, if theres even a barber available who isn't booked up. Crowns is the best barbershop! Kev the Barber is one of, if not the best barber around. Dude is a perfectionist. I haven't been cut by anyone else since he first cut my head in 2006. I don't know how many times I've been out and about and people are stopping and complimenting my haircut. No matter what type of cut you want he makes sure its fresh and you cant do anything but appreciate that. All the barbers in this shop are really good. I would recommend anyone looking for a quality and way above average cut to go to crowns. They will make you feel welcome and have you fresh by the time you walk out. read more

Crowns is by far the best barber shop I have ever been to! As soon as you walk in its an experience you can not get at any other barber shop in California. Its clean comfortable and luxurious. Crown Barbershop is most definitely a "Class Act". I've been getting my hair cut by the one and only Mr. "TJ Fadeaway" for over a year now and I can honestly say all of the barbers in the shop are phenomenal. TJ brings the heat every time. It's No secret as to why they took honors as Best in the Region. Someone please give them a reality show as all of these hair stylist are Flawless!! The World needs to see them in action. Best barber shop in Solano County! Clean, well maintained, community atmosphere; any and all types of hair welcomed! Family environment as well. All of the barber's are talented and very meticulous, especially Randy, Kevin and TJ! They take their time cutting hair to achieve the maximum results. Schedule an appointment to reduce wait time. Steven A always cuts me and is very detailed always very pleased with his work, but last Thursday I had an evening appointment and his previous clients had him backed up 45mins not his fault. I was going to have to reschedule when the Owner Randy Hill who was getting ready to go home for the evening asked if he could cut my hair. He did an awesome job on my hair/beard very nice man also learned about how Crowns gives back to the community . I called in to Crowns to surprise my fiancé for his birthday with a top notch straight razor shave and a clean cut. By the time we were done, I wasn't disappointed and neither was he! I called in and was immediately greeted by Randy who was fantastic. Randy came in on a Monday when they were normally closed in order to work with my mans schedule and keep things a surprise for him! I have been getting cut weekly or biweekly for over 25 years. While serving in the Navy, I've been to countless barbershops around the country. Since living in Nor Cal, I've been to just about all the shops in Solano County and I must say Crowns is the best! Top notch service, clean, good music, and u might even catch a basketball game on the big screen. Professional, friendly, skilled barbers. I just moved to the area about three months ago and needed to find a place to get my hair done. I couldn't have found a better place or stylist. A Shout out to Jenelle, who is now my regular stylist. Jenelle is professional, has a great personality, and is friendly. I've always had issues with stylist not being able to fade my hair properly or taking a long time to get the job done. Randy is an absolute geniius with the clippers. I have been a faithful client of his for a little over 9 years now and I refuse to let anyone else cut my hair. Every time he's always on point and the appointments are very convenient for me as well. Crown's Barbershop has excellent cuts for the right price! I discovered Crowns because my husband gets his hair cut there and TJ is a long time friend of the family. My husband was very impressed with his Barber and experience and suggested I come. I have been getting my haircut by Blake Faulkner for about 2 years now when he was cutting in Vacaville and I can say he's gotta be one of the best barbers around the area no doubt . Never had any problems and always does great work. I live in Dixon but will make the drive to him because of the work he does . and he also does women's hair ! so if you are ever in the area, go into Crowns and ask for Blake. you won't be disappointed! read more
