not only will I never use or recommend these people for anything ever again. I may never hire another contractor. this was the worst experience I have ever had with any service provider. period. 15 months to repair damage to basically one room from the winter storm. the workmanship was bad. almost everything had to be done twice. I had to become a person that I am not proud of in order to get them to show up for work. I don't have the time or enough words to express how bad the service was from compassion construction. I found them on the Mark Davis show. 660 AM. I no longer listen to his show because I do not want to hear their advertisements. I have nothing but great things to say about Compassion Roofing. One of my children left the tub running upstairs and it flooded the entire game room, stairwell and bathroom and dining room below. Corey was so quick to get to us. He is very kind and professional. He made certain that everything was complete with not even a flaw. I waited a while to review this company, because I wanted to put their work to the test. It has been several weeks and a few storms later. I have nothing but positive feedback for them :) I had a small area of repair that I needed taken care of on my roof. At the time I had this company out, I was taking bids to repair said area, which at the time was purely cosmetic. I did not have any subroof damage/leaks/attic damage/etc. I simply had a couple of shingles that had come detached either due to wear/wind. Extremely -minor- damage. Not 1000s of dollars worth of work, like every other company was trying to convince me of. Just a minor, small repair. I had a few companies out prior to these guys and they were all trying to get me to replace my entire roof, or else trying to replace an entire side of my roof that didn't need replacing. By the time Corey came out, I was weary and was afraid that I would not be able to find a company that I felt was honest. THESE GUYS WERE HONEST!!! Finally, I was able to find an honest and trustworthy roofer who didn't try to upsell me/push me into filing through my insurance/scare me into thinking my whole roof was compromised. Corey came out, took a thorough look at my roof and assessed the whole situation. I felt very confident that he was actually being truthful and knew what he was doing. He made me feel like I was a valued customer and not just a dollar sign. I felt very confident in my choice to have them repair my roof not just on their honest pricing but also based on his extremely friendly and professional attitude. Thank you for treating me like a competent human being and home owner, and not as if I was just a means to an end. So many roofing companies often take advantage of homeowners and I can honestly say I have had a few of those out to my home. I can see a definite difference with this business, in the way they treat their customers. They did a great job. The repair was done quickly, cleaning and smoothly. I had no problems with billing/balance. The price he quoted me is what I paid, the work looks spectacular and I have had zero issues with leaks. We have since had several large rain and wind storms and my roof is sound, my family is safe and dry and I will forever be using and recommending Corey and his company. We had storm damage to our home from hail and severe weather in 2016. I contacted Compassion roofing and construction general contractor as we had interior damages in addition to the leaks on our tile roof. John came out to assess the damage as well as Corey to double check his estimate. We contracted with Compassion in 8/2016. To date 7/12/2017 the job is still not complete. During this there were weeks at a time where no work was being done. Our tile roof was tarped for 4 months before they even started working on it. During this time they used our landscape rocks, pavers and 1x10 boards to try to keep the tarp down. The entire left side of our home was tarped( it had the tarp on so long that the aerial view of our home on Zillow is proof!)Anytime we had storms or winds it would cause these rocks and pavers, boards to roll around or fall off roof. This damaged additional tiles,landscaping and also my slate tile front porch. Eventually their roofing guys began work in Late January. The work they did was awful. John who was the one supervising our repairs even said it was horrible. They reused the flashing around the chimney,and had not completed the sealing at the peak of the roof as John asked. They also left debris and their garbage behind. All the landscape rocks they had used they just tossed off into middle of our backyard. He had them return 2 more times to fix correctly. The roof tiles that the tarp rocks broke they replaced with old white ones- our tiles are terra-cotta color. The broken slate front porch tiles are still not fixed as they are arguing that they will only replace 4 tiles and no more than that. There are 7 that are broken and several that are lifting up as water and foot traffic is making this worse. They got around to replacing the floors in mid March. This required us to be in a hotel for a week. Instead of putting our furniture and belongings into Pods( like John told us would occur) all our belongings were crammed into our Garage and 2 bathrooms. The 2 movers who showed up had