My stay at the Oxford Hotel in Bend was absolutely outstanding--easily a 5-star experience from…read morestart to finish. What truly set it apart for me was how incredibly dog-friendly they are. Traveling with a pet can sometimes feel like a hassle, but here, it felt like my dog was just as welcomed and pampered as I was. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted my dog with genuine warmth, offering treats, a cozy dog bed, and even special amenities that made the stay feel thoughtful and personalized. It wasn't just "pet-tolerant"--it was truly pet-celebrating. The attention to detail made a huge difference, and it was clear they go above and beyond for guests with furry companions. Beyond that, the hotel itself is beautiful--modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the beds are luxurious, and everything feels high-end without being pretentious. If you're traveling with your dog and want a place that treats both of you like VIPs, the Oxford Hotel is hands down one of the best choices out there. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Bend again! Also, the coffee in the room was excellent!!

Fantastic stay, from start to finish, top to bottom. Thank you, Oxford Bend!…read more Exceptional service by all: valet, bells, front desk, housekeeping, operator. So helpful, always friendly and with a smile. Our king room on the top floor was very well appointed and squeaky clean. Huge TV, big soaking tub plus separate shower and WC (having the toilet in its own room is so nice). Loved the soap menu(!) as well as the stainless steel French press and not one or two but three different roast options for morning coffee. Enjoyed the sauna and hot tub in the fitness center. They also have a steam room and various exercise machines and weights in the space with an expansive view of downtown Bend. I would love to return to this fine hotel whenever I find myself back in Bend. It was a most wonderful home away from home for a few days.

Campfire Hotel - Lack off black out curtains sucked.

I did go to my car and there were 4 younger guys still hanging outside drinking and smoking at 11:30pm at night but my unit has a great fan and I didn't hear them. Another con which sucked was their shades aren't black out curtains. They need to upgrade those. I couldn't even bring them to fully cover my window. Also the wall paper has some cowboys staining me to bed all night and watching the bedroom magic happenings.... Or lack there of

Summary: Cons: bad…read moreinternet, cleanish, outdated bathroom fixtures, can be loud, few convenient outlets, limited breakfast options Pros: fridge and microwave in room, spacious room, cute decor details Details: The Campfire Hotel is right in town. It's not a hotel but a MOTEL, as the doors to the rooms face the outside. The big "campfire" centerpiece of the hotel is a fire pit in the parking lot. They seem to spend more money on decoration than the infrustructure, trying to appeal to a hipster crowd. I felt bad for the front desk staff trying to check in a long line of guests because the computer system was very slow and we all waited a long time. I am writing this review on my phone while waiting for my computer to load because the internet keeps going in and out, and when it is working, it is VERY slow. Also, the bathroom area is outdated. My sink is cracked, the toilet seat is peeling, and the shower is dripping all night. The cleaning is suspect, as I found old contacts on the bedside lamp. The furniture choices are uncomfortable: a fuzzy stool for the desk and metal chairs for the table. The desk and fridge are full of snacks and beer for purchase (not my thing but maybe others appreciate?). The outlets by the bed and desk are used up by the lamps. No extra towels in room. I haven't tried the pool area yet.

Have stayed here once before and dismissed some of the quirks that time (an older room, 1st edition…read moreflat screen tv, etc) to the benefit of a larger room, and getting the free drink when you check in. However this time when checking in my keywords worked so went to dinner but when returning neither of them worked anymore so couldn't access my room and the hotel wasnt staffed after 8pm (I got back around 930). The main entrance door lock didnt work (security issue for an unstaffed hotel) so at least I was able to stay in the lobby while trying to figure out what to do. They have an emergency assistance number of the front desk to call but no one answers it so after multiple unanswered calls and voicemails to that resorted to calling misc numbers on post it notes behind the counter. One of those ended up in being maintenance who was able to get a hold of his manager who then got a 3rd party security to let me in. During all this another mom and daughter returned to also find their keys no longer worked as well. Once back in the room there was sounded like running water from the unit above all night long. Their is a counter over the back of toilet so the lid only stays up if you are seated holding it up with your back. One of the bedroom lamps hasnt been cleaned in a long time with the amount of bugs on the inside. When checking out in the morning noted the keycard issue which staff was very dismissive of me being locked out and them not answering their phone saying yeah they deactivate then with a list of items that will deactivate them such as phone, credit cards, etc. The keycards I had always kept in a separate pocket from those items as when checking in they mentioned to not keep by wallet or phone. Continental breakfast is subpar in comparison to the other hotels of a similar price point. Free parking with a parking lot is nice.
