This place never disappoints! The staff are friendly and even though they do get busy, they are always quick to place the orders and the line moves along pretty fast. While on our little date journey around 28th street, me and my wife both saw the tempting pink building that we'd heard held all the yummy goodies around. So since we both have such a sweet tooth, we stopped in to try... it was such a good decision on our part. I got the tres leches (which just oozed flavor), and my wife got the banoffee (which she devoured as well). For some reason, Crumbl Cookies kept showing up on my Yelp app for the past month, so I decided to go and check it out. I read on their website that they change their cookie options daily, so before going, I went on their Facebook page (which is always very updated) to see which cookies they are making for the week. I saw a picture of their Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookie on their Facebook page, and immediately salivated. The picture of that cookie made my mouth water so much that I new I had to try it the next morning (and it was their last day to sell it). I went into Crumbl Cookies at 8am on Saturday. I was surprised they opened so early on a Saturday! There were around 6 workers in their kitchen already, making and baking cookies. The place was super clean, bright, and minimalistic in decoration, which I really liked. They lay out samples of their cookies of the week on a sheet at the front counter, which I found really helpful. I picked a 4-pack, and requested for the Classic Pink Sugar, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, Macadamia Nut, and Brownie Fudge. The sizes are all pretty large. They packed it up as I ordered each one, and had it all nicely in their super cute pink box by the time I finished paying. It was sweet - the girl kept the box open, and asked, "does this look good to you?" to make sure she got the cookies that I ordered. All of them, except for the Classic Pink Sugar, was fresh from the oven and so warm. I could see what the fuss was about. The cookies were really good. The Pumpkin Chocolate chip was so soft and practically melted in my mouth. I could taste both the pumpkin and chocolate chips. The Macadamia Nut was really good too, and the Brownie Fudge was so rich and melted in my mouth too. The Classic Pink Sugar was really good - it is served slightly chilled, which I thought complimented the rest of the cookies well. What caught me by surprise was the slight almond taste of the frosting - which made it such a pleasant surprise. None of the cookies were too sweet, which was something I really appreciated. I've been reading great reviews of Crumbl Cookies since they opened in Grand Rapids and finally got a chance to check them out recently while in the area. The cookie options change daily, with four or five different specialty flavors available each day. The classic milk chocolate chip is available daily, and is served warm. The app tells you if a cookie is served warm, chilled, or bakery temperature (room temp). I did a quick Google and it seems like they have a LOT of different cookies, so if you find one you like, I guess stock up since they rotate through a lot of different cookies. It's a pretty smart business model, to have people checking each day to see if their favorite cookie is being served! When we were there, we ordered the chilled sugar cookie, Lucky Charms, chocolate chip, and the cornflake marshmallow. The cookies are about $4 each but they're pretty big. We originally were only going to get two cookies, but they all looked so good we went with a box of four. I'm sort of picky about cookies and usually only like soft and fluffy cookies - these definitely hit that mark. The chilled sugar cookie was my favorite, with a strong almond flavor and sweet pink frosting. The inside was a bit underbaked which is my preference. The chocolate chip cookie was tasty but nothing mind-blowing. The cornflake marshmallow had sort of a Rice Krispie treat vibe going on with some caramel flavor, pretty tasty. The Lucky Charms was a fun treat but pretty sweet. Overall they were all quite sweet but I guess that's the point of a cookie! If you don't like really sugary cookies, these might not be for you. I'm glad we checked it out. It's not a place I need to go often, but maybe next time I'm in the area I'll check the app to see if anything catches my eye that day. read more