a truck but I guess someone decided the "stuff and cram" method yielded a larger profit margin. The aftermath of this was furniture, wall and door damage. The furniture doctor company that the mover had was very good at fixing the damages that occurred but that didn't have anything to do with Compassion as it was separate and I arranged all of those repairs. The flooring company that Compassion used was horrible. From damage to the baseboards, wainscoting, straight razors left EVERYWHERE, gaps, door jams not fastened or broken, bottom of dishwasher not screwed in,boards laid to tight so they squeak to the carpet in my master bedroom had 2 horribly visible seams and other items as well. They also had laid all the same patterned flooring boards in a section of the kitchen so it looked awful. Eventually I was told that area of the job was at the end and the worker just used whatever he had the most of leftover instead of having pride in his work and rotating the patterns to give a more natural look. John had Antonio from the flooring company come back for my concerns. When he eventually showed up he dismissed every one of my complaints except he did get the quarter rounds nailed down that had been left floating under my kitchen cabinets and my dishwasher panel attached correctly. He told me the same patterned boards in the kitchen would have to have the entire kitchen taken back up and that wouldn't be able to be done. The seams in the master carpet was because the carpet was "tight" and would relax. This was all unacceptable. After we continued to voice our concern and dissatisfaction finally Corey came out to address our complaints. He did get the patterned boards changed in the kitchen and the carpet portion relaid in master bedroom. We have not seen or talked John who was supposed to be managing our repairs after the beginning of April. He sent me an text stating he was very busy with new jobs since the storms and that Jacob or Stephanie would be contacting me to coordinate the jobs still needing to be done. I contacted Stephanie eventually as I never heard from either and neither of them were aware of John's request or handoff of our project. At that time I sent a lengthy email to Compassion listing all the outstanding work still needing to be completed. Mind you this company had been paid over 20k+ to date. A week ago while replacing the carpet in the master to get the seams fixed it was discovered the area where we first had a leak in my master closet was was not fixed on the roof as the floor and wall was wet under the carpet.Compassion told us that our Insurance company did NOT pay for the area in the roof for the leak to be fixed but only the damage this leak caused....Really? Now they are saying they'll be more than happy to fix this (again) for another 2900$. Compassion roofing and construction has turned the repair of our home into a nightmare. I spoke to Corey the salesperson at Compassion Roofing on Sept 30, 2016. He led me to believe that he was the owner. We have a roof option on our purchase contract. I told him that our closing was on Weds, October 12. He said that he could make our deadline - and that he was a member of Gateway Church. Our closing did not take place today and he has not returned our phone calls. I left a message for the VP of operations to call me back but no response. I did talk to him last week to find out why he had not started. He was abrasive on the phone and hung up on me. I called back approx 3 days later and told him that we needed a status on the progress. He told me that he did not owe me any status but only the owner. Our roof option says we are allowed to choose the roofer, and terminate the roofer if need be. I have already fired him, but he insists that i cant fire him. He is sn ASS. Buyer Beware! And he was NOT COMPASSIONATE aT ALL . Dont use them unless you Like Being Ignored!!! ALSO, COREY MY HUSBAND AND I PICKED OUT THE SHINGLE COLOR THE DAY WE MET YOU AT THE HOUSE. Boo Hoo. Our roof option allowed us to choose the roofer. You were a big mistake. You lied to the Realtor and told them we never chose a Color!!! My husband and I were both there. I guess you were too busy flirting with me after my husband left to write the color down. We had already fired 2 other roofers before you. The roofer was our choice. You were supposed to complete the roof by the closing on Oct 12, 2016. You had not even started. I had a leak coming through my ceiling near the fire place. Being a single mom I had absolutely no idea what to do. I found Corey on Yelp and called him over the weekend. He was busy but was able to fit me quickly. He came out on Monday and explained I had water damage up around my chimney. He explained it in a way I understood and answered all my questions. He was so kind and helpful in working with me on a way to pay for their services. His crew did beautiful work and finished in one day. While they were working they noticed the side gate on my fence was also broken, and they offered to fix it without hesitation. After the March, 2017 hail storms (baseball size plus) we had to file an insurance claim. We contacted Compassion Roofing to get another opinion, and Stefanie pointed out a few things we needed to be aware of. Looking at all of the damage, it was more than I wanted to take on for organizing the different trades (roof, fence, drywall, windows, painting, etc), so I agreed to let Compassion take the lead. Corey, at CR, met with my adjuster and they looked over the property and agreed that this would be a $30,000+ job. Compassion scheduled work around our schedule, was able to get the job done, and to our satisfaction with no issues. When a couple of unnoticed items came up, Compassion contacted my insurance company to make updates to the claim. I know big jobs like this require numerous people, and every individual from CR, and all of the subs they used were friendly, professional, and got the job done! read more

