She sent a picture to verify what it looked like. When delivered the top was yellow greenish and certainly not matching the cabinet that they made. She refused to replace it or the shower bench or offer compensation in any way. She was extremely rude and aggressive. She said if I did not pay in full they would put a lien on my property. Avoid her and this company at all costs. I sent multiple pictures that clearly indicated what it looked like to no avail. Even the drawer to the cabinet was a piece from another project as it had hinge holes drilled out. She refused to replace the door as well. Just a terrible experience from someone who just doesn't care.

We went from a small, weirdly placed island to a 10' island in the kitchen without moving any walls. Plus, the placement of appliances and spacing is perfect. They were straightforward about the pros and cons of all of the cabinetry options they offered. Some offer more "customized" features and some are more basic. They were very clear about price and timing differences and there was never any pressure to chose a more expensive option. We chose a non-custom option and are delighted with the outcome. From our initial meeting to completion, everything went smoothly. We were given clear details about timing and costs to manage our expectations. Follow up site visits were so appreciated. Their contractors and subs are absolute pros. Not only were they clearly meticulous about installation, etc., but they were all a pleasure to have in our home. We met at the Ferguson showroom and it was a pleasant experience. The total bill came to $35,045, so not an insignificant amount of money. Later, our contractor walked off the job, leaving it unfinished. By this time the appliances had been installed except for the hood vent. "We'll be back to do this," said the install team. Now Ferguson refuses to schedule or install the hood insert because the builder's name is on the paperwork, not mine (our address is too, of course, but that's not relevant to them, apparently). The invoices were paid in full - including the installation charge for the hood vent yet they still refuse. I escalated and spoke with the floor manager, Leah. She was even less sympathetic and helpful than the first person I spoke with. Leah acknowledged that the builder wasn't present when we made selections and that this is essentially just a paperwork / computer problem. In spite of that, they are intransigent. We paid $300 for the installation. It is not a significant sum but it's wrong on principle. They are simply the worst when it comes to actually solving problems.

Matching the grout was extremely important because of the location, and we were concerned about getting the color and type exactly right. Jim provided truly outstanding customer service. He understood that we already had the tile and were only trying to determine the correct grout -- not exactly a big sale. Even so, he went above and beyond to help us. He could have easily handed us a few color charts and sent us on our way, but instead he took the time to carefully assist, answer questions, and make sure we felt confident in our decision. Many companies are attentive during the initial sale, but it's the customer service after the sale that really makes an impression. So like most other homeowners looking for granite installers, I did my online research. I ran…read moreacross the big boys in town, you know the ones often referred to you by the granite warehouses. We even had a couple come to our house for estimates. Both were more interested in telling me what granite I wanted and how I needed to buy from their "preferred" distributor than in listening to me and my wife. I was very unhappy with both of them and knew there had to be a better company in town. I ran across Jacksonville Countertops on both Yelp and here on Google reviews and EVERYONE had great things to say about Chris and his team. My first meeting with him went great, he was courteous and professional and gave me a price THOUSANDS less than the other installers. One had calculated that we required four slabs of granite and was charging me for 164 sq/ft. When Chris measured it, he came up with 114 sq ft and required only three slabs!! Seriously, is that that much abuse in this industry? Do they think that homeowners cant calculate square footage? Chris didn't leave my house before I agreed to hire him. His reviews were fantastic, his price was the best, and we hit it off like we had known each other for years. When he returned a few days later to take measurements, he had the latest and greatest laser measuring system. Gone are the days of the old wooden templates. I was quite impressed and immediately felt even more comfortable that I had hired the right guy. Installation went smooth, he and his crew did it all in one day with perfect fit and finish everywhere. We couldn't be happier with the service, quality and the end result. We are doing my daughters kitchen soon and without a doubt, we will be using Chris and his team. My advice: Go to Granite Depot on Phillips Hiway and choose your slabs, they have the best selection in town. Then call Chris and let him take it from there. You will not regret it!