You can't go wrong with the sugar cookie or chocolate chip. Yes you can use a knife, but I bought the $5 cookie slicer and love it to quickly and easily divide the cookies into 4 pieces to share. The store is always busy and the staff is welcoming. I order on the app (plan on at least 20-30 min) and when you click HERE in the app, that's when they package and ice it so don't think it's instantly ready when you walk in, but they're pretty quick. I'm honestly obsessed with this place and was so excited when one opened in Grand Rapids a couple months ago. It's a little pricey but the cookies are HUGE. A 4 pack is 11 dollars and some change while an individual cookie is 3.50 I believe. The line moves fast if there is one and you don't have to wait longer than a couple minutes for your order either. I love any variation of a chocolate cookie they have here the best. The peaches and cream cookie I had was delicious as well. I went back a couple weeks after these pictures were taken to get another 4 pack of their weekly flavors and they were awesome as well. I love that they have rotating flavors every week. It makes it so fun and I get excited to check the new flavors on social media on Sunday nights. This place will definitely see me as a regular! read more

This was my first time to Crumbl and I was surprised to see the employees making the cookies right in front of my eyes! It smelled delicious and my cookie was warm when I received it. I am not a huge fan of the fluffiness and salt added to the chocolate chip cookie, but it was decent and I know it was fresh! I'd try another kind next time. It looked like one employee was making a brownie of some sort but I didn't see that on the menu anywhere (the menu was rather small IMO). I hear they have different cookies available depending on the day so maybe I need to go back on another day to try whatever the brownie creation was! The space is a bit small but everybody seemed to be taking their cookies to go (including us) so it works! I'd imagine they'd make a killing with a drive through! read more

I ordered a box of 6 for delivery directly from Crumbl's site. I guess I assumed they had their own delivery service, but my order was actually delivered via DoorDash. The tip function on their site says that the entire tip amount goes to the bakers. So what does the delivery driver receive? The delivery fee? It's unclear and I actually ended up tipping the driver out in cash because I was afraid of shorting him. Delivery also took longer than estimated as it appeared that the driver had other stops prior to mine. Not an issue, but I would have appreciated a more accurate estimate. The chocolate chip cookies were good, but way more underdone in the center than I would have enjoyed. They were also less "warm" than I was expecting. The rice krispy treat was probably the best of the entire order, a great balance of marshmallow, butter, and vanilla flavor and the perfect consistency. The Reese's pb cookie was decent, as was the Twix (rotating flavors). I really liked the concept of Crumbl but was a little let down by the experience and value. They would make a good last minute comfort gift for loved ones, and I will keep them in mind for that sort of occasion. read more