Compassion Roofing has cashed 2 checks now for this job without my knowledge, signature or consent and I do have proof of that. They are cashing another now. I had to sign the contract before they would start work, but I wasn't allowed to sign checks, review the work they did and they would not talk to me on the phone. Dale's review is a lie because he and the roofing company all gained from this. What contractor has anyone ever had that cash checks behind a homeowners back? We had a leak in one of the vents on the roof and based on the positive Yelp reviews, I called Corey. He came out as soon as he could that evening (about 6 PM), but due to the rain he couldn't go on the roof. He came back the next day and fixed the issue. No compassion here. Just greed driven over priced policies trying to stick it to your insurance company all while claiming they are protecting you. Called about a leak in my skylight. They offered to put a patch on it due to the weather. They put a 20x30 tarp on the roof to cover a 2x4 skylight with nails every 6 inches around the perimeter of the tarp. Then charged $400 for putting the huge tarp on the roof and $1036 to repair the shingles damaged with the nails o hold down the tarp. What a scam. They never were interested in fixing the leak. They were only interested in roofing the entire house, which the insurance company said I did not need. Then I was left with a bid for $1436 which did not include fixing the leak that was the reason for the original call. read more

Extremely poor customer service! Borederline deceptive marketing. Concerns or complaints are routinely ignored especially as work is subcontracted. Any idea, impression or remote chance that this company is somehow your partner or looking out for you is completely unfounded. Their primary objective is obviously roof replacement which is the most lucrative part of this business so everything quickly aligns with that objective from the get go.The work will eventually be done but don't be disillusioned, you will be in the dark for most of it and no options (if any) will be discussed with you at any point as they will work directly with insurance. read more

I had a roof leak in my house after a big hail storm in the area on a Saturday night. I called Compassion Roofing on Sunday and was surprised that someone answered the phone. I spoke to Corey McLaughlin who said he could come out and inspect my roof the next day (Monday) and that he would also work with my insurance company on my claim. Corey came over Monday and inspected the interior of my home where the leak was and my roof. My husband is in the Army and deployed overseas, so I am left to deal with all the issues regarding the house myself. I could easily be taken advantage of. I feel fortunate that I called Compassion Roofing. Corey was very straight-forward and told me that there was no storm damage to my house, but that I had some maintenance issues that needed to be performed on my roof. Corey said this was a minor repair and even told me that I could probably have a handyman do the work for cheaper. I preferred to have a professional roofing company do repairs to my roof, so I went with Compassion. An employee from Compassion called me the very next day to schedule repairs for the same day (Tuesday). The roofers showed up on time as promised. Today (Wednesday), I had my insurance adjuster USAA come to look at my roof. The adjuster also told me there was no storm damage to my roof and the adjuster examined the repairs that were done and said the roofers did a very good job of doing the repair. The adjuster explained to me that the part which Compassion replaced is a part which wears out due to the extreme heat and sun in this area. Compassion Roofing and their employees were very responsive and acted with integrity. There was no hard sell or pressure to purchase the repair work from Compassion. Additionally, my work was performed in a very expedient manner. I trust Corey and Compassion Roofing and would recommend them highly. read more

After the Wylie hailstorm we had a big job and signed with them and they have been a mess! An absolute 5 month and still continuing nightmare! They are inefficient in the way they send out their subcontractors, they do not come out and check the work that is being done, they have tried to short me on repairs that were listed on our estimate and the list goes on and on. Our representative gives us the run around all the time. There are better places out there people. We had some neighbors whose contractors did things the right way and they were so pleased. It just isn't worth the stress. read more
