I'm surprise for the low stars. We had an all around nice experience. Our server was very sweet and attentive, the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with coastal, nautical vibes with views of the marina. The food was also a hit! They have a smaller portions option which is rare and perfect size for me. Special mention, the Key Lime Pie was one of the best we've had! Food was mediocre at best. Gluten free options are labeled but then not available. Our order was messed up 2 times so my bfs food was cold by the time mine came out, which for the last time was wrong but I didn't care at that point. Don't go if you have allergies. Kitchen didn't know what was gluten free and what wasn't. Our server was very sweet and apologetic. Wasn't her fault. Everyone else needs to be trained more. It's clear. We went to this restaurant because it was rated #3 in the area. It was overpriced and mediocre at Best. We tried fried clams, fried scallops, Lobster Roll, and fish tacos. The fried clams were small and not great. For 31$ the lobster roll was small. I think the scallops were frozen also. The bill was $145 and i tipped 20%. No thanks from the waitress. Went to celebrate a friend's birthday-We are people who love to sit at the bar-what a great decision! Suzie, the bartender made a fantastic Dark and Stormy and she really set the tone for the evening--which was fun and fabulous. Our apps, steamed little necks,clams casino and pulled pork nachos were very good.Especially liked the flavor of the pulled pork! Our entrees, spaghetti and clams and chowder and clam cakes were also quite good. As the evening was ending ,from around the corner came Suzie carrying a beautiful dish with a lovely birthday treat! Going backwards on the road for this, my group was intrigued by the abundant reviews and it fell right into our seafood dinner search radar. The place was packed, with copious cars parked outside when we went on a weeknight. The vibes were so laidback, with friendly service and the whole restaurant singing along to someone's birthday. We could have done without the 6pc Clam Cakes ($7.95). They just tasted like flour to me, which was a disappointment as I thought there would be more clams inside. The Tuna Tower ($12.95) was mistakenly ordered, but not a bad mistake! Hard rice aside, it tasted of home, and the tuna, fresh. I'm surprised at how well priced this was! The Cup of Chowder and 1/2 Lobster Roll ($22.95) was also not bad of a deal, and it came with a side too! The chowder and lobster roll were standard but yum! The Spaghetti & Clams ($23.95) could be a pass. It not only looked bland, but it tasted pretty bland as well. The clams were pretty sweet though! The Baked Seafood Platter ($29.95) was a whole lot of flour, that didn't really taste fresh or was memorable to me. The Swordfish ($24.95) tasted like a regular ol' fish, but I enjoyed the 2 sides it can come with. Same goes for the Fried Clams ($16.95). It was similar to fried calamari. The Seafood Pescatore ($29.95) has to be my favorite of the bunch. Wonderfully flavored, hearty, with plenty of seafood! Portions were huge, but mainly thanks to the plentiful sides our dishes came with! Overall, we had a fun feast that was devoured faster than the time it took to prepare. We didn't choose to sit outside but it looked inviting. Maija stated that the 1/2 & 1/2 was a good choice and if we wanted we could have clam cakes as the side and thereby having a "little of everything". Thank you!! I went with the red (Manhattan) & one of us went with the white (New England) clam chowder and we were all satisfied. The dock was across the street. The only drawback to this place is the parking which is AWFUL as there are nowhere near enough spots for the size of the restaurant . You have to go during off hours to be somewhat assured of a spot. If you can get in there, the food is fine with a wide selection. read more

We used to love this place but during the pandemic & folks were finally getting out, retaurants had a 2 hour limit. We were there just over an hour & the waitress asked if we wanted desert, we didn't but were enjoying a cup of coffee until the manager walked to our table asking us to leave so she could seat someone else. We thought that was not only rude but very unprofessional. Had it been over 2 hours, I would have understood but she wasn't even apologetic when she approached us. We had 10-15 wait to be seated with water view and hostess was great at providing updates on waiting time. We sat inside with view of marina. Food was delicious. One of our absolute favorite places for years. The food is incredible. My husband loves the chowdah and I typically get the lobster salad. The Pt Judith calamari is also a great appetizer to start your meal. The kids portion is large and we typically get 2 meals outbid the pasta for our son. Crow's Nest was great! It's a fun, lively experience outside full of locals. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and our second waiter was the life of the party! We got the tuna tower (pictured), and coconut shrimp (which was a personal favorite) for appetizers. For entrees, we got the baked stuffed lobster which was cooked to perfection, and fish tacos which I highly recommend! The drinks were solid as well. This is a great place for families and friends alike. Make sure you make a reservation for outdoor seating during the warmer months if you want to listen to music and mingle, as the indoor atmosphere is a bit more low-key. The service was a little bit slow, but our wait staff was clearly working incredibly hard on seemingly short staff. We will definitely be returning! read more

Ranking the foods we tried in order, I'd say: 1) Calamari - delicious. I love the RI spin with banana peppers and cherry tomatoes. 2) Fried Clam Strips & Scallops- both really solid and part of the Fried Seafood Platter. 3) Stufie - it was OK, ours was a little overcooked and dry but had decent flavor. 4) Clam Cakes - when we saw cakes on the menu, we thought they'd be more like crab cakes. However, these a basically what I've always known as hush puppies with trace amounts of clam. A bit tasteless... I don't recommend unless you just want to sample local cuisine. Waitress didn't offer so we paid full price for it all. Lobster roll was ok but not really worth the high price. Kind of bland. The food was amazing. The calamari had an amazing texture with a nice tangy flavor due to the peppers. I ordered a lobster roll that comes with an order of fries. The lobster roll had a really good flavor, the bread was warm and it had a nice crisp to it. The fries were also crunchy and the perfect amount of salt. Unfortunately, the clam chowder was the only disappointing dish. It was more of a creamy potato soup with the taste of chowder. It had a lot of potato chunks. The sangria was average. The service was great, very attentive and always checking on me. I did notice that all the tables were getting bread rolls and butter but I wasn't offered any. The lights were very dimmed so it makes for a romantic scenery. This place is sitting by the Ponaug marina and it's beautiful. I would def come again to try other dishes. read more

It was a bit chilly so we didn't get to take advantage of the beautiful scenery but the perks of sitting inside was their very cool fish tank. The staff was super kind and the food came out very quick. Our server was attentive the entire time we were there. We ordered clam chowder and it wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good. I think it's missing a bit of creaminess and the potatoes could be a bit more cooked. However, the burgers stole the show. We ordered the patties medium well so they were very juicy and tender and well seasoned. The bread was soft and soaked up all the flavor from the meat and sauce. The secret sauce was a great addition. The lettuce was a bit soggy (I assume from the hot patty being over it). Another great part of our meals were the sides. The fries were just how I like them--crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with some fry dust on them. The onion rings were crunchy, juicy, and big. Overall I would highly recommend trying their burgers despite this place specializing more in seafood. read more

Thought this was a good restaurant from the reviews , we were wrong. The scallops were dry , overcooked and looked like they were reheated. The baked clams were just a sticky bread paste that stuck to your mouth like peanut butter. Didn't taste any clams at all. The same paste is used to stuff the shrimp. Excellent food and service. I had the Shrimp Scampi over Linguine, rather than over rice as listed on the menu. It was outstanding topped off with a little grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper. The portion was quite generous both the shrimp (about 12 shrimps) and enough linguine for two meals.
