I called the other day to confirm hours and they confirmed the hours on the website and online were correct and that they would be there, so I didn't feel I needed to call again. So I made the 20 min drive out there just to find they were closed. Wow, the "soft opening" probably went better than they could've expected! I went and found myself waiting in a 2.5 hour line for 6 cookies. Tried this a place a few times before reviewing. Conclusion: Overrated. Constantly sold out of cookies. Went a couple of times within the first month of opening. Stupidly waited over an hour for cookies only to get extremely disappointed they were out of the cookies I wanted to try, both times. They didn't care, their solution was they'd be done in 10 minutes and to hop back in the hour long line to take another gamble at getting the cookies you want. Red flag. Final straw, took a big bite out of the cinnamon roll cookie I ordered a week ago only to be greeted with a long hair that I got to fish out of my mouth. There was a hair baked into the cookie. I was so disgusted, obviously it went in the trash. I have a hard time with the thought of ever returning! I HATE hair in my food. Yuck. Cookies were good but unfortunately the experience wasn't great. Was asked to stand outside in 30 degree weather because they didn't want more than 10 customers inside at a time. While standing in line the sold out of carrot cake cookies so I changed my order to only 4 cookies. While waiting for my order they sold out of peanut butter cookies and were replacing ordered peanut butter cookies for a fresh batch of carrot cake that just finished. I politely asked if I could switch a chocolate chip for a carrot cake since they weren't available at time of order and I was told they couldn't do that because of their cookie system. I love Crumbl and this location, although a bit out of the way, has always had an amazing selection and quick service. Mind you I order ahead on the app to avoid the lines. I think if you are in a hurry and you don't want to wait in the line this is the best way to go. You put your order in and wait in your car until your number is up. When I went to pickup the cookies I was told they didn't have all that I ordered because they give preference to those customers who walk in rather than pre-orders! So what's the point of pre-ordering if you're not getting what you paid for in advance!! Cookies are way overpriced to begin with but to have this type of service is ridiculous. This location is VERY poorly run. I understand it's new but knowing how popular crumbl is across the country they didn't plan accordingly. You can not just close during the day randomly because you don't have cookies, the one thing you sell. This is unacceptable. I run a coffee shop and I can't close randomly and keep good will with customers. Also, I have heard of employees, shift leads actually canceling orders in the morning because it makes them happy to just cancel peoples catering orders. This is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE customer service. The app still isn't up to order ahead for pickup even though the owner said it would be functioning by April 6th. Get it together crumbl. When we arrived the line was out the door. The line was moving quickly and we made our way inside in no time. We got inside and we're the 4th people from the register. All of a sudden the worker taking orders disappeared & no one resumed taking orders. We stood at a standstill for 30 minutes. They were fulfilling order ahead orders but no one was taking the orders of the people standing in line. The worker who was taking the walk in orders reappeared but then started helping fill the online orders. It would have been helpful ti have been communicated to what was going on & why were having to wait & how long we were gonna be waiting for. No one seemed to be in charge & directing the staff/customers. Not worth standing in line for 2 hours. Service is horrible, you can tell that it is fully run by teenagers. Putting cookies in a box should not be hard but these 16 year olds know how to make it look impossible. Nikolai made sure he called every order that was not there before taking any orders or making any orders for the customers already there. Once I did finally receive my cookies one of my cookies was broken in half and quite obviously just thrown into the box. We waited 20 min for them to "take a break to catch up on orders" but immediately after the break they took two orders just to start another break. If you ever consider getting these cookies you must order ahead because the workers have all of their focus on those orders. One lady in line with me commented and told me that this was her fourth time trying to get cookies here without leaving in frustration. honestly if it was my first time coming to crumbl today i would never come back. the staff were extremely rude and inconsiderate and my cookies were terrible. i came at 9pm and i ordered the pink sugar, dulce de leche and mixed berries since everything else was sold out after i drove an hour to get them. my pink sugar cookie was frozen and i couldnt even bite into it and when i told the staff they replaced it with no issue and it was still yet again frozen. the dulce de leche was literally in pieces and i didnt even try to eat it. im honestly disappointed with my experience and i have been coming regularly since they opened. i wont be coming back. read more

On 5/11/2022 I ran over to the Lakeside location after I got off work at 5:30pm and I expected a line and a wait. There were about 10 of us waiting outside to get inside. My wait time outside was about 20 minutes. Once inside the wait was horrible. I realize they are short staffed and newly opened (it's over a month now, yes?) but I counted well over 15 people working and I've never seen so many unmotivated slow workers in my life. All but two employees were rolling dough and preparing the cookies to be made and this is where I think they have kinks and need a better system: One employee was behind the register taking orders and after each order that she took she had to stand there and watch the one and only one other employee boxing the cookies and she couldn't take the next order until that order was filled and handed off. There was only one employee boxing up orders and once the cookies were placed in the box they had to then be frosted/decorated. This took forever! I realize they are serving fresh cookies but why can't they come up with a way of having them premade as long as they are made that day? This one person boxing up and decorating is assinine. They need a much faster process and they need more than one person boxing up the cookies when the line is going out into the parking lot. My wait time was over 1 hour. Also, people who had placed orders online were coming in which only slowed up the people who were waiting in line. The cookies were delicious but the system of how the orders are handled is terrible and I hope they get that worked out. I wouldn't go back again until the hype dies down. read more
