We were intrigued by the American White Pelicans we saw from the road. We pulled over and watched them for awhile. Such a cool sight! There's a marsh on the other side of the byway where we saw mallard ducks. Such a beautiful area. Would recommend.

The furniture is very nice, the bed was very comfortable, the electric fire place kept us warm through the night and we loved the rustic feel of the entire place. Even the bathroom is nicely updated and spacious with a great shower. The lodge sits in a nice neighborhood a little off the beaten path. Town is a quick drive away if you need to stock up on anything, find a restaurant, or stores. There is a small fridge available in the rooms. There is a common area with a hot tub and a grill that can be used but we didn't check out that area so I can't give it any rating with my review. The owners of the lodge also have the MotoFantasy business at this location if you'd like to rent a motorcycle to tour around on. We got a chance to look at some of the bikes, and chat with one of the owners, but didn't have time on our trip to rent a bike. Our only complaint was how loud the noise is from others staying in the lodge. It's not that the neighboring people are intentionally being loud. The lodge itself just has a very hollow sound throughout and isn't set up to soften the noise coming from other rooms. We could clearly hear others talking, phones beeping and ringing, TV, doors opening and closing, others showering, toilets flushing and just general walking and moving around. It made for a loud evening & morning. We left pretty early due to this. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to the area. It's a very nice lodge and an awesome place to check out the motorcycles. Just bring some ear plugs for a good nights sleep.

I didn't catch her name but she was very friendly. She asked if we needed anything after doing a quick scan of our room and even went to see if she could find decaf coffee for us. Which speaking of coffee, its a real coffee pot with real coffee! Not just the pods. Some stir sticks would be nice. Our two good sized dogs had plenty of yard to run around (we made sure to clean up after them immediately each time). The room was clean and cute. We did move the furniture around to suite us better. The chair sits in front of the couch due to it being a small room. It still worked perfect for us. We sat on the couch and used the ottoman to play cards and dice while we watched a Halloween movie. The gas fireplace in the corner was a nice touch. It was a super cozy evening! There are two adjoining doors on either side of the room if you had friends or family in other rooms. The refer is a good size for drinks and snacks. The bathroom is big with a big walk in shower. Easily fit 2 of us. It did take me several minutes of messing with all the knobs to figure out the shower. The water pressure was just OK. The temperature knob was very touchy... quickly went from warm to hot. Check in and out was super simple. I sent a text to Gloria and she was quick to respond. I am giving 5 stars, even with the minor issues, because overall it was a great stay and we will be back for sure!

We used to come over (from Salem) perhaps 6 times per year. Now, it's 1 or 2. The taxes literally can add $600 to the bill! Anyway, Sunset Realty does a great job, but the tax rates are killing their vacancy rates.

Premium sites were reserved for those that can afford to rent spots and yet do not have to occupy…read morethem! These rented sites sat vacant for the four days we were there while we were left with an undesirable spot! With some pressure they gave us another "Premium" site situated in a gravel area with roads on two sides and another trailer situated 12 feet from ours. Fire pits and picnic tables in that area are unusable due to the proximity of neighbors. Attached are photos of the first "Premium" site we were given.... Yes that is actually a site next to public areas and fuel tanks! Terrible!

Their "premium drive through" spots are misleading. They are drive through, but certainly not premium. Electric only. No water nearby, sp. 55. Several spots stacked on one another. Our trailer and the motor coach next door, were only 12' apart. Gravel only and the fire pit and picnic table were virtually unusable due to proximity to the road. Our rate was $75/night, with a supposed 20% "FLASH" discount. This is a crowded, over-priced RV facility that has gone downhill in recent years. SAD!

Been…read morecoming here for many years & have noticed a big difference as the trees around campground are dead, I think a beetle is killing valuable trees that provide most needed shade during the warm summers besides it looking sad without the greenery. The lake is slowly growing some sort of algae, I'm not a scientist so don't know the scientific name. Yet there are plenty of areas that are free of it & yet so stunning you can see the fish in the water, it's that clear & so very refreshing to take a dip in. The 7 1/2 mile hike is spectacular, picturesque at its best that pics don't do justice. With the lodge at about the half way point. Talk plenty of water should you decide to hike as it's worth the breath taking views. The caveat.. mosquito's lots of mosquitoes on the low spots of the marshy lake so be prepared with repellent. There's also hot springs! You can get there by hiking in, paddle boarding & kayaking. It's well signed if you decide to detour during the hike. It's also a popular spot for fishing so be prepared when campers or locals start their engines at o dark thirty. It isn't much of a problem because it's so darn relaxing you could take a nap midday if that's what you choose to do. New Berry National volcanic monument is nearby for an outing but be prepared as it's a rough ride but the sights are spectacular! So if you want to check out with very limited cell service, breath in that lake fresh air, get some exercise & have Bend, Sisters nearby than this is your campground. No power or water connections for RVs. We took our kayaks & paddle board & always have a spectacular time.

The lodge is spacious and nice. Food is pretty standard for a ski mountain. People are super friendly. The mountain itself is stunning. Views of a huge lake and you can see the clouds. It's beautiful. Ticket prices vary by day and how far in advance you buy. They have a reloadable card which is great. When you buy a ticket it automatically goes to the card so when you get there you can just hop right on the lift. Overall, solid mountain for a day trip.

This place is amazing for the price. $20 and you can ski/snowboard all day. Ski and snowboard rentals are also only $20 and they have free parking. This place is only an hour from bend, OR. I think this place is a gem. There's one lift up to the peak which isn't crazy high. And then you can ski the front side or the back side of the mountain. From the peak, you have beautiful lake views. There's plenty of green blue and black runs to choose from. If you're a beginner, this place is a great place to learn. If you're an expert, you can enjoy this place in one day. I would love to come back here, this place has everything you need and you're not being price gouged like every other ski resort in America.
