They charged $10 dollars for the bucket, even the balls were substandard, old and beat up. The condition of the range was deplorable, tall grass and weeds prevalent, not mowed grass. I suggest you do not waste your time and Money at this place!!

The manager Joe took about 15 minutes to come talk to us to close the pending charge. Definitely not very empathetic to us for his employees' mistake. Joe didn't even apologize for the error. Then another 15 minutes for my grandson to get his golf ball from the vending machine which was stuck. Shame on them!

There arent a lot of great restaurant options in las cruces so we were expecting to go and have a nice evening, enjoy the sunset and catch up. Instead, we got servers who came over and proceeded to argue with what the problem was. the place has great views, but if they could step up the service and be more "friendly" it would go a long way. The significant amount of time between many of the strokes made it difficult to get into a rhythm. The pace of play and the fact there was nothing remarkable about the course means there is no reason to return if ever in the area.

Last summer under the new management I also had the Ahi Tuna (yes, in the desert) and it was fabulous. Salads I've had were wonderful and today I had a quick bowl of chili. The chili was a good temperature. Not too hot, it wasn't nuked. The seasoning is great and thick, the way chili should be. I've spent time on the deck, in the dining room and in the tap room. The service has been excellent. The staff is pleasant, attentive and know the menu as well as their jobs. The decor is continuing to be updated and there are new tables, new paint and new decor. I really hope the word get out about this great dining, snacking, golfing experience. I'll follow up again this coming summer. I can't wait to see you again.

There are 2 cart paths at the end of the parking lot that take you 3 different directions with zero signs directing you to the driving range. I Was repeatedly scolded for diving through bunkers and desert, but guess what, you cannot tell the difference between any of them. The greens were hairy as hell and nobody warned us that they were not cut on a SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY Morning. Are you kidding me? I missed 3 fairways all day and still shot 80. It was despicable! I will never play this course again and if any of you are looking for a challenge I wouldn't recommend Butterfield because the course maintenance is so atrocious that scratch golf will only end up pissed.
