It is a good place to bring kids to as there is a playground for them to play on. Parks serve as a gathering spot for communities, it is a place where we can interact with our neighbors, a place to celebrate the joy of family and friends. We need parks such as this one, we need places to remind us that it is the simple things that define us as a people and a community. Englewood Park is a great part of this community.

Parking holds about a dozen cars with a small grassy area that can hold several more as I have seen people do for parties. Although there is not a pavilion here, families do have parties here as there are many concrete tables, grills, benches and a lot of play equipment for children. For the big kids, there is enough large grassy area for football or other large group activities. What is nice, is that there is a lot of shade provided by the many large cypress that have obviously been here a long time. A sidewalk winds its way through the park. There is one water fountain, and a dog depot with bags for doggie waste. There is a porta potty, but no free standing bathroom. A nice, large shady park for an afternoon, party, or some football.

Traffic was…read morepretty snarled up near the venue and parking is difficult, but several places were offering parking for $20 cash. We were able to get parking nearby and walk easily to the event. The park itself is setup well for events. Plenty of open area for booths. They had clear entry and exit areas and security staff to handle entry. The general line was very long, but the security was professional and did their best to move things along. They had porta-potties and mobile real bathrooms in VIP at this particular event. They also had plenty of trash cans. They did need more accessible water for purchase. It was mostly at just the bar huts and those lines were very long. Not good on a hot day when you aren't allowed to bring in your water bottle. The ground is also pretty uneven in spots, so just need to be mindful of that for people with mobility issues. I would go here again for another festival.

The venue was packed with people in long lines trying all types of Asian food and drinks. The longer the line the more popular the food. I tried several different types of food dumplings, kabobs, fries and tempura shrimp. The dumplings and tempura shrimp were good. The fries were too salty and the kabobs (chicken, beef and lamb) were tuff grizzly and hard to get off the stick. The food tasting range in price from $10-25 which was a bit expensive but a good time was had. Some of the foods I wanted to try had too long of a line for me to wait and pay the high price. Since public transportation nor ride share was an option I drove and parked about five blocks away. No complaint because it was free. The event last three days not sure if I would pick Saturday next time.

The wetlands were created in 1991 between the Lake Davis and Lake Como neighborhoods as a stormwater treatment facility to handle the water run off. While the main purpose of the park is to clean the reclaimed water, a welcome byproduct of that is that it attracts a lot of wildlife. Wetland parks are some of my favorite kind of parks because they attract a variety of wildlife including wading birds, migrating birds, lizards, turtles, and alligators. At the entrance to the park is a community garden and Little Library. My favorite part of the park is the 0.7-mile loop trail surrounding Lake Greenwood that takes approximately 13 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and walking. Along the way you will pass cypress trees, cross two bridges, and see a variety of birds enjoying the lake. Animals that have been spotted here include blue jays, ducks, barn owls, and red wing blackbirds. During my visit I saw a Great Blue Heron and a Great Egret along with ducks. The scenery during my walk was stunning. I saw a number of people reading, playing with their kids, and exercising. This is an ideal place to practice your photography, bird, watch, and have a picnic. This is such a wonderful natural resource for the city of Orlando and I loved my visit.