WOW! These cookies will blow your socks off. They are huge and amazingly good. Some pretty standard staples, like chocolate chip that are excellent, but they also do up some really delicious flavors - my favorite was the Key Lime. The surprise one was the Cornbread cookie with a blob of frosting on top that tasted straight up like honey butter. Their cookie flavors change every week, which is both good and bad. If I were reviewing based on cookie taste alone, this would be five stars. But honestly every time I've gone in the past few months the experience has gotten worse. The wait times are unholy, and thats with ordering ahead AND waiting until the app says the order is ready before you go in to pick it up. The kids that run the place are slower moving than zombies and about as lively. And honestly the appearance of the cookies themselves has really started to slack lately. They're messy, inaccurate and, inconsistent in size, shape and decoration. And I just can't justify the compromises with the price. This used to be a weekly must for me, sometimes making a special trip to get my four pack of must haves. This is a relatively new cookie place here in Grand Rapids, but they already seem to have all of the kinks worked out. I arrived on the second day, and everything seems to be very smoothly run. The business itself does not offer dine in, but the ordering process is very quick and clean. As a sister itself, the store is spotless. It's almost like an Apple store and how cool clean and quality it is. They are observing Covid Park oceans, and seem to be taking it seriously. The cookie menu varies from week to week, but the ones I had were delicious. Warm, quite a good size too, which is good considering that the price is a little high. The cookies are 1) not that good, and 2) really expensive. I genuinely recommend heading over to Meijer, instead, and buying one of their large store-baked cookies, often available for a buck. Better and cheaper. In general, the cookies here are just barely baked (better than overdone, I suppose), don't taste that great, don't taste much like cookie, and while they're large, cost way too much. It was $3.50 for a pretty disappointing maple cinnamon roll cookie. That's some real west coast hutzpah there. Take the chocolate chip cookie. They use a lighter chocolate chunk instead of dark chocolate, which may or may not be your thing, and the cookie dough itself doesn't quite have that "Wow, what a great cookie" taste you get from...pretty much any other chocolate chip cookie. Like, go buy some Nestle dough from the store and bake your own. Those taste much better. The maple cinnamon roll cookie was hardly a cookie at all. The dough was strange -- incredibly light and fluffy -- and didn't have a cookie flavor. In fact, this cookie was so light and fluffy that you couldn't "tear off" a piece, or bring a piece to your mouth, because it just fell apart in your fingers. And the flavor...just not that good. On the busy opening week Friday night, the cookies were fresh and warm. I'm not sure if they always bake them fresh? I suppose that would be one benefit, but without an eating area, I'm not sure how many people would enjoy them hot and fresh. Apparently this is a family-owned chain out of Utah. Opening night was staffed in part by the owner's kids. There was a DJ with a table covering and canopy all specifically branded for Crumbl. As you can see from the pictures, they also make sure to brand the takeout boxes with a pink, trendy box. And that, I think, tells you what you need to know about this place. The schtick seems to be the usual west coast trend of dressing up a basic product with cute branding so that people will go there and spend way too much money. One problem I see with this place sticking around is that there doesn't seem to be much place to sit and eat. The idea that students would swing by for an over-priced treat doesn't seem likely given the lack of tables. That said, in a place like Grand Rapids, this sort of trendy shop might survive just because enough people will keep coming by to try it out, spending way too much on cookies for special events and such. The biggest disappointment here is just how unimpressive the cookies are. We didn't try the sugar cookies or the dark cookies, so it's not like we tried the entire menu. But when their story involves testing cookie after cookie until they perfected the recipe...I dunno, I expected better. Not because these aren't the best cookies I've ever had, but because they're not even average. I hate leaving a negative review for a family-owned business trying to expand its reach, but given they have a number of locations already, I assume they're doing just fine, despite people like me who find it unthinkable that this sort of business should survive. I would not recommend this place, and I would not bring people from out of town here. I guess they're not the first bad business based in Utah to claim perfection and actually be completely awful. They should've done what Joseph Smith did and plagiarize a better recipe. read more

Well, we ordered on the app like 4 hours before we arrived at the place only to wait an hour for our order. They said that the galaxy cookie had to cool down. We continued to wait only for them to say that they were out of milk for the topping for the cookie. The first time they did not mention anything about milk. There were sooo many people there that everyone decided that they would ALL go inside. Everyone was nearly on top of each other. Some had to go outside of course. I mean what good is the app if you have to wait there anyways when you get there. Also your cookie is still NOT guaranteed to be available‼ They seem to be ALWAYS out of a cookie. Meh, I think it's possible I'm just not a fan of Crumbl cookies overall, so in saying that, I'll stick closer to service on this review. The restaurant is clean and and the staff is fast at putting orders together. I'm docking points because the staff always seems annoyed to help people, especially at the register, which makes for an uncomfortable experience for the customer. Also, the guy making the cookies was wearing gloves, which was great....until he walked over and opened the door to go outside and deliver the cookies for curbside pickup, and then touched the door handles with his gloved hands again to come back in, and then walked behind the counter and started preparing cookies while wearing the same exact gloves he had just touched dirty door handles with twice, right in the middle of cold and flu season. Nope! No thank you. That's just gross. Pass on coming here and pick one of the other cookie locations in town if you can! read more

Honestly not impressed. Got to the location with a snaking line almost out the door. 8 people working but none of them were actually working more waiting for something to happen. We got ours and I wasn't going to be a karen about the boxing or display but still was a bad impression. A women who had been there for awhile got very upset just before we left saying everyone who ordered after her an already gotten their cookies and was gone. The lemon cookie was still hot in the box but was not cooked all the way through... don't know how to feel about that. Overall the store was clean but wouldn't go back for the service. read more
